Description of Work: They basically helped us out with our POD and they assisted us with our moving inquiries, on short notice they had staff here to help us move into our three bedroom house, they were very nice and quick, probably one of the BEST moving experiences. They were a life saver! And their coordinator was very helpful as well. They unloaded the POD and help move items into the garage and what not. I paid them a little extra for how easy they were to work with and that they worked quick!

+ -1 moreI found an Angie's List deal for $150 for the services I required, though after discussing my needs with RMC, we discovered that the deal was not applicable for what I needed. Instead of canceling the deal, RMC worked with me and slightly increased the cost to accommodate what they viewed as an increase in manpower required to accommodate my needs. The movers were friendly, efficient and careful with some heavy pieces of furniture. I appreciated the experience, particularly because it was a short notice hire and required some additional effort from a customer service perspective from RMC. I would recommend them to anyone, though I can't speak to the experience of moving an entire house. All things considered, I will strongly consider using them in the future.
Description of Work: I had furniture that required moving from a house in the suburbs to a house in the city, roughly 25 miles between the two places.

Description of Work: RMC Movers moved our 4 bedroom house to another house less than 50 miles away. They made a site visit before hand to size up our belongings. They showed up when expected, worked hard, efficiently and were all a pleasure to deal with. Everything was shrink wrapped and there was no damage to the houses or our belongings. The final cost was higher than the estimate, which was based on the hours it was expected to do the job. It was explained to us before contracting with them that that was a possibility. We definitely feel like we got our moneys worth.

+ -1 moreAll I can say is these guys are amazing! They showed up right on time and ready to work as soon as they came into the house as in carrying moving blankets in with them! They are very professional polite and take very good care of your things! I can say after moving from Florida to Georgia last year with a national moving company I will use these guys again. We did have most of our boxes already moved and washer and dryer ready to be carried down to their truck and beds disassembled which saved a lot of time. But if your looking for honest hard working guys choose RMC!!

+ -1 moreFound them on Angie's list. Called and talked to them on the phone nothing but professional through the whole conversation. They go room by room asking what you have to be moved very honest with what you will need in size of a truck and how big of a crew he is going to send out. We chose them for our upcoming move at the end of the month and very much look forward to working with them!

Please grade their RESPONSIVENESS (i.e. promptness in returning phone calls): Owner would never return my husbands calls after he threatened me. Please grade their PUNCTUALITY: late. Please grade their PROFESSIONALISM (i.e. cleanliness and courtesy): had to break up a fight in my driveway with F words flying everywhere in front of my daughter/ Owner threaten me. Description of Work: On the 23rd they came to pack the downstairs. by this time I had already packed 80 percent of our home. they just had to break down a bedroom wrap furniture pack pictures , 4/28 they came to pack the office , which was mostly packed took them way to long, then they came to house to pack upper 2 levels. The kitchen and decor items , closets were the only thing that needed to be packed. I packed my own closet after they built the wardrobe boxes. they were an 1/12 late arriving to first location , so by the time they got to the house it was 12:00 and I had not eaten. I went to run out and the owner who was there just to check up on everyone , followed me out front and told me to pick up lunch for his crew! No problem, I came back and they were still so slow. The owner approached me saying how this was a big job, I told him that since you gave me the estimate I packed up another 40% of the house. He started calling me out saying Christians dont talk like that , I told him not to talk to me like that and he started yelling at me telling me not to mess with him because "he was a bad man!" said it three times walked out and slammed my front glass doors. His crew which included his mom walked out of the house and came back in after he left and appologized to me and said this was not the first time. Not much i could do since they already had my office loaded on a truck and I was moving to florida the next day. I told them I did not want him back in my home again, he scared me. He quoted me two trucks since we had two locations. But on the day of the move he called to say they needed to rent a third truck and I had to pay for it. not much we could do here either!!! OUr house was sold and closing the next day. It did not even fit into 3, I had to leave stuff. (how could he be so off in his estimate. The loaders did a good job , but there was so much damage from cramming everything on the truck, my daughter chest damaged, game table damaged, clothes missing , chairs ripped. Horrible”

+ -1 moreThe company performed services well and for a reasonable fee. The deal was not honored due to a misunderstanding by the vendor regarding the timeline for my service. I was able to work out a reasonable deal that did not include use of the deal and the service was performed to expectation. I would advise in the future for Angie's List to confirm with the vendor that ALL fine print terms are to documented to avoid such issues. Overall, RMC Movers did a good job and the experience represents a minor inconvenience.

+ -1 moreWe have one of those huge, immensely heavy treadmills that we needed to have moved from our home to our office. The other movers I had hired fell through; so, at the last minute, I contacted RMC. They were not only professional to deal with over the phone, but they arrived five minutes early, removed the treadmill without the least bit of trouble, and had it installed and running in our office less than an hour later. (It runs perfectly in its new location; no problems at all.) Both of the gentlemen from RMC were professional, courteous, and a delight with whom to deal. I had thought getting this monstrosity moved would be another moving nightmare; instead, it couldn't have been easier or more pleasant. I will definitely be using them again.

One of our neighbors even commented that my husband and I looked like we were having way too much fun for moving day. The guys were a little late due to delays at the previous site that were out of their control, but Carol (office manager) and Lamar (owner) were great at calling to update us on the delays. We hope not to move for a long time, but if/when we do, we will definitely use RMC, and hopefully he same team!
