Description of Work: Arrived on Thurs. 3/24/16 and didn't introduce himself. Was checking my washer for a burning smell. Never commented on the fact that although it showed the lid lock was on that he could still open the lid. Didn't comment on the fact that the washer tub wasn't spinning. He just said that he couldn't find anything that would make it smell the way I described. He told me that when the machine broke maybe then he could figure out what was going on. Still took my money though. Called him a few days later and come check on the machine again. 4 days later he called me back and left a message. I called him back 5 min. later and he didn't answer the phone. I will never use them again. This is the second time that they've been rude to me. Won't happen again.

Description of Work: Mitch came and resolved several issues for us... including swapping out a light fixture, replacing a circuit breaker and a bad wall switch. He responded to our call quickly, arrived punctually, offered recommendations and advice, went right to work and completed everything quickly. Best of all, his price was significantly lower that I expected. Will call again! Highly recommended.

The troubleshooting was precise and accurate. He made the repairs quickly and in the time and for the amount of money he quoted. I will recommend him to anyone for repair on a large appliance. + -1 moreVery responsive. When I called, Mitch scheduled an appointment for the next day. He gave a time range of one hour (i.e. between 10 and 11) and met that time. On a previous call, he also was there at the appointed time.On my first phone call, he informed me that he has a service charge of $59 that is separate from time and parts pricing. There were no hidden charges. When he repaired my washing machine, the pump needed to be replaced, so he needed to get the part and come back another day. When he came to fix my dryer (the two appliances malfunctioned at separate times) he had a replacement part in his van and was in and out in less than an hour. I found his work to be fairly priced and of excellent quality.
Description of Work: Repaired dryer. Had repaired washer the previous week.

He explained on the first call about his service charge and after determining the problem gave me a good estimate. He is very reliable.

+ -1 moreMy dishwasher backed up due to knockout plug still remaining in new garbage disposal. Mitch was honest in telling me this...did not charge me anything. He repaired my complicated Kitchenaid oven. Next came out to access my elderly Mom's dryer and got it working. Mom has wiring issues...which Mitch found and recommended appropriate action. AWESOME person and knows his stuff!!
Description of Work: Awesome person! Repaired my stove...dishwasher .....my elderly Mother's dryer. In four visits...always on time and right on with pricing. Highly recommend! Will recommend and use again!!

Mr. Chambers called back within a couple of hours and told me that there was a service charge for him to come to our house to perform a diagnostic test. He came that same day to perform a diagnostic check. He indicated that the unit needed two corrective measures, a new defrost element and a part for the ice maker. He told us that the refrigerator freezer needed to be defrosted completely before he could perform the repair. He indicated that he would return the next day at 1 PM to complete the repair. The next day at 1 PM he showed up and fixed our refrigerator. He showed us the parts he replaced, picked up and left the area clean. He left a detailed invoice with the parts and labor. Our refrigerator is workly properly and we received the service we expected.
Description of Work: Refrigerator needed a defrost unit replaced and an ice maker unit repaired.

+ -1 moreOverall I would recommend Mitch's Appliance Repair, he seemed to know his job and apparently what he did worked because I haven't had any problems.
Description of Work: Needed a part ordered, refrigerator has been working fine defrosted it and Mitch reset something never did need new part. My only complaint is I have tried to call him back, but I could not get in touch with him. Very happy with the service I received especially because I didn't end up having to replace anything!

+ -1 moreMitch arrived exactly when he said he would come, checked the problem, agreed that the lock was not working. He called for a replacement part, gave me the price of the part and then figured the totalm estimate. He gave me a time he'd return, went to get the part, and came back when he said he would. The replacement was fairly quick even with Mitch having to remove the top of the washer and get to the switch which wasn't in the most convenient place. After he was finished, he explained the warranty and departed. Didn't m ake or leave a mess and was very professional in everything he did and said.
Description of Work: The lock on our front-load washer was in the locked position preventing the door from being closed...thus, the machine wouldn't work. I called Mitch, described the problem, and asked if there was something I could reset to get the lock to open. He described a tab below the lock that might reset the lock but siad it was inside and sort of hard to get. At that point I asked when he could come repair the problem.

Description of Work: Quickly and perfectly repaired my oven fan. It sounded like an outboard motor until Mitch fixed it. It is a Kenmore built in microwave/oven combo and Mitch had no problems accessing the fan and putting it back into place and tightening.

+ -1 moreMy refrigerator quit working and with five folks in the house I needed to get it repaired quick. I looked on Angies list and found Mitch. He came out the very next day. He did get stuck on another call but he was considerate enough to call me and ask if it was ok to be late or reschedule. It was fine. He quickly diagnosed the issue, we had to let the refrigerator completely defrost so he came back the next day and fixed it. It is running great. I'm so happy that I just found my new appliance repair guy!

He did a thorough job of isolating each problem and determine the most cost effective way to fix each. He ordered the parts he needed for e oven, and although he didn't determine e price, apologized when they seemed expensive. Wen the parts came in, he called and came back to replace them immediately. He was truly a pleasure to work with! I'd hire him again in a second. I am renting my house out, and will be sure to call him if my renters have any problems in the future.

+ -1 moreScheduled appointment time was between 3-4pm. Contractor showed up alittle after 3 pm on 2-27-2012. Even though he was unfamiliar with my appliance, he figured out how to get at the thermostat and started the replacement. It took him approximately 30 minutes to complete. I asked if there was any warranty on his work and he said no since he did not supply the part. The part supplied was new and in the original box from the manufacturer.
Description of Work: Installed a oven thermostat in a kenmore electric range. Mitch supplied the labor only as I had the new part needed. Based on this he stated that there was NO WARRANTY.

Finally, it quit completely. We went to Angie's List and called Mitch's Appliance Repair. Mr.Chambers came within the time frame agreed upon. He said it could be repaired, but didn't recommend doing that considering the appliance's age. Six months down the road, it might call for something else to be fixed. We felt the same way about more repairs. We bought a new dishwasher. Mr. Chambers picked up the new dishwasher from the store and installed it for us in a very timely manner. He also took care disposing of the old dishwasher. The total charges were for two service calls: one being the installation of the new dishwasher. He came on Friday afternoon and worked on the old dishwasher and again Tuesday afternoon to do the installation.We were very pleased with his work. He was punctual, knowledgable, courteous, and respectful. He is a very nice young man. We will call Mr. Chambers when we need sevice again and most certainly recommend him when the opportunity arises.
