A leaking cast iron pipe dumped sink water into our crawl space. The plumber who repaired the pipe suggested we call Floodmasters for remediation. Nick came the next day and reviewed the problem. His explanation of what happened and what needed to be done was clear and complete. The next day, Leroy and Michael came to do the job. The pumped out over 300 gallons of water and then shoveled out about 1000 pounds of kitchen waste. They applied lime and placed a pump and fans to aid in the drying. Two days later Nick was back to check on the job and the next day Mellissa was here to check again and do some testing. We are impressed with Floodmasters crew - their professionalism, hard work, attention to detail, and customer care. We hope not to need them again, but if we do, they are the ones we will call.

The water dried, but other employees came and completely destroyed our kitchen. They gave no quote, nothing to pass on to our insurance company (homeowners). They claimed they were looking for asbestos, but our home was built in 1984. They tore out ceramic tiles, cut holes in the wall and made a complete mess. And they charged $1,000 on their first visit! There was nothing done for “free”. I had to contact the technician “Q” for an invoice copy, and for the quote they never gave us. He then asked for an additional $1,500 (when I called him) and I told him he was not getting anything. They destroyed our kitchen and they need to repair the damage. A third plumber came - sent by our insurance company, and he was able to find the leak. Because it was due to the ice maker, the claim was not covered. We are contacting an attorney to have this mediated. This company is terrible! Do not hire them

Still in the process of drying out. Came to the rescue at 2am. Rahid came in the middle of the night and did the disinfecting, Grady and Joey did the heavy stuff - ripping up flooring, tile and drywall, the boss came in to assess the problem with electrical issues, Jason and Richard came with the electrical solution. Now the fans and dehumidifiers are doing their thing. This is the first time I've ever had to deal with this type of issue. All and all, Floodmasters is a great company to work with. Very professional and considerate.

This company will be out of business in no time or will change their name. Floodmasters of GA came recommended to us by High Priority Plumbing, who we have used for years and really like and I hope they stop recommending Floodmaters to anyone. We are now 5 months into a project that was suppose to take 2 weeks. Every time they come into the home, they leave with either little work done or something else damaged that was not damaged to begin with. They also come with attitudes and have spoken to my wife and I like we are just taking time out of their day. Today, I actually felt threatened by having them in my home and asked them to leave. Why should anyone feel threatened in their own home??? My wife has missed weeks of work trying to manage this thing and the owners/managers are no where to be seen. DO NOT TRUST ANYTHING THEY SAY. We actually had one person come in and tell us he does not want to be here and suggest we find someone else. Stay away, stay away, stay away.

They were very professional. They explained exactly what the process was and completed it to my expectation. I would definitely use this company again if the need arises. The technician, Leroy, was very proficient in his craft.

We pulled up to our new house with the moving truck just to find a note on the door from the water company saying the meter kept running when they came to turn on the water. A pipe had frozen and then broke in our new house on the day we moved in. So, I called Floodmasters and they had a guy out here quickly to repair the pipe and stop the water from doing more damage.  Then, they had another guy come out and dry out all the water.  My husband and I were really impressed on how quickly (and painlessly) the whole process went.  The guys at Floodmasters were very courteous and explained the whole process very well.  I would (and have) recommend them to anyone with a problem like this!

Firstly they showed up on time for the appointment we scheduled to do an assessment. Jesse was very thorough, took his time to make sure all areas of concern were looked at, and walked us through what the process would be. We agreed on a fair price for the work and scheduled a time to start.
The guys showed up first thing in the morning the day we had talked about. They began setting up some sort of containment in my finished basement and in the crawlspace so they could start the work without disrupting the rest of the house.
It was a 4 day process in which Jesse and his crew showed up on time every morning, worked at least 8 hours every day, and were available to answer any questions we had throughout the day.
Upon completion of the work FloodMasters offered air testing for all previously affected areas, gave me an invoice for the work that was done, and made sure all my questions and concerns were answered.
A+ job and would definately recommend/use them in the future!

These guys cleaned up, packed up and remove all evidence of the overflow.  The only thing that I did not expect
was the electric bill was 3x's the normal amount and they did not honor the coupon for the $100.00 off  of service.

