Overgrown Backyards. Kudzu Removal. Lot Clearing.

Frank and a team of two other men cleared the ivy, pruned back trees, and removed all the debris. They picked up bales of pine straw from Lowe's and spread it. The yard looks so much better that I go outside to admire it about three times a day even a month later. I have an extremely large backyard and plan to have them return in the future to clear more.

Frank was professional and personable. They came to work and literally hand pulled weeds. My yard looks beautiful again. The cleanup was the first stage in my plans to landscape the area. Very pleased with their work!

Very well. Frank and Jerry did an excellent job; both had some very good ideas that made the project much better than we had envisioned. Both are very hard workers. I had hired Frank about a year and a half ago to clean up the back yard of our newly bought house; at that time, he did an excellent job. When we wanted to fill in our fish pond, I thought of Frank immediately. Again, he did not disappoint me. For any type of yard clean-up, this is the company that will do it right.

Bought house last Oct that was former rental property and need to get debris cleared from backyard, trim and remove overgrown bushes, cut back ivy that had grown over from neighbor's yards and then install fresh pine straw across about 1/3 acre. Called Frank to setup estimate and was given a very fair price given quantity of work required. He was able to schedule me in the next day. Crew arrived and we went over work. That was all I had to do as they did an excellent job and all I had requested. I feel comfortable now letting my toddler run around the backyard without fear of finding a sharp broken pot or poison ivy!

The only thing I had done was get an estimate for work in my front yard. I did not have this company do the work I needed because of the outlandishly high price I was quoted. Frank came (he was prompt) to give me an estimate on trimming the 10-15 shrubs in my front yard, removing landscape fabric from a large part of my yard, and digging up and replanting a small tree. The estimate he gave me was shocking, over $3,000, and this is why I am giving the company a bad review. A few weeks later I had the same work done for drastically less.

The crew was prompt, cheerful & professional. We had them remove bushes,debris and English Ivy. These guys did an amazing job for us and i would highly recommend them to anyone.

There was an unexpected clear day and I received a call asking if they could perform the work early. When I arrived home, the area looked wonderful- they had gone above and beyond what I expected them to do, including mowing the grass.

This was a big job, way overdue, but when Frank specked it out we could see he has a very good eye for what needs to be done. He cleaned up some wooded areas of ivy and overgrowth, and they look like pristine forests again. The back yard areas of several buildings were cleaned up, which involved removing many volunteer shrubs, thinning groups of shrubs that were too crowded, removing ivy from trees, and clearing a nice path for walkers. The edge of our lake was overgrown with weeds and naturally ends up a repository for storm drain trash, and that was thoroughly cleaned also. Frank and his men did the whole job in 2 days. I was impressed with how professional and friendly everyone was. They all seemed to really enjoy their work. Frank obviously takes a lot of pride in a job well done, and this was a perfect example.

It was great! Frank and his team were very professional and thorough. They really know what they are doing. Frank walked through the yard with me and asked me to specify what I would like removed, and what I'd like to keep. His team then followed my requests exactly. When they were finished, they hauled all of the removed Ivy, branches, logs etc. away.

We tried to meet. The first time one of my dogs had torn her ACL and I was at the emergency vet. I called him as soon as possible. He had come to the appointment a little early so we did miss each other. The next time I called him and asked him to return my call and he never did. He sounded like a nice person. I'm sorry we couldn't work something out.

After calling this company and arranging an on-site evaluation, Frank Thurston arrived on time only two days later with his crew of three men. Together, we reviewed the agreed upon price and the work to be done. Our back yard has a steep slope planted with junipers. The wooded area at the edge of our property was overgrown with vines, poison ivy, small trees, underbrush and weeds. It was not accessible to heavy equipment. The crew set about cutting undergrowth, hacking vines, chain sawing small trees and hand-carrying all the yard debris up steep stairs for disposal in their trailer. They worked VERY hard all day with only a brief lunch break on site. The crew walked through the junipers, hand-pulling weeds by the roots. They actually cleared more land than we agreed on, but did not charge us any more for the work. As they were leaving, they cleaned up fallen branches and other yard debris. Frank is professional and user-friendly. We will definitely use his services, as needed, in the future!

We have a rental house in Decatur, GA. Tenants badly neglected the yard and left piles of household junk in the basement. Frank and his crew did a fantastic job of cleaning up the yard, and hauling away at least 4 truck loads of yard debris and junk left by our former tenant. We can't thank Frank enough. We have a back yard again!

These guys did a great job, more than I paid them to do for sure. We had a little bad luck getting an appointment scheduled and they used it as an opportunity to overwhelm me with a superior job. In my most hopeful dreams I didn't imagine my yards looking as good as they did when I got home.

The yard looks great. It even looks bigger than before. He cleaned out all the junk and I can now see my bushes and plants. He and 3 of his men worked for 8 hours and completed the job beautifully. I called Frank on August 31st, he gave me an estimate on September 1st and completed the work on September 2nd. Phenomenal job!!

good job, polite and punctual - did what he promised

I previously gave an F because of a very high quote over the phone. Since he didn't really have the chance to see the work to be done he wasn't really able to give a good quote. He called and asked me to retract my review until he could give me an onsite quote. He said he would call within the next couple of days. It has now been 7 days and I haven't heard from him.

We called several times to set up appointment for yard work and they never called back.

Frank and his team did a PHENOMENAL job. I recently purchased a home that was completely abandoned and neglected by the previous owner. The lot is large -- over half an acre. The front, side and backyards were overgrown with weeds, shrubs, English Ivy and Kudzu. The backyard looked like a jungle! Frank and his workers arrived promptly and were ready to go first thing on Saturday morning as promised. They worked rigorously trimming trees, digging up bushes, pulling out monkey grass and tearing down vines. They completely cleared years and years of English Ivy that had begun to overtake the house growing up to the roof. They got down to the bare ground -- the lot was so clean I was astonished. Frank sprayed the yard with Roundup and then covered all the bare areas with pine straw so weeds would not return. I cannot begin to express just how overwhelmed and excited I am to have a beautiful and functional backyard. I never imagined that it could be transformed in a single day. THIS WAS THE BEST MONEY SPENT. I would do it again in a heartbeat. I have been telling all of my friends and family about Frank's service. He's amazing!!!

Frank came by and gave an estimate that was good for several weeks, services rendered were excellent. We had a minor scheduling issue, but were able to work it out no problem.

We normally do all of these things ourselves, but like many, somehow let it get out of hand and needed help getting the yard "caught up" so we could continue to maintain it. Services like this are not inexpensive and when Frank gave me his quote, it seemed excessive. But let me be the first to say we feel VERY GOOD about the work Frank and his crew performed! It was a hot day and there were 3 workers, plus Frank was there a good part of the time, working along side his crew. Prior to starting, Frank and his lead guy walked around the yard with me to confirm what I wanted done. I had marked the limbs we wanted cut and so forth. I believe it took a little longer for his crew to get the job done than Frank anticipated, but I have to say that when it was done, my oh my was it beautiful!! My wife was only able to see the improvement in the dark, as she worked late, but she was even more amazed and happy than I was! Frank and his folks do AMAZING work!!! I researched Angie's List prior to calling Frank and I you do this, too, you'll see that there are customers of his that have used Frank's services 5 or 6 times! What a fantastic recommendation! If you're considering using Frank, DO IT! I highly recommend him!! He is thorough, courteous (his crew is, too!) and when the work is done, Frank will walk around with you to insure you're happy and to make sure everything was done AND that you're happy!
