Excellent product.. a little pricy.. but great item!!

They were on time for the estimate and discussion of what I wanted. I actually planned on buying more but Julie convinced me i didn't need all that I asked her about. It was very nice of her to be so honest. Then the installer came out a few days later to measure exactly before the order went in. There was a small glitch in that it was the first time they had put in the type spice cabinet I ordered and it didn't slide as it should because the runners were too short. So, Bob went up to the Rockler Store about 2 miles away and bought longer slides at his expense and finished the job. I told him it could wait till Monday since he came to do the install on a Saturday but he was determined to get the job done. Couldn't have been nicer. Everything turned out so good that I had Julie come back and ordered two sliding drawers for the kitchen under my cook top. These are a crazy shape because they wrap around the down draft on my cook top. ShelfGenie has no problem with that. Their products are beautifully made with all wood and beautiful finishes. They are very sturdy. They were able to put in a spice rack in a very unusual spot that no one else has ever thought to do. And the Lazy Susan is the most amazing, space saving and easy to reach accessory I've ever seen. It has three levels but the bottom two are drawers and then there are what she called wings on two sides for taller items. This is a big corner that had two shelves and a lot of storage space but with my bad knees it was awful trying to crawl into the corner to get things. The lazy susan solved all that and I have even more storage than before and it's more accessible. I can turn it and then pull the drawers out and never have to get on the floor to reach things. ShelfGenie can solve all your storage problems. Get their catalogue, you'll be amazed.

The planning and installation of the cabinets went great. You are able to see on a computer design what the shelves would look like. Julie the Design Consultant was great and the installer was amazing. I did pay $200 for a $500. coupon but even with the higher cost of the shelves they are well worth it. I am so glad I did it.

I bought a "deal" through Angie's list. Julie came out to measure and make recommendations. Sadly, the deal was only enough to do one cabinet. I decided to do 4 more. There was not any pressure from Julie to do so. She was so excited about helping me reorganize my kitchen cabinets. She did a great job. Bob, the installer did a great job as well. Overall I'm very happy with my new pull out shelving. It is a bit pricey, though, so don't be shocked.

They were ok. I felt they were a little overpriced. They were very courteous and prompt with measurements and installation as well.

Working with Julie and Shelf Genie was a great experience. I have a deep pantry and it was very frustrating trying see what was in the back of the pantry, especially on the lower shelves. They installed six shelves that I can now pull all the way out and I can see everything in my pantry. They were professional and took a lot of time to make sure they knew exactly what I wanted and then they delivered exactly what I ordered. Julie also called to follow up and make sure I was pleased with the shelves, which I most certainly am!

Every step of the process was impressive. They came in, listened to our needs, and offered suggestions on how to maximize storage in our kitchen cabinets and obtain easy access to back areas of cabinets. We had them install drawers in all of the bottom cabinets and improve the usability of the cabinet over the oven and microwave. They didn't try to sell us more than we needed or push us to buy the higher end line. Since all of the work is custom, the pricing is not inexpensive, for it reflects the high quality of the product and the customization. It is well worth it. We love what was done, from the first phone call through the installation and the follow up to call to ask if everything met our needs and if we were happy. And we are.

She did come out and spent about 2 hours at home Friday. The cabinets that we wanted were going to be about $600 in addition. It would have been gorgeous, but it just isn't in our cards right now. I called today and let her know we would not be moving forward.

Communication and scheduling have been great! The pricing seems very good and they showed all of the different options that I could choose from. They are doing three sections in my bathroom closet they are going to complete the installation. The job is still in progress, but they have been great!

This company is professional, efficient and no pressure. The consultant came to my home and spend about 2 hours talking with me and my husband regarding the most economical way to solve my most irritating kitchen organization and shelving problems. They listened carefully and asked good questions. Then we came to an agreement regarding solutions that would be best. The consultant admitted that their shelving was probably a little more expensive than buying your own at one of the local mega-home stores, but also pointed out that they have a lifetime warranty on their product and that they are on call to promptly take care of any problems I might have. The shelving is custom built for my kitchen shelves. I was impressed with both the product and the professionalism of Shelf Genie's representatives. I definitely would recommend them to others.

The $500 amount of service was much less than I expected. Julie didn't try to hard-sell me anything. She just informed me of the prices and unfortunately the cost was going to be more than I am prepared to pay. Julie was also very courteous while at my home.

Very professional. The shelves are sturdy and well installed.

All went well. A representative came out to look at the site and took measurements. The cabinetmaker came within 2 days and took his measurements and the cabinet was complete in a week.

Very impressed with the quality of products that Shelf Genie brings in. First we thought it was way too expensive for what we intended to do but then only after seeing it working and being used, we realize what they meant (especially how strong their shelves are) compared to any DIY or HD/Lowes products. Ony pet peeve is that they take their own sweet time. I am guessing they have their workshop in NC somewhere and so it takes roughly 14 to 21 days minimum to get it done after some one comes to you rhome and and does the measurement and then followed by installation. Overall it took about a month and a half for a small pantry area custom shelves. But it is worth the wait.

