TruGreen Lawn Care - 922

I called True Green to inquire about starting service. I received a call from the office in florida providing me with a quote of $71 per application. The next day I received a call from a local office indicating he had a better quote for me. He then questioned me why I had wanted to change service providers. After a few of the same question, he apparently did not like my answers and said my lawn was a mess. He continued with a statement of "WHAT ARE YOU SMOKING" making a reference to some drug use. I then hung up. If this is how true green treats people who inquire about service or people who have service I am extremely happy I will not be using true green for my lawn service.

Horrible. Paid $900 for year contract. Had ivy show up for the first time in 50years. Paid $160 for special ivy treatment. Technician “accidentally” sprayed with ground up and killed lawn completely leaving 13+ LARGE completely dead spots. Calls routed through 1-800 number with promise to be contacted by Manager in 48 hours… 10 days and several additional calls until a Manager actually contacted me with a promise to come and inspect in the next 2 days. No show No call and NO WAY to contact anyone directly with this company. My 85 year old father did a better job caring for our lawn, upon his death I hired TRU GREEN and the neighbors are commenting on how bad our previously “award winning “ lawn looks since his death. DO NOT PAY IN ADVANCE and AVOID this company

Bad experience and couldn't get manager to call back. Finally canceled our service. Weed treatment was sporadic. Many areas remained untreated. Aeration consisted of 5-6 passes on front yard only. After complaining, the tech returned to aerated a third of backyard and never returned to aerate front yard. Made repeated calls to call-center and corporate office. Could not get manager call back. Finally canceled our service with TruGreen

They don't really do my trees. I had them do my trees, I'm going to have to get something done with my trees, but I don't think I'm going to use them because they too high. They fertilize the grass and treat it, things to that nature.

I bought a contract for them to do the lawn.

They also fertilize the yard and spray for weed control. I had a contract with them but I haven't renewed it yet. It's usually just one person coming to do the work and it took 30 minutes.

They're on an annual contract, they're supposed to visit every 30 days or so. It was good, I've been with them for more than seven years now. Obviously, I'm okay with them, I'm happy with them.

I think they nickel and dime. They always call the day before and say can we do this and do that and every time I say yes the bill goes up by $40. I do not like all the surprise billing. They do show up, I feel like every time I call they say to be here but they say we can do this pre-spring emergence vacuum. I thought I would have periodic service, they come every month. I was not expecting that much. I do not see much discernable difference. They are way too responsive. They show up when they say they will. I do not like the pricing and being pitched every time I pick up the phone. I do not see that I am getting my money worth. I not getting a more lush yard.

Have had the lawn services for over a year for general lawn care and weed control. It doesn't seem like they do much. I see the truck out there, but I still have weeds, and my grass isn't any healthier than when they started. They are kind of expensive for what I can see is basically nothing but water being sprayed on my lawn. I get no communication other than to sell additional services about how my lawn is doing and what we could do better with it.

Unsatisfactory results and UNTRUSTWORTHY!!!! They called and we asked them to cancel our service, but they continued to come out and charge us for services even after we had asked them to cancel our service. Once I succeeded in definitively cancelling our service, they refused to apologize or refund the services performed that we did not ask for. There are so many of these companies to choose from -- LOOK ELSEWHERE

We hired Scotts LawnService Kennesaw almost a year ago. I had asked for someone to come out before we started treatment to assure it is understood what our needs are. We had some thin lawn areas around the house that needed special treatment in my eyes. The account was set up over the phone. As I found out later...the account manager was sitting in Texas and had quoted me after looking at Google earth!! I had been told that someone had been out to see my lawn and the program would work fine. We did not have many weeds and which little one we had were treated and died fast. I was home one day and watched staff add treatment flags to the yard...get back into the truck and leave without actually treating the yard. When I called I was first told that "we" will first have to wait a two to three weeks to see if the treatment to "take"......??? Lady, your guy did not treat my yard!!! I was placed on hold and told that that someone would be in the area to treat my yard the following week. I asked for them to call so I can be there....call was never placed however flags were. Supposedly granule treatment was added to the lawn...I was unable to find granule in my lawn or at edges along drive/walkway where you would expect easy "pick'ns" of samples. I asked again to meet with someone, however it seems that appointments always to arrive when I am not home. Called them back for treatments 3 or 4 times over the year to assure it was done. My neighbor (who recommended them) tells me that he "constantly" has to call them back....and they will. Request for call backs on voice mail were ignored. The only feedback was an email stating they were sorry to see me cancel with a $10 coupon ...again...no call back. At the (almost) one year mark I have dandelion the size of frying pans in one section of the lawn. The areas needing attention to thicken...are now thinner then before. At $51 I expect reliable and trust worthy service which I did not receive. I do not want to look after my lawn service.....I have a job and expect to be able to come home and notice improvement over a year time improvement...not follow ups and verification of work not completed.

We are satisfied with them and they do a good job.

They are very good. They come on a regular schedule. We've had them for a while.

This has been a frustrating and disappointing experience. Grass looks no better than it did. They were not applying the application to all areas where they were contracted to do so. Had to call them back numerous times due to weeds continually showing up. They even came out once and treated my neighbors yard and left my bill in their mailbox.

