STONECUTTERS MARBLE & GRANITE

Description of Work: This company was a sub-contractor/supplier for builder (Jim Winter). After making our granite selection for kitchen counter tops in summer '07 with John Morris as per selection of builder grade level, we then find out during closing that a bill was submitted to builder as upgrade version for the granite. The parties met at later date with John and never had any resolution from Stone Cutters. Thereafter an issue arose (6/08) from improper caulking between the granite and kitchen sink causing underneath water damage to cabinet. Workers from Stone Cutters came out after not showing for their first arranged appointment set-up by the builder to re-caulk. Before I had the workers (one limited English speaking worker) to start their repair, I had pointed out to them the sink being loose and to test around non-caulking area with faucet sprayer to detect water leaks. Confirmed water leaks. Then after making calls to John for plans to fix my damaged sink he abruptly denies anything regarding poor workmanship and says it's improper use of sink by homeowner and to call his owner, Brian Buckley. Two phone messages have been left with owner and not heard a word. Company lacks trustworthiness and quality service. Builder will not resolve the situation.
