This company was assigned through my Home Owners Warranty program AHS to fix my A/C. Chris came and and inspected my unit. He replaced my blower and then told me that my unit needs about two pounds of freon. He overcharged me $140 per pound. After taking my payment of $280, he informs me that my damper board also needs to be repaired. He claimed that he would need to call my warranty company to send out another technician to do the work. He also told me that I could not use my air until the damper system was fixed. Instead of receiving a call from another technician, my warranty company called to tell me that the damper system is not covered under warranty. I think Chris knew the damper system was not covered and he purposely chose not to tell me until after taking my payment. This is very shady business and my A/C unit is still broken. I would never chose to use this company again.

Where to start from the call was answered she started lie! First the day after the install that they caused with a tech that remove all freon and continued to run compressor till is sized and told me oh just an coincidence??? Too only having one installer and took 2 weeks in Ga heat to get new compressor. Worked well for 8 to 10 hours till I heard a loud noise coming from unit and called within 24 hours and was told someone would be out next day. finally system sized again and no AC. I called and asked why no one came out and she said her name was Reese or Neese or close to it but I didn't understand she was irate having to work on a Saturday and it showed in he attitude. I asked if this is the way she discussed with all customers and she was a total B when I asked her name to discuss with someone else my issues she told me Tiffany!! when I said thats not what you told me upfront she sneared and said oh I guess you where listening. and hung up. I am still with out AC and having to call another company. I feel I was robbed by this company that does not care for the customer!
Description of Work: was supposed to repair AC unit and a tech with 3 months service still in school removed all freon and sized the compressor and manager had to come and lied and said it was just a coincidence it happened after all freon was remove and tech continued to run compressor. Then had to wait 2 weeks for new compressor and was made to pay 600 for freon to refill system. I was told by the installer that he was the company's only installer and that is why it took two weeks to work me into his schedule! After he left aprox 6 hours late the system stared making a very load noise I called and was told they would have someone out next day. Which never happened then the system completely stopped and new compressor will not come on. I called and asked what the deal was and was greeted with a disgruntled employee who complained that she had to work Saturday! She stated her name I couldn't make out it might had been Reese or Neesey. When I asked why no one showed she came unglued and I asked for a manager and she said no one was there! I asked for her name and she said Tiffany and I said that is not the name you gave me prior she said oh I guess you might have been listening. Wow I asked if the company was hers would she act that way. She hung up

I've completed services with them in the past without any problems. I don't think they properly train their employees. Their employees have inabilities. The interactions were fine. They were successful in repairing it. They're very punctual.

The last technician that inspected my units caused my ac unit to ice up and cooling liquid to drain from my unit outside by not putting the cap back on the unit after performing maintenance. The service was done on 3/23. My heating wasn't working so he came back on 4/7 and found that he also forgot to turn my furnace back on. Not only is the company not willing to come back out to refill my cooling liquid, the customer service rep is not showing any sympathy in resolving my issue. They did finally refund my maintenance agreement but it still cost me more money to repair my unit.

We had American Home Shield at that time but we still had to pay $600 for the air conditioning. We were not happy with them at all. We found out the air conditioning was not installed correctly.

It took four separate visits for this company to complete the work. The first time, they replaced the pump and then realized that the line was clogged after I flagged them down on the street to tell them it wasn't working after ten minutes. The second time, they tried to blow out the line and were unsuccessful. The third time, they were ready to replace the line and realized they would need to cut the sheetrock in the finished basement wall in order to do so. The fourth time, they cut the wall and replaced the line. Each visit required a call from me to schedule the appointment, with long hold times. Each visit was scheduled either as an on-call visit with only a 30 minute warning or required me to wait an extra day or two beyond the initial day or two wait to schedule. They gave me no priority over any other customer, even on the third and fourth visits, for scheduling.
Description of Work: Replaced a condensate pump on A/C unit, and ran a replacement drain line from the pump to the exterior of the house.

About a month and a half into the whole deal United Air temp told us that we needed to refill out whole system with new freon at the cost of $600 to us with no guarantee it would work. At this point we had no heat for a month and we demanded another opinion from the home warranty. They agree and the 2nd company came out and within 15 minutes said, "your compressor is broken." I am not certain if United Air Temp was that inexperienced with heat pumps, just trying to get more money out of the home warranty or trying to pull the wool over my eyes, but it was the worst service I have ever had from any service company.
Description of Work: We had to use this provider because they were provided through the home warranty we had from the purchase of our home. We had already had our regular and trusted HVAC guy come out to look at our heat pump. He tried to make some repairs, but quickly realized the compressor was dead. Home warranty sent United Air Temp out and they sent an inexperienced technician to our house. He totally disagreed with my HVAC guy and said he had parts to order. It took a week to get back to us. We requested another tech to come along on the 2nd visit and the experienced tech disagreed with the first and said it was something different again. This went on for a month. Each time they would "fix" something else, but it was never the compressor.

They were the ones that told me about Freon changing. I already had to call them back again. I feel like I have been taken. I was referred to them through my home warranty. Initially he said the price was $5300 and he would take $1632 off because of the other warranty company. He never could really tell me where he got the number from. I really should not have used him but now I am kicking myself. I would tell the other members that I can’t get in touch with him if I have an issue. I had water all over the floor on Sunday. I had to call all day on Sunday. I had to call some emergency number but no one ever responded. Finally I got the person who sold me the air condition. He came out. I could tell that they are understaffed. Already he had to come back and fix what the initial guy started of doing. Now I am afraid to leave the air condition on when I leave here. If I had been gone that water would have been gone everywhere. It seems like it’s alright. I really blame myself because I really should have done better research. I should have gone with the other air conditioning company. I was so frustrated. They were on time as far as the appointment. They were punctual. In terms of responsiveness, I cannot get these people. I kept texting the manager but he wouldn’t respond. He could have at least responded. Then he did respond and told he was looking for a cheque. That was Sunday evening. Then he never called me back again. I had to get up on Monday morning and start calling him. He did finally come through and fix it. I would not use them again and I would not refer them to anybody. I really do feel like I have been beat as far as the price. He never really gave me an itemized statement even though he did give me prices on the receipt. I don’t how he came up with the initial no of $5300. I tried to call the other warranty company and ask them if I was entitled to any money. They told no because I had gone outside of contract to get it fixed. He said he already gave me credit. To me what he did was he upped the price and then pretended like he gave me a discount of $1600.

On 3/7/07, Joe, from United Air Temp, to perform requested service. It was clear early on that Joe felt that this was primarily a sales call. Joe told us our units were out dated and not as efficient as current technology would provide. We declined his sales offer and asked him to do maintenance. Joe said there was an electrical problem in one of the units, which he could diagnose for $90. After diagnosis, he said there was loose wiring. Joe found the A/C units were low on coolant. He filled them with 3 units of coolant at $39.00 per unit. In June we had occasion to use the A/C units for the first time since Joe maintained them. Both unit operated but only one provided cooling. Having lost confidence in United Air Temp, we hired another local vendor. He found the coolant input nozzles were loose on both A/C units, leaving one A/C unit empty and the other low on coolant. Joe, it appears, didn't recognize or fix the problems. Maybe Joe wanted to make another sales call.