Sales rep/estimator came out same day which was a Sunday, very much appreciated that. He seemed to be professional, upfront and provide accurate estimate. I know that septic cleanup isn't the most pleasant of jobs, but my sons wanted to take one of their employees out back and teach him a lesson or two. Aside from that, can't  say that we had a very bad experience other than we had to call several times about areas that were missed. And now that I'm getting area ready for rebuild, noticed some areas that appear were never cleaned, not to mention drywall screws still in wall where wall was removed. Tile floor only partially removed?? and septic residue
plainly obvious still left in some areas. I'm still waiting for someone to come and secure the vapor barrier to the walls. Was informed that it was a miscommunication issue, but I also  know that if I miscommunicate something to someone, which is rare btw, I would take care of it. The other issue was that it seemed rather humid in the house during the dry out and I thought surely just b/c of all the drying / cleaning equipment. Turns out, some of the equipment was draining right back into the crawlspace. I'm mystified as to how this happened as FloodMasters was supposedly taking regular readings. This was my 1st and hopefully last experience with a flood / restoration company. Anyway, that was my experience. Some of the staff were great, some as expected and one or two probably have no where else to go other than working in the...septic arena. Too bad. This was a missed opportunity for Floodmasters. Hopefully they will read this and the other reviews and tweak a few things.

FYI, to set context, I am a first-time user of any services related to water damage and restoration. Never needed to be in a situation like this and have no clue how things work in this industry or the terminology used.
I was initially actually impressed to see some good reviews from Angieslist members for this company. However, I now realize that everything that glitters is not gold. I called this company for some garage ceiling water damage estimation. A gentleman by the name of Mitch Turner came by and provided an estimate of ~$1300. Per him, everything to do a full job is included in this quote except "patch work and re-painting" (which he told us was, in their terms "rebuilding") and quoted me an extra $600 for the rebuilding. I told him that I was extremely sensitive to the cost (but was willing to work with $1300 for everything except patch work and re-painting), and you are going to charge me $600 for patch work and re-painting, I can handle that myself. We were all good about this and agreed on a deal.
Next morning, when the guys Jessy and James come in to do the work, they tell me that only removal of old insulation from the ceiling was in the scope of the project, but the installation of new insulation to replace the old insulation is part of "rebuilding". I wish Mitch had been upfront with me about this when he gave me the quote, because that would have meant that I would have made a completely different decision the previous day itself. I call Mitch to discuss this issue (and asking for some fair compensation for his lapse of communication, which by the way he totally owned up to and also apologized for not  communicating this to me) who points me to talk to their office. I call the office and speak to a nice lady, who says she will need the owner Bob to call me about this. After much internal phone calling between all of these folks, I am told Bob will call me to
discuss this in a few mins to work something out. I await Bob's call, but Bob doesn't call for 10-15 mins. By this time, the guys are done with their job of cutting the ceiling open, removing insulation, setting up the blowers/dehumidifier for drying, and about to leave. Bob still hasn't called. I ask Jessy for Bob's number and Jessy obliges. I call Bob and the moment I call Bob, the first statement I get is "so you are the guy who is harassing my guys" and mumbled a couple of other nasty statements and hung up on me. I then call him again and calmly tell him that at the very least, you need to listen to my complaint, as a customer and give me a fair chance to represent my side of the story. He wasn't willing to listen. All he wanted was for his guys to pull the plug on everything take all the equipment back. He then also uttered a VERY RACIST statement, which I cannot post here (if he had common courtesy, he would not have uttered such a statement to anyone, leave alone a first-time customer. He again hung up on  me and called his guys who were sitting by my garage and asked them to pull everything out and return. I didn't stop them, as I  realized I will be doing business with a jerk, who does not know how to respect customers.
I was not asking for any free services here. At the very least, I was expecting an apology from Bob (like Mitch did) and own up to  their miscommunication. If that would happened, believe me, there were a whole lot of options open that would have come out as a win-win for both parties. But I guess Bob wasn't in the mood for any business....
I would sincerely recommend anyone reading this to stay away from FloodMasters. The guys Jessy and James were great and did their work wonderfully, but unfortunately they work for a jerk of a boss, and that's what counts at the end of the day!

Response was excellent. I called them around 9am, and Tim arrived and did the estimate by 1030. The tearout and setup of the equipment was done by 2pm.There was a miscue about the pickup time (I needed the stuff out by 11am, they thought they had all day) that was handled well, and the pickup was made when I needed it.There was a lingering musty smell that bothered me,and Tim came by to check it out. He checked for moisture(none) and assured me the smell would go when the buildout was done(it did).

I was so happy with the response time that I hired Floodmasters without getting any other estimates but I checked around later and got over the phone ballpark estimates of $500-$1200, so their price of $1000 was in the neighborhood.
