Overgrown Backyards. Kudzu Removal. Lot Clearing.

Frank gave us a 4 hour heads up as to when they would arrive. He and his crew were respectful of original landscape, they worked fast, and cleaned up after themselves. We have absolutely no complaints, will most certainly use them again, and would highly recommend them.

Was very impressed with the work Frank and his team performed. We had overgrown ivy and our back yard had became a small jungle. They were able to deal with some of the poison ivy mixed in as well. What is differentiated in my mind as a consumer is that he was the only contractor I could find who specialized in ivy removal. Not an easy application. Plus he had years of experience dealing with ivy. His costs were very reasonable and hauled away all of the yard waste. I was amazed at how they knocked the work out in a short period of time (even with a bit of rain). Would have taken me quite a few weekends to do it myself and was relieved to get the work done. They showed up on time and went above and beyond. Not something you find often in Atlanta with yard service providers. A job well done.

My backyard looked like a jungle and I was ready to have a more maintenance free type of area. I called Overgrown Backyards and obtained an estimate within 48 hours. Frank even made some suggestions that I had not even thought of and then broke down the estimate for my backyard and my front yard separately as I asked. Once I contacted him (within 24 hours) that I was going to use his services to do my backyard at this time he was able to schedule me the following week. I asked Frank for a written list of all that he and his men would be doing to ensure that I had a clear understanding of all the work. He contacted me prior to the start date to confirm the start time which unfortunately I had to tell him I would not be home at that time due to a prior commitment. He immediately asked if he could come earlier that morning to walk through everything which I felt was very business friendly and accommodating. On the day he was to arrive, he called early in the morning to let me know that he had an unexpected delay but would be arriving later. I explained that I had two commitments that I could not change and he immediately said that he would go ahead and come with his men to complete the walk through and then would take care of his other issue. He arrived within the timeframe we had originally set, walked through everything with me and provided me with a written list. My list included: cutting back a number of large shrubs and bushes, trimming some low hanging tree branches, getting rid of all the ivy and the other invasive vine that had taken over in three major areas, pulling ivy off of the fence, pulling ivy off of the trees, shaping up some low shrubs near the deck, trimming all the monkey grass, raking and hauling away all debris, getting up all the leaves that had piled up under the deck, spraying Round Up for Brush where they had cut back all invasive vines, sprinkling Preen and then laying pine straw over all the cleaned areas, and hauling off old wood planks and timbers. When they were working in one particular area I asked if they could save the hostas and some canna lilies that were coming up and not one stem was broken which truly impressed me! They even put down some pine straw in my two flower beds. Frank even took off some rusty old tomato wire stakes for me and old broken pieces of equipment that were stacked in my garage. The men then blew off everything in the back and then the driveway. My backyard is BEAUTIFUL and will be virtually maintenance free. I can not say enough accolades for Overgrown Backyards and absolutely recommend the company for your yard cleanup. I even received a follow up phone call from Frank to ensure that I was pleased with their work! I promise you that you will not be disappointed in the professional quality that he provides and the results! .

Unprofessional. Rude. 5/13/15 Update - Frank left a voicemail and apologized for not showing up after I wrote the review. He said the traffic was the reason he couldn't make it. He texted me 3 times after that offering his services. This week, he texted me that he stopped by the property and left a card. I don't live in this property. My tenant does. I had told him it was a rental property. He should not bother my tenants. Looking at other reviews, this company had used the "you are confusing us with someone else" excuse before. I have records. This is the 4th time I have had Frank and his crew to my home. This was another big job I needed. As with the other times the job, work, the team were extremely professional and VERY hard workers. Frank and his crew always go beyond the call of duty, following my wish list and still going beyond that to complete the job. They are the hardest working crew and the best crew I have ever had to preform yard work at my home. I have them for both my Spring spruce up and my Fall clean up. I am over joyed with their work when they are done. You will not be disappointed and very glad you chose this company. I will give a personal recommendation to any one who might be hesitate. Frank came out and gave a free estimate and we set a date for 2 weeks later. He and a crew of 2 men arrived in the morning. We did a quick follow-up walk-through and then they got to work. They worked for 6 hours with a short break for lunch and finished the job in a day. Hauled about 3/4 of a trailer full of clippings and limbs. Took ivy and privet down to dirt in designated areas, removed a large rotted stump, hand weeded a messy flower bed, removed wilted azaleas, etc. Pine straw top dressing in front, then blew everything off. Preserved the plants that I wanted to keep that were buried in brush. I recommend tagging anything large or important that you want preserved or untouched before the crew arrives. The yard is much more orderly and airy. Did a much better job than the last crew we had out 2 years ago. Very pleased.

