Please read this review. I am hoping it saves someone from the stress-inducing scenario I'm in. I learned of Panda Cabinet & Granite through a general contractor and some colleagues as I planned my renovation. They did warn me that I'd have to really stay on the service reps because they are so busy but that it would all work out and the prices were worth it. After meeting with Kenny Wong we drew up the initial plan, had the space formally measured and had another meeting to produce a rendering with the specs of my appliances. We did hit a wall with the countertop installation because of the layout of my kitchen and once that was figured out Kenny had to check with the fabricator to make sure they could do the design... It was that Wednesday 5/9 when the wheels started to fall off. On 5/10 I checked back in the afternoon - still nothing. After several ignored calls Kenny wrote back that he would have everything for me the following morning. On 5/11 I called at 9, 11 and 12. At 1 I sent a text message sharing my concern over the lack of communication to which Kenny responded that they would not be able to cut the drainage lines (runnels) into the countertop – in the next message from Kenny he said he was checking with one more guy to see if it could be done. Confusing but okay, I was hopeful that they would find a way. I checked back in at 4, called at 5 and gave up on having any resolution that weekend. On 5/14 I asked for an update only to find out that Kenny was out of town for a family emergency. Family comes first – while I would have appreciated any kind of notice prior I let this slide too. On the bright side Kenny said all the cabinets were in and would be ready for installation on Thursday, 5/17. I asked Kenny to call me to discuss what the fabricator said but that text was ignored and SURPRISE no call. On 5/15 at noon Kenny once again said the cabinets were ready for Thursday. My questions on the countertop were still unanswered but excited to get the ball rolling I went with it! I sent a text asking for the time that the cabinet installers would arrive and if there was any update on the counters... no response so I called that afternoon… Ignored. On 5/15 I expressed my concern with communication again and Kenny responded “Sorry Boss I will get everything detail and itemized… Tomorrow by 8:30 am” I said great and sent a list of the 6 items we needed to resolve so there wasn’t any confusion. 5/16 at 9:30 I asked if there was someone else I could work with, Kenny responded two hours later asking if we could meet. After Kenny found out that I was about to stop working with them because I was tired of being given the run-around he apologized profusely, cited his workload and the scheduling of the company. He spoke of the company’s 40 locations, 14 years of service and commitment to providing an excellent experience and after looking at starting over with another company I decided to push through and get it done… I’ve made better choices after downing half a handle of vodka on an empty stomach. 5/17 – we met to go over the appliance information and countertop thickness (info that I sent the week before but whatever) and Kenny told me the cabinets would be installed on Saturday – awesome! I wanted to make sure I didn’t call delays so I made a Gannt chart in excel and inserted all the dates of installations to keep track. Kenny and I went over the install sequencing and scheduling in detail at least twice because I have to make arrangements for my dog, work schedule etc. I also asked for the dimensions of the kitchen so my contractor to move outlets/ventilation as needed. I was still asking for these dimensions when my contractor arrived at 3pm on Friday… We figured it out with standard measurements and I scheduled my contractor to come back in the morning to move what he needed to move. We set a loose time because I still hadn’t been told when the cabinet installers would arrive. After more ignored calls I finally got a text back from Kenny saying that the cabinet install was on Tuesday, not Saturday… ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I forwarded the texts where Kenny told me the install was on 5/19 as well as a screen shot of the Gannt chart/schedule. Since the entire schedule was based off of the Saturday install it was easy to prove that Kenny indeed tried to change days and act like I was mistaken. The best part – when Kenny got all of this information he said that he couldn’t take good care of me and quits. As you can imagine I was floored and that’s when I decided other people should be warned. I have wasted time, energy, money and have a set of Viking Appliances being delivered on Tuesday to a kitchen shell. I urge you to make sure this is your only option before you start a project with Panda Cabinet and Granite. The problems stem from the top down – in 2018 everything is still paper based. The work space is unorganized and the company calendar is literally a promotional product that barely has enough room to write “Dentist Appointment” in the box corresponding to the date, let alone a fluid and complicated installation schedule for 7 salespeople. I regret ever setting foot in this showroom and hope this review is helpful in selecting a cabinet and counter vendor for your next renovation.