She was very nice and very professional. She showed up on time. It just wasn't clear in the Big Deal that it was only for a certain size.

Called to get estimate. It was higher than we expected so decided to get a refund.

Julie Van Leuven came to my house on July 29. We discussed my needs and she presented her solutions to my storage problems. She gave me a price for each individual cabinet unit because I told her I could not afford to have everything done based on her estimates. After discussing the prices with my husband, we decided to spend the money investing in additional cabinets for our kitchen. Julie was very professional and very knowledgeable about the product. If I decide in the future that I would like to have Shelf Genie products installed in my cabinets, I will definitely call her.

Very well. Designer, Julie, did an excellent job of listening to my needs and wants and designing a solution.

Julie came to estimate which was quick. Then Mark came promptly to measure the shelves. After 4 weeks I didn't hear anything so emailed Julie who responded when the glide outs will be installed. Mark arrived on time on a Tuesday as promised and installed the glide outs and realized that the pantry shelves were not cutout to the right size. So he said it has to be reordered. Julie said they will receive it by Thursday so it will be installed by Friday. Friday came but no information. So I emailed Julie who said Mark would install it next Tuesday. So one day job took about a week will all the stuff staying out of the shelves. Apart from that minor inconvenience everything went well. Julie called to check if everything went ok after the install. I would suggest they take the initiative to keep the customer informed rather than the customer contacting them. Mark was very professional and showed up 8am as promised and took very little time to complete once the shelves arrived.

It happened in 3 steps. 1) Julie, the franchise owner of the local Atlanta Shelf Genie came by first. She heard what I wanted done, looked at the space and gave me information on the company and products. We discussed the various different ways to make the space more usable and she took pictures and basic measurements. When we came up with a plan she sketched it out and asked which material I wanted to use. Given that it was an enclosed pantry and not on display, I went with the basic material (which is still very high quality wood and sturdily built) and she gave me the price. It's NOT cheap and if there had been no Angie's List discount it would have totaled close to $2000.00. She told me her 'installer' would contact me to arrange a time for him to come in and take all the measurements. 2) Mark, the 'installer' contacted me within 2 days and made the appointment. After looking at Julie's notes and listening to what I wanted, he suggested a complete change in what to do which would end up giving me A LOT more usable space!! No extra cost. He took very detailed measurements and even used styrofoam to ensure he had all the odd angles of space correct. He gave a more detailed explanation about the construction. All the measurements for the required pieces are sent out to the Shelf Genie builders. Once all the sections are done, they are all delivered to the installer who will then call to make arrangements to do the actually installation. 3) About a month later (I was told it would take about a month), Mark called and he came within a couple of days to do the installation. He removed the wire shelving already in place. He sealed the holes left behind. He checked each cut shelf to ensure it fit correctly. Asked if I wanted to change the arrangement of the shelves & drawers before beginning the installation and even suggested I leave more open space on the bottom, showing me that larger items (cases of cat food or soda) could fit underneath. He completed the entire installation in about 2 hours and it's wonderful! Worth every penny.

Julie was great to work with! I was just shocked that the deal I purchased didn't come close to covering my needs. She explained the quality of the products;however..... I was under the impression that my 'deal' was sufficient for my cabinet space. Sadly..... I shall continue to stack my lowly Tupperware. ;) Bottom line...She was great. Product too expensive. Big Deal.... Not such a great deal.

I was familiar with slide out kitchen shelving through some friends & family. Their homes were in exclusive, high-end communities and the slide out shelving had been part of the orginal construction. So I was pleasantly surprised when I saw an Angie's List Big Deal for slide out shelving ; Especiallly, slide out shelving that was available without having to renovate my entire kitchen! My experience with ShelfGenie Consultant, Julie was the absolute best ! Julie was so good at explaining my options and the timetable, I should expect. The timetable Julie presented, from taking measurements to the install, was timely and was exactly as Julie had said. How refreshing ! I had a few select under cabinet spaces , in my kitchen, "fitted" with the ShelfGenie slide out shelving. My ShelfGenie shelving has the look of "custom" without the "custom" pricing ! I have had awhile to enjoy the slide out shelving and better than that, some of the "seniors" in my family have really, really enjoyed and appreciated the ease and convenience of my ShelfGenie Slide Out Shelving ! I am so pleased! The ShelfGenie is an excellent product and I had a great customer service experience with ShelfGenie personnel.

I purchased a coupon through Angies list for glide out shelves. The company got back to me immediately and set up a time for their representative Julie to come out. Julie was great to work with she was prompt knew her stuff and was able to work with me to get the shelves I wanted. She was able to get me a quote and expected time delivery. Given that they are custom shelves, it took about a month but Julie was up front about the timing. Once the shelves were ready, the installer reached out to me to set up a time to come out. He arrived again very promptly, and was able to install the shelves efficiently. The service was great and I'm loving the new shelves. Thank you!