Let me say that I have had Scott's service for over 3 years. I have had problems in the past but attributed problems to shading and lack of water. This year was terrible, the only lawn on the block with weeds. All sidewalks and walkway areas had weeds sprouting, they didn't do the entire lawn, definately missed about 20' on each side of property, but the areas that they did treat were still terrible. They were called and very slow to respond. They sent a follow up appointment and I swear they planted weeds. I sent a response via email that I was not happy, it took them over a week to respond. I told them forget it, you're fired. I do not recommend, your first year may be good, but they will prove incompetent.

RATING IS F MINUS!!!!!!! A woman just came to my home to solicit services for your company. After telling her, "No, Thank you." She made the point to tell me that weeds are taking over my yard and they could take care of it. I told her no and closed the door. I am EXTREMELY INSULTED! Maybe there is a reason the lawn does not look the best, such as being in and out of the hospital for months due to life threatening health issues with family and not having respite care and funds being limited due to healthcare, transportation, etc. What's next? Scott coming to tell me to get services to take care of my family because it's apparent that I'm not doing a good job?!! I strongly suggest that your company train their representatives to show more respect when they try to interact with potential clients. You can't possibly know how I am feeling. Though, I will make a point to inform and recommend other companies to anyone I can through business partners, friends and family, Angie's List, facebook, twitter, etc.

Avoid this lawn service. I signed up with Scotts Lawn Service, Kennesaw Ga. It was for 8 applications in 2013. Scotts applied a preemergent in late winter. Come Spring my lawn was full of poe annua. You may know that poe annua is a noxious grass in a bermuda lawn. I called this local Scotts 3 times asking for a supervisor or manager. I was told they would call back, as they were "in a meeting." They did not. A technician called me and said he would treat the poe annua. The poe annua continued to flourish until Summer when it died out and left brown patches. I thought that I was letting the service lapse at the end of 2013, and called another lawn service to do my lawn in 2014. The new service applied "Round #1." I was happy until Scotts came out and applied "Roujnd #1." I called to complain that I had not renewed for 2014. I was told by the local Scotts and the national Scotts in Ohio that I had not called to cancel. What the heck is that all about? The sad fact is that their invoice states, " For your convenience, service will continue from season to season." What? I was told that it is not Winter to Spring, Spring to Summer, etc. It means year to year. No it does not say year to year. I was imformed that season means this year, and next season next year. This is what one would explect of a politician, an attorney, or a used car salesman. Obviously I immediately cancelled Scotts Lawn Service, but they will not remove the $47 charge for the unwanted Round #1. I was told that I would get an email of the cancellation. Nope, I did not. I called the local Scotts and was told that was not their policy, so I obtained a cancellation number. Folks, I did not get good reults with my lawn, and I did not get good results from their customer service. What I got was a run arround. I do not trust them to do a good job, nor do I trust them to tell the truth. Save yourself some head ache and avoid Scotts Lawn Service, Kennesaw, Georgia.

The treatment for the lawn was on time and we have used this provider for the last year. However by looking at the bill, I could tell by the amount of chemicals they used that we were being treated based on 2700 sq feet but charged as if we had 20K sq feet. We contacted TruGreen and were contacted by a local rep. The Rep complained about having to come out on a Friday to measure, was argumentative about whether we were being overcharged or not and then set an apt for Friday. Friday came and went and no one has shown up. My advice would be to NEVER allow them to start a service unless they come out and measure while you are there. Its obvious we are being charged based on a Satalite image of our lot, which shows it to be a bit more than 20K sq feet, however most of it is wooded and not treated. Actual size to treat is 2700 sq ft. All that being said, the Customer should never be treated as if they don't know what they are talking about and it should never be too much "bother' to look into your Customers complaints.

They got rid of all bugs and I will continue to use them.

First year went pretty good. The next year the yard (especially back yard) went to weeds. I suspected I was only getting front yard treatments on front. Also, my dogs got sick from newly treated yard. No notice was given before treatment that day. Prior notice only ocured about half the time the second year. Tried several times to talk to manager(s) but neither of the two know managers called me back after I left messages with their office. Also, I had problems with billing. I had at least one treatment charged that tech did not do. I did have this resolved but after lengthy phone calls and time. Found out tech did wrong yard and billed me anyway. Service was not acceptable. Communication with managers not acceptable

They have a problem with showing up. I have more weeds than my neighbors who do not hire anyone. They keep saying they will come and then they don't show.

I have been using them. My experience with them was good! They confirmed their appointment with me ahead of time, and they showed when they said they would.

Not great. Couldn't get them to respond to my service requests.

The man came & sprayed the lawn with Turf Builder Pro Rnd 2 & trees

Lousy. I asked for them to call me before coming out each time as I have a big property. The didn't call half of the time and they had to come back on more than 1 occasion. Many parts of the property were not sprayed. The reseeding never took place properly although they left me a bill for it. They did reseed part of the property but missed 2/3's of it. Their treatments did nothing for my grass. I cancelled them. I would not recommend them