I am so very disappointed with Panda and the management. I would strongly recommend NOT using them. I had so hoped to use them in a rental house we have as well but I will never use them again. I only wish I could post pictures on here to back up the poor job that they did with the granite countertops. Where they put the seam is fine however they used two different edges so they don't match up and it looks ridiculous. Then they chipped it in two places. When they sent a guy out to look at it and try to convince me that this was standard practice he put lacquer thinner on it and made it turn gray in a spot (it was black). He also horribly scratched the top when he was trying to remove the machine marks. It is about 8 inches long and 1-2 inches wide. It looks horrible. Their solution, come in remove the entire countertop and let someone else put in one. Based on the destruction that they caused with the removal of my original countertop I can't imagine what damage they would cause to my backsplash and floors again or that is exactly what I would do. The island was suppose to have rounded corners since we have a daughter with autism and they are very pointed. Nothing about this job was good starting with the crew sent to demo and install it. The lead guy was upset he was there, called his boss in front of me and was complaining about how hard the job was and how long it would take them. I have done my research and found a fabricators forum to where I posted pictures and asked for recommendations to fix the issue. Everyone of them said that is was done completely wrong and that only a very experienced person should even attempt to fix it. It was just a horrible overall experience. Pay more, go somewhere else.

Description of Work: I called Panda Kitchen for a in-home measurement & quote to install wood flooring. The person who picked up the phone was extremely rude, unprofessional and doesn't know the meaning of courtesy or customer service. | |While their website advertises a free estimate and quote, the employees seem to be either ignorant about this offer or don't care about it when you contact them.

I have to say, Panda Kitchens was not initially my first choice. I had 3 separate measurements and quotes with and quot;cabinet companiesand quot; and they all came back with a price and never broke anything down like I asked. Every quote was completely the same with each company; 23 linear feet of kitchen cabinets in antique white including granite countertops and installation. All the associates that came to my house where very nice and professional but they all got back with me over 2 weeks later and the pricing was higher than my budget... (10K).. The initially quotes did not include hardware or any extras (self-closing doors and drawers, hardware, or pull-out drawers). When I went to Panda at meet Jimmy. He took my design (not a copy of a quote from another company), in which I had sketched on a piece of paper and he put it in his design system and printed out a copy in 10 minutes. He broke down the additional features we spoke about. Not only was he precise and detailed but really acted like he wanted my business. I ended up with 25 linear feet (2 more feet) I had planned with a better design and a lot of extras below my budget. I have had these installed for 5 months and they look and operate great. The installation (contractors) where timely and professional too, none of that and quot;we can't do thatand quot; bs that we here from time to time. Overall my experience was outstanding and I would highly recommend Panda Kitchens and Bath to anyone looking for cabinetry for their kitchen. Yes, it is not the highest grade wood or USA made but it looks AMAZING and is backed up by a lifetime guarantee. ,
Description of Work: Panda Kitchens did an outstanding job with the design, construction, and cost with my kitchen remodel. I purchased a foreclosure and wanted to stay within a reasonable budget while purchasing all cabinets, granite, and everything I needed in for the remodel. I initially heard of this place from a co-worker and stopped in one day. I was met immediately by Jimmy (sales associate and designer).. Jimmy's customer service was outstanding. I had the necessary measurements needed for the kitchen and a short-hand design I did myself. Not only did Jimmy like my design but may great suggestions which made my kitchen pop. He informed me of the cabinetry made in China ( in which I assumed with most of the workers being Chinese). He asked many questions to qualify me tor what I was looking for. He then showed me full slabs of granite that they cut to specifications, included a double base sink, included hardware, and upgrade options with self-closing hinges, pull-out pantry doors. Jimmy did exactly what I was looking for.

They were excellent to work with, bent over backwards to have everything correct I have since determined the reason the service from their Woodstock Outlet was because of the store manager and workman at that specific location. I am planning to have my kitchen cabinets replaced and went over to the Panda location in Norcross. I waited about 20 minutes before anyone in the store even asked if they could help me or why I was in the Panda Outlet. When they did finally ask and I explained about replacing the kitchen cabinets, we set an appointment time for them to come to my home and measure. They came and measured, were on time for the appointment and seemed very knowledgeable. I fully explained what I was expecting with the remodel. About a week later I received their design via email and the only thing they had done was to use the exact same cabinets, except change the finish to a darker color. No redesign or enhancements to my current cabinets. I called and explained my disappointment. They made no attempt to understand or provide discussion on redesign. I never received another call from them or any interest in working with me. I determined that due to the lack of communication and poor customer service they would be very difficult to work with and I may not have an end product that I would be satisfied with. I would not use them or recommend them unless they hire some designers and staff who know how to deal with the customer.

I was very happy when they first finished the job. The price was almost 1/3 of a couple of other quotes. They had the same quality and products. They only problem is that the installation wasn't as good. They left a few things unfinished but nothing major by any means. I would still use them again. They have all of the kitchens premade from China so there are not a lot of options but the price is tremendous. One company quoted $45,000 and I paid $11,000 for the exact same quality of products.
Description of Work: They redid my kitchen.
