The service was fine until it wasn’t. Damaged floors and walls. The owner asked me to send pictures and then stopped responding. After being threatened to be removed from the Angi site they contacted me saying they will repair damages. I would prefer to be reimbursed a portion of the $560 plus a tip I was charged. But that’s not an option.

I was VERY disappointed with our experience with Smith and Wes Movers. First, I was delighted because they made themselves available within 24 hours to move items from our storage to our home. However, after 7 hours, the crew of 2-3 men did not even fill half their moving truck or empty out our storage. I had expected the job to be half that time, because me and 2 family members filled the 10 x 40 unit in 2.5 hours. NO ONE from the company informed me that the job would take this long. To make matters worse, this crew dropped and damaged our piano. They promised to follow up and put in a claim, but have ghosted us since. My wife and I ended emptying out the remainder of the storage INCLUDING OUR BROKEN PIANO by ourselves! I would not recommend Smith and Wes Movers to anyone. Instead of saving time and money, I ended up having to pay for additional storage days and another moving truck because they did not finish the jog.

The best moving experience ever. The movers were professional, respectful, helpful and accommodating. The nicest three gentlemen! They handled the my move like they were members of my family!

We could not have asked for or imagined a better experience with Smith & Wes Movers! We were moving from an apartment to a house. We had The “ two Eddies and Sam”, and they were extremely professional and kind. They called that morning and showed up right on time. Their process of packing and moving items to the truck was efficient and thorough. They worked together as a very coordinated team and not one scuff or scratch moving things into the house and up the u-shaped stairs - impressive! And the team was a joy to spend the day with. We highly recommend S&W and will call them again for any future moving needs.

It all went perfect

These guys are top notch all the way. Last week, we hired Smith & Wes to move our 3000 square foot home and two cars from Seattle to Cumming. From the very beginning, David Smith was caring, thorough and comforting about this stressful move. On packing day, David Smith (owner) and his crew flew to Seattle to pack and move us. I could not believe the care they took in packing and wrapping everything in our house, including an upright piano. They left on Sunday and pulled into Cumming on Wednesday to unload. They communicated with me throughout the entire process including calling me each night to let me know how they were progressing. Nothing, and I mean nothing, was broken, scratched or lost. As I unpack the boxes, I'm impressed with the way every item was carefully wrapped. I can't recommend these guys enough!

My two movers were great! They worked efficiently and protected everything well. There was one inconvenience when leaving the first location. Their truck battery died so that delayed everything by about an hour and a half. I realize this wasn’t really on the moving company as it was a truck they had just picked up from Penske. All things considered, it was a good experience and I would use them again for sure.

On time, efficient

Smith and Wes Express Movers (“Smith and Wes”) moved me from one home to another over the course of two days, April 22, 2023 and April 30, 2023. During the first move, one of the movers broke the door off of a piece of furniture. He said he would fix it once the furniture was moved. He did not. During the second move, this same mover pulled a drawer completely out of its casing. He said he would fix that. He did not. He also told me that there was a hole in the wall of one of the bedrooms. At the time, I believed him. But after seeing all the damage to my furniture, I believe he put the hole in the wall, especially given that my home had been freshly painted prior to the move. I had a desk that one of the movers disassembled in order to move it. He had trouble disassembling it, and took 2 hours in an attempt to reassemble it. However, he could not properly reassemble it and drilled holes all over the desk and it is still not solidly assembled. They broke my entertainment center, but did not tell me. I did not see the damage until days later. They broke the foot on another piece of furniture. As soon as I saw all the damage to my furniture, I contacted Nadia (912-674-0168) with Smith and Wes on May 13, 2023. I sent her the pictures of the damage and told her I needed to file a claim with their insurance company. She told me she would get back with me. She never did. I called her again on May 17, 2023, and got no answer. On May 17, 2023, I loaded the pictures onto the Angi site through the communications tool. That chain of messages is now unavailable to me. On May 18, I called another Smith and Wes number, Richie at 404-955-3332. Again, I was told Nadia would follow back up with me. She never did. Neither did Richie. Neither did anyone at this company. I have shown them the damage. I have asked for the insurance information to file a claim. I signed two contracts with them wherein they stated that I was fully insured if anything was damaged. Now they do not want to honor the contract nor provide their insurance information.

They were careful, quick, and extremely reasonably priced. I was kept in the loop through the whole move from start to finish. These guys treated our stuff like it was their own and had amazing attitudes. Wish I could find this kind of service everywhere!

Movers were fine. Got items from point A to point B. Some integral pieces to furniture and lamps were “lost” by moving team during the move resulting in me have to ultimately dispose of those items since replacements could not be acquired.

I had to hire new movers at the last minute.

The 4 guys were pleasant but I left my house for a few minutes and came back and noticed that one of them had turned my HVAC all the way down to 66. I felt this was disrespectful but I did not confront them since they would not have admitted to it. The company also only sent one 26 ft truck when we had agreed to two trucks and as a result, they had to make two trips to get my belongings into self-storage. Although they did not charge me for the 2nd trip, they should have told me ahead of time that they decided to send only one truck (bad communication). The lift on the truck also did not drop all the way down so that meant it took more time and effort for them to complete the move. Some of the guys also left their empty water bottles inside my storage which I also felt was unprofessional. The way they packed my belonging into the self-storage was not the best also as I came back a few days later with a friend to retrieve some things and we noticed large gaps at the top of the storage which they could have been utilized better. We also found heavy boxes stacked on light ones and that caused the stack of boxes to tilt over so we had to repack some of those boxes. Overall, although the guys were pleasant, I would prefer to use another company next time.

It went well I always use them. They are always available and they took good care of me. I had a piano moved. I use them for my business and personally. I donated the piano to a school and the school used it for other things as well.

It was great, very particular and did a really good job.
