The experience was good, and the people were on time. The service went fine.

Hot water heater went out on a Sunday afternoon. I called three different "24-hour" plumbers and Roto Rooter was the fastest to respond and did exactly what they said they would do. Mike McNamara was the plumber and he was professional, efficient and got the job completed in a timely manner. I would use them again.

My husband and I wanted to attempt an easy (or so we thought) DIY job in the kitchen. Changing out the sprayer, because we thought it was malfunctioning. We attempted several different times and finally gave up around 2 hours later only to have the sink now leaking badly underneath. I call Roto-Rooter and from the moment someone picked up, it was a great experience. The representative that set up my appointment (Same day, a SUNDAY, nonetheless) was courteous, professional, and helpful to our situation. She mentioned a Mike McNamara, #3310, would be out to assist us within the next 3 hours. She called me back to let me know 30 minutes prior to his arrival and he was right on time. Upon arrival, he, too, was also very courteous and respectful. He was professional and able to fix the problem that we created trying to be plumbers. :) It's tough to find someone that you can trust; Mike's the man! Thanks, Mike, for all your assistance with our DIY project gone bad. Will be using RR for all our plumbing needs in the future, but will always request Mike. They ripped me off for about $3500 when I was out of town and they ripped my wife also for about $3500. They put in chemicals and pressurized and doing bunch of other crap that did not need to be done and did not do anything to fix the problem. They made a sound like that this could fix the problem. A month later, I had the same problem again. I will never use them again.

Installed new water heater at an "ok" price. Ok because of course it was on a Sunday, so labor cost was high. Serviceman was very nice and knowledgeable.

II had a problem with one of my toilets that would not flush properly, or at all. I called that morning and requested service that afternoon. Mike McNamara (#3310) arrived on time and was extremely professional. He analyzed the problem, compared the failing toilet with another toilet in my home, and used an auger to help clear the line. He continued to work through the problem and made absolutely sure that the problem was resolved. Mike was extremely professional, personable, and diligent in working the problem. It went great. Kostadin Bogdanov was very professional and even worked in the rain. Drains were cleaned as he had me view camera to confirm.

Mike McNamara did a fabulous job. He is efficient, personable and clearly knowledgeable. He will definitely be my go-to plumber from here on out. All of this was done on a Sunday afternoon, so I didn't have to miss time from work.

The tech came in and using the appropriate tools, cleared the drain inspected the water connection and toilet function and was finished in less than a half hour.

They were punctual but they were not professional and did poor quality work.

My experience with Roto Rooter was very positive. They installed the water heater and everything went well, but we started experiencing a very light gas leak where they had installed the heater. Within half an hour they were back. They came and fixed the valve which was not tight enough. It was a very positive experience and they did a good job overall besides the loose valve, which caused the minor gas leak, but wasn’t anything to be alarmed over. They are highly professional and they responded quickly. Roto Rooter did a very good job installing the new water heater, and I think it was a very good value for what they did. We did do some research and they were fairly priced. I would use them again in the future.

I called on a Wednesday for someone to come out to give me a quote on replacing my main water line. I told the operator I had flooding and wanted to get the job completed ASAP. She informed me that someone would call me within a few hours to schedule an appointment for the same day. After a few hours, I called back. A technician informed me that someone would call me the following morning between 8am and 10am to schedule a time to come out. They had both my mobile and home number. I never received a call back.

They cleared a shower drain that had given us trouble for months.

I would recommend them very highly. They did excellent work. In the past I've had family that used them even though I know there are each individual franchises and stuff. It's a name you could trust. I have a pump system down in the basement and so my daughter's pump broke and he came out and was fixing it and he says, "You've got another problem. Let me show you something." It was a broke line. Now, we've been in the house for 21 years and it's a house that was built in 87. He shared me the price and he said, "You're not going to have anybody beat this." I went around and talked to people and it was almost twice what they were going to charge me. They were real professionals and I was very pleased with their work. It cost me right at $8000 total between the replacing the pump in my daughter's bathroom and then replacing the sewer line that broke in my front yard. The pipes go all the way to the streets. It was major, major work. The pipe goes underneath your driveway and goes all the way. My wife had set fire to some leaves and didn't know it was there. So they ended up having to replace the whole line. The material now is totally different than when it was originally put in. They used a PVC pipe but inside of it was a new shielding that they put in and ran it all the way to the street. They did an outstanding job! As a matter of fact he fixed something for free upstairs for me too. They really cleaned up. So it was amazing. I was very happy and pleased with them overall! They started the job early in the morning and it was like 8:30 at night before they were done.

I experienced a clog toilet in my master bath. After unsuccessful attempts to fix it myself, I called Roto-Rooter on Sunday, 9/1/2013. I was able to get someone out to my home the very next day and they do not charge extra for weekends and holidays. James was at my home by 10am which was the scheduled appointment time. He was not able to resolve the issue with his auger, so he ended up having to remove the commode. We found a rag was lodged inside the toilet. He cleared it out and re-installed the commode. I have to admit - this was a messy job but he was very professional, courteous and provided me details of everything he was doing. The job was done in a reasonable amount of time and he cleaned up when he was finished.

We called Roto Rooter at 9:30 at night because both of our toilets were clogged. The service man arrived about 40 minutes later and spent almost two hours unclogging the drains. He was prompt, professional and determined to get the job done no matter how long it took. We were very grateful to say the least. The price charged was equal to other similar services we have had. The difference is that this call actually fixed the problem.

They also had to do some extensive work because the faucet and the shower was broken as the builder had not installed it correctly. It was a pretty extensive work. They even had to replace the shower head. They had to cut a hole in the wall and they did it from the laundry room. It was done very professionally. You cannot tell they replaced it with a box. It looks appropriate and nice. When he was done with the work, he cleaned up after himself. He left the area clean just as he found it. It did not take him very long to do the job. For the amount of work that had to be done, it was not expensive at all. I had called for several quotes from other companies and they were all more expensive than this company.

The price was more than I wanted to pay but they got the job done. The quality of the service was good. They were punctual and got there when they were supposed to. I would shop for a closer competitor in the future.

Helpless against circumstances one Sunday, I had to ask Roto-Rooter to replace a leaking toilet valve in the master bath. The customer service on the phone was responsive and said that they do not charge extra to work on Sundays. The representative showed up on time, assessed the issue and then quoted me an exorbitant price of $260 ($300 - $40 coupon) just to replace the valve and the parts were charged extra at more than double the prices at a nearby Home Depot. My heart sank, but helpless on a Sunday I had to say yes. The leaking valve got fixed but at the end of the day I felt like being robbed in the middle of the day. My advice, seek their help only as the last resort!!

Everything was fine and worked out just beautifully, I just thought the price was too high for putting in a new faucet. The technician was very professional, punctual, and accommodating. I would use them again in the future if I had to.