Frank had the best response time amongst the people we contacted for this project. He came out to give an estimate within a week and was able to start work just a few short days after. Frank and 2 members of his crew arrived promptly when they said they would and ran through the job with me prior to starting. The 2 guys got to work and completed all of the job within about 4 hours start to finish. I had previously attempted to pull up the overgrown ivy and for what took me 2 days of hard, manual labor-with little progress, they guys managed to complete in hours. They performed the job efficiently, but more importantly, their work was thorough. It was a night and day difference after they were done. Frank and his guys even mulched 2 additional flower beds for us. Overall, I would highly recommend Overgrown and we will be using them again in the future.

This is the 4th time I've had Frank and his crew to do work at our home. Again I was overwhelmed at the excellent and conscientious work that was performed. He ALWAYS shows up on time, and like a well oiled machine they go to work. They know where to start, who does what and before you know, your yard looks beautiful and completely perfect. Frank and his crew go beyond anything I've ever imagined. Not a leave is left in sight, not a twig left behind, just plain perfect. Honestly even other folks comment on my yard. Frank came to the house and we went over the details of what we needed done (including which plants to protect and remain) and was able to come to an estimate we agreed to. They scheduled for the following week, came on time the day we had agreed on, with Frank and 3 others on the team. They went at it, clearly used to doing this work together. I was amazed at what they accomplished in one long day - it would have taken us weeks even if we had the time to do this. They included several extras - things we had not included, but that clearly needed to be done. We were thrilled to have the yard back to being a space to use and enjoy. They had the equipment, the manpower, and the skills to complete the work. And at the price agreed to. I would definitely use them again.

They worked very hard non-stop until all was cleared and debris was carried away. Hard workers!

i have not known a crew so diligent and responsive to the task ... i would say they worked above and beyond my expectations ... my property has had a complete makeover ... the result is spectacular ... my property is a little over a half acre, and Frank and his crew cleared, pruned, trimmed etc. every stitch of the property ... back, front and two sides ... i give them an A+ + ... and yes, i plan to call them again ... p.s. i have already referred them to a friend

I hired Overgrown Backyards to clean up the side yards of brush and debris, trim trees and bushes, and remove bushes and one tree. Their work on clearing the side yards and removing the debris was very good. However, their work with tree and bush trimming was sub-par. In fact it was so bad that I stopped them from completing this portion of the work in order to minimize the damage. I will also be surprised if the trimmed trees survive. They also removed a tree in my neighbors yard without approval. When it came time to remove the tree they agreed to remove, they let the limb fall and it broke my fence. They denied their responsibility until I pointed out the limb still stuck in the fence panel! Frank pushed the fence back into place. At this point, I was told that they could not remove the tree because they were not qualified to do so. I suggested they do other work to make up for this but none was ever done. It wasn't until they left that I noticed that three fence posts were cracked off below the ground. A reply to a message I sent them said that it was my fault because they were dry rotted but that they would come "fix" them by attaching a 2 x 4 but that they would not provide any other repairs to the fence. I sent them another message with a quote for the repair of the fence and also a request for a refund for the tree. This was met with open hostility. Now they say they never agreed to remove the tree. To be fair, I did three very stupid things with this company: (1) I did not get a written estimate, (2) I paid in full even though the job had not been completed ( in my defense, it was 105 degrees that day and and it was hard to keep up with everything as they were all over the yard - this is where the written estimate would have come in handy) and (3) I trusted them to be honest and with integrity. Learn from my mistakes with this company but I will not be using them again or recommending them to others.

We called Frank out for an estimate and he came when he said he would, took notes and quoted what we thought was a fair price for the amount of work to be done. He offered to come out the next day to do the job which worked for us. He came a little later than I expected but apologized - it wasn't an issue for me. I appreciated that Frank asked me to go around the property with him so I could confirm the work to be done. Frank then told me he would be with his crew except for one errand and to pick up lunch. He introduced me to his foreman and then Frank and his crew got to work. There were three guys besides Frank and it took them about 5 hours to do the job. It was a lot of work and I was impressed with the results. He and his crew loaded up the debris into the dumpster they had brought, cleaned up and hauled everything away. I've had many negative experiences with yard professionals but I was pleased with Frank. I appreciated that he was there for the job. Often, the person that I take around the property is not the person to actually show up and I need to start all over and something doesn't get done. I have had to provide the dumpster and debris removal myself in the past! Again, not with Frank. Frank also made sure he and his crew didn't harm any plants and trees that we wanted to keep. Frank also discovered some leftover wire fencing in a corner that I had no clue was there. I was a little embarrassed but Frank took it away and just let me know afterwards. If you have serious yard work that needs to be done I highly recommend Frank and his crew!

