Description of Work: Termite damage to my home resulted in having to jack up the house and remove damages joists. Ricky came out and described the process. Carpenters arrived on time and completed the job within a week. Excellent service and good job.

There were many out-of-the-ordinary custom design aspects of the house that were tricky to execute which were expertly executed. And the contractor kept his word on costs even at his personal expense. Overall I was very pleased - would have him build another house without hesitation.

 + 1 moreIt was okay quality work. Cabinets were not custom made but purchased from a manufacturer of pre fab cabinets, which I was under the impression they were custom made. I had to do the electrical. Not included. The marble countertop was delivered and drilled in a rush by contracted helpers. They measured and drilled too quickly and I noticed that the faucet holes were not centered correctly. Luckily, the faucet installer compensated by adjusting the mounting. Overall, I thought it was over priced by 1,000.00 dollars, but, I had to let my wife be in control.

Description of Work: Repaired the deck on the back of the house replacing the floor boards and railing. Repaired the dock and jet ski ramps replacing all the rotten wood. Straightened out the pilings supporting the boathouse and added supports.

 + 4 moreThe job is still in process (almost completed). Took a little longer than originally thought due to my home being older and he ran into some problems that we did not know were there (i.e. plaster walls with a layer of sheet rock over the plaster). He did the job for the quoted price even though it took longer. Mr. Whiddon was extremely professional. He showed up when he said he was going to (which is a rarity today!) He has done a good job and has been a pleasure to deal with. I would highly recommend him and would use him in the future.
Description of Work: Mr. Whiddon tore out a wall, replaced some flooring, replaced my kitchen counter top, kitchen sink and faucet, removed a dishwasher and installed a pocket door in my bathroom.

 + 5 moreThis fellow is terrific, no bull. He does exactly what he says he will do and then goes a step further. He was a bit slow but the end result was worth it. He responded quickly to my phone calls and even on weekends.
Description of Work: Whiddon remodeled the kitchen and bath as well as working on windows, doors, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.

Description of Work: the contractor was responsive in coming to my home and looking the job over and being courteous,and in describing what job i needed to be done, the contractor noticed they were other minor services that could be dealt with and in agreeing with him we discussed a job that would in all take a day an a half, the job would consist of some carpenter work and some painting..so! after he left, I did not hear no more from him, till, I called him on the 20th of Nov, in the conversation,the contractor replied that it had slipped his mind and did apologise,and followed by asking for my E-mail only to call him rite back at the phone number he was talking from and leave the information on his voice mail. still have not heard from or recieved a quote by E-Mail yet. So !! with that being said,,Good LUCK! to any one choosing this contractor for work..D.E. MACON,GA. did I leave anything out Rick?

Description of Work: Mr. Whiddon provided outstanding service to repair our water-damaged home, fix a leaky roof, replace window sashes, install "crickets" to divert rainwater around chimneys and walls, replace and add gutters, replace rotten siding and soft, and other small repairs around the house. His bid was exactly as we asked for the costs to be broken out, did not change except where we added improvements, and the work was done in a timely manner. His crews were professional, courteous, and cleaned up after themselves. He even provided a port-a-potty so they wouldn't be coming into the house unless needed to do work. A very nice man with excellent references. We will definitely use Mr. Whiddon again.
