Description of Work: I have used them for a few years, now, for several different tasks with my grounds, and have always been more than happy with their work. |They send a crew of people to do what needs to be done, so they finish up very quickly. They back up their work, and if there are any problems, they are quick to take care of them. Clearly they want a satisfied and happy customer. I do have them on an on-going basis to take care of my lawn and plants, and again am very happy with their work. They arrive when they are due, with a crew of personnel, and a couple of lawn mowers (one for the front yard, one for the back). While they are mowing the grass, others are blowing the yard (if necessary), and edging around the driveway and curb. The whole yard (about half an acre) is finished within no more than half an hour. My neighbor's privet had badly overgrown the fence between our yards, and I had Ivy Green come in and trim the privet on my side of the fence (about 100 feet long). They sent in a crew with a couple of hedge-trimmers to trim the privet, and another couple of guys to pick up the cut branches and cart them back to their truck so they could haul the trimmings away. They finished this job in very short order, though I didn't time them. I am very happy with Ivy Green, am very comfortable with using them, and would recommend them to anyone who needs lawn and yard maintenance done (in fact, I have, and the individual who used them was also very happy with them).

+ 0 moreI ask for a diagram of what his plans were. Never received this and when I got home from work what I had thought i had described was not what I received. The bed took up much more space that what I had indicated I wanted. Diagram would have prevented this from happening. My fault as well as theirs. I will say the bed looks nice and the other work also. The July heat made it hard for them to break up the Georgia red clay and I they did not put down enough pine straw so we purchased more from another lawn service for and it looked much nicer. It all worked out and the plantings are growing well.
Description of Work: Created a new bed in front of our fence by driveway and then behind fence in back yard. Laid nice river rock in two places in the back yard.

Description of Work: Sent this company an e-mail. The girl who answers the phone sent me an email back asking for my phone number. I did...She didn't call so I called her and said I needed an estimate on lawn care. She told me she would have "Him" whoever "Him" is call me. I said, "Will he be calling me today?" She said, "I don't know...If he wants to take the job he will call you." What????? Totally unprofessional. By the way, I guess he didn't want the job as I didn't get a call! The economy must not be as bad as we all think because I can't get people to even want to work!

+ -1 moreWe used Ivy Green for our chemical treatments for the past several years, but we just terminated the arrangement. We paid from $45 to $54 per service call, depending on what they were applying. When we first started with them, they were excellent. When using dry fertilizer, they would always blow it off the concrete walks and driveway afterward. A few years ago, we noticed a degradation in service. I called to let them know that I was disappointed that they were no longer blowing the fertilizer off the concrete and that my dog was getting the granules caught in her paws from just going down the driveway. This was never rectified. Additionally, the condition of our lawn continued to deteriorate. This year was the final straw. We have so much poanna in the lawn that I am not sure we have any actual Bermuda left. It is embarrassing--especially when you know that you have been paying a service for years. We have been told that the pre-emergent could not have been applied correctly (timed early enough before the weeds just took over) in the past in order for the weed to have literally taken over our yard (front and back) at this point. We now have the worst yard in the neighborhood. We have hired a new chemical treatment service, but I think it will take a long, long time to get our lawn back to even "OK" condition. This is truly disappointing. Ivy Green always showed up and billed very promptly; however, I gave them a "D" for professionalism, as they had to be able to see the awful condition of the lawn but did not contact us to say that they were aware and were going to take additional steps to try to reverse the downward spiral. This is supposed to be their specialty--shouldn't they DO SOMETHING when they see a yard in their care looks like this?

Description of Work: I used IVY GREEN LAWN SVC LLC to take care of all of my landscaping needs. They mow and edge the lawn. They blow all the clippings away. They aerate the yard in the spring when needed.