I set an appointment for Tuesday afternoon to have Frank look over the scope of the job and I took off work to meet him. Someone else called a few hours before the appointment to say he was stuck on another project and would like to reschedule. I agreed to meet him after work on Thursday. That day it was pouring and I got stuck in traffic. I called and had my daughter meet him and go over the job. He didn't even walk around the property but he did leave his card. I have left three messages over the past week, but never even got a courtesy call back. I see someone has posted the same type of behavior. UPDATE. Frank called me on Sunday to say he had never gotten any of the messages I left on his voicemail. I understand that technical problems certainly do happen. He did make the second appointment on time and in bad weather. However, I would have thought he would have followed up with me to quote the job but he did not, hence my calls to him. He has strong reviews from many others and I strive to be fair and accurate when commenting on other's livelihood. Maybe this was just an aberration.

We agreed on a Tuesday to meet that Thursday morning so that he can look over the job and give an estimate. I took off work that morning to meet with him. At 8AM that morning he called and left a message saying that he couldn't make it because he was busy on another job. I called a couple of times to reschedule and he never returned any of the calls. Very unprofessional.

My husband and I have both been working out of town a lot, so the yard got away from us. Now we're back and the task of getting the yard in shape seemed overwhelming. We hired Overgrown Backyards to clear away a large patch of ivy that was overgrowing trees, flower beds and climbing the house. They also took out four small trees, cleared out lots of leaf litter and weeds, trimmed bushes and removed branches from trees that were hanging over the house. Frank responded quickly to my initial call and met with us the next day. The work was done the next day and a half after that. Frank and his crew of two were prompt, courteous and attentive to everything we asked and even took care of a few things complimentary that were not on the list. Our yard looks fantastic. I would hire these guys again in a heartbeat. Thank you!

.Frank and his team arrived at my home at the time we agreed on. They were organized and worked hard the entire time they were here. It was a big job and they cleared the property better than my expectations. I would definitely recommend Frank (and I have already), to anyone. I wrote a review earlier and stated I would call Overgrown Backyards and give them a second chance, I am so glad I did.

Frank was wonderful to work with. He and his crew did what they promised and in a timely manner. Yard looks beautiful!

We've used him twice and we love him and most likely, if we ever need it again we'll call him. He's very easy to work with. If you're really hesitant on the price, he's gonna talk it out with you and see what's good for you. If you ask him for advice on what you should do, he will give you good advice and listens. It took him a couple of days to get back to us, that's fine, but he's really busy.

I asked Overgrown for an estimate on Thursday. Frank, the owner, called and set up the estimate on Friday. I felt the estimate was reasonable considering all the work there was to do. Frank then asked when did I want the job done. I responded as soon as possible. He came with his crew Saturday morning. They were due at 9AM but got there 15 minutes early. My back yard was quickly becoming a forest and they started there. They did exactly as I asked and even took care of some things I did not ask about. They were professional, made some reasonable suggestions (that only come from experience), left my property totally neat and clean. It was neater than they found it. Frank and crew even pruned a large tree in my from yard that I didn't even realize some of its limbs were resting on my house in places. They brought their own trailer and hauled all of the debris away. I have 2 large dogs that I can now see when they are in the back yard. I think they are happier, too, with the forest gone. I cannot say enough good things about Overgrown Backyard, Frank and his crew. I will definitely use them to keep my back yard neat and tidy. I will definitely recommend them to everyone whether they ask or not.

Company was quick to respond and provided a thorough estimate for cleaning backyard and removing limbs and leaves from property.

Completely trimmed my nature areas and flower garden areas with paving edging. Each paver weigh 23 lbs and appox 250 pavers were used. Some pavers one level in some areas two high. All pavers that were not used were hand carried and neatly stacked to be used later on a project. (I purchases the pavers they were not part of the cost of the to the company.) All areas were weeded and mulch was placed. They moved large rocks and did beautiful edging, and went to far as to plant flowers that I had just purchase. This was beyond the scope of work first discussed. They were on time each day (2 days) worked so hard, beautifully done and I couldn't be more pleased. I thought my estimate was a bit high but I was able to use the coupon Frank advertised. I will absolutely used Frank again. He and his guys are the best I am so happy with all the work done. Thank you again Frank. PS- I will personally give a verbal reference for this company if need be!!!

Frank and his team did a super job of clearing the front yard and back yard of a home I recently purchased. Frank was very professional and organized. He came out to the house for a walk through and estimate on a Tuesday morning and he and a two man crew performed the work the next day. They loaded up a trailer full of weeds, vines, tree limbs, dead bushes, etc and hauled it away. When the work was done the yard looked great and very clean. Super job! Thanks Frank!
