DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY Just had new wooden floors put in home! Prior to having new floors put in we notice water on the floor. So before running the dishwasher after having floors installed we called to have the dishwasher looked at. Amtec Services came out and informed us that he had to order a part. More than a week later he returned with the new part and replaced it. He then told me we were all set and left! A few hours later we ran the dishwasher only to run a errand and return home to a kitchen floor with water running from out of the dishwasher. WATER METER READING 99 As of 4/16/2022 repairs to dishwasher and floor have not been done!

This place is either completely ignorant about appliance repair or is running some kind of scam in cahoots with (or possibly at the expense of) American Home Shield Home Warranty. My suspicion is the latter. The guy who came out to repair the dryer could speak exactly six words: "need part" and "three to five days." I have an older Kenwood dryer; it's not the most complex machine ever build, especially if you profess to be an appliance repair company. After three visits to the house over four weeks, I hear the familiar "need part" and "three to five days." I gave him the old Larry David eye, where you just keep looking in there to see if he's full of it. My suspicion is something is rotten in Denmark with these folks. They must be getting paid by the visit maybe? I don't know. FWIW, American Home Shield credited my $75 fee and are sending someone else out here for free. Let's hope they know how to fix a dryer in less than one month.

I did it through American Home Shield. As a brief preface I have used AHS a few times before and they are ALWAYS the first tech they send out. They have always been rude (both on the phone and in person) and never communicate the problem when they come in for the initial assessment. They'll tell me they'll get the part, but at times will say it's not covered but it will cost me more to have a tech come out again not covered by AHS. Regarding my cracked oven door: I had run a self-clean and the glass cracked due to high heat (normal wear and tear). The tech told me they would get back in touch with me once they source more glass. Three weeks later I got a call from AHS saying that it was determined to have been physically damaged, not normal wear and tear, so they would not cover. I complained to AHS and got a second opinion. Within 30 seconds, the second opinion said it that it was obviously normal wear and tear due to high heat. I have no way of knowing what compelled Amtec to tell them it was physically damanged, especially when the tech told me they would get the part and come back to me. All I know is I will always specify that I do not want Amtec if I ever use AHS again.

These people don't know how to prioritize their work. They work for American Home Shield so they probably get paid by the trip regardless of the lack of customer service. It took 7 weeks and 2 technicians to fix my washing machine....the first technician was completely incompetent and came 5/6 times and told us the machine was not repairable. The second technician was super nice and very apologetic for his company's poor professionalism. Besides him, not one person from Amtec (not the owner, not the manager, no one) offered any kind of apology. He came once and told us right away that the problem was the main control board. He swapped it out that same day and it was fixed. I would have thought the main control board would be tested first thing...7 weeks....I don't even know what else to say.

Very very disappointed and disgusted with this company. I had issues with my washing machine so Amtec was called out to fix, After they left I used it and it stopped working immediately again, I called them back they came back and claimed they refixed. 2 months later the same thing happens again. I was forced to use them because they are one of the company that my home insurance uses. Amtec comes back out and I pay them ANOTHER $75 co pay and once again they claim it?s fix. Couple days later guess what.....Stop working again, call Amtec back and they come out AGAIN works on it less than 5 mins and says everything is fine, I explained to the tech that I can?t keep taking off work to meet them at home and paying $75 every time they come up and they aren't fixing the machine. **Needless to say 1 month later my machine is not working again!! I will never use Amtec EVER and have advised my insurance company do not send them back to my home & demanded any other company but them. So after paying almost $ 500 to Amtec the machine is still not fixed I could have almost purchased a washing machine . I am the only one in my home so I don't have a lot of clothes that need washing on a regular, I may wash clothes once every 2 months and then it?s not a lot of clothes because I am a professional and take lot of my clothes to the dry cleaners. So it?s not like the machine is being heavily used, there is no reason why after 5 times of them coming out the machine is still not working .

One of if not the worst companies I have ever dealt with. Came out and was late and not professional at all. Technician then verbally gave me a report and said they'd be in contact to come back and make the repair. 3 days later I get a call from the warranty company saying i owe $75.00 and the technician didn't find anything wrong. The dryer has to run 3 times to dry clothes and sounds like its going to run away from the house and the washer is so out of balance that it sits on 2x4s to make it work. The legs have completely rusted in the machine so it can't be adjusted. I'm not a rocket scientist but clearly something is wrong with both. You couldn't pay me to give this company another opportunity to fix something else in my house.

The AmTec service technician has made a total of five visits over a period of 40 days and has been unable to repair my dishwasher. He is unprofessional in his actions and appearance and is limited in his ability to effectively understand what is wrong by the fact that he can not hear and is Russian and can speak only broken English 9/29: first visit, says a new control board is needed and that it must be ordered. 10/9: installs new control board but can't wait around to ensure dishwasher runs correctly. dishwasher stopped 15 minutes into the first cycle (about 10 minutes after he left). 10/17: installs new heater element. again, can't wait around to ensure that dishwasher runs correctly. dishwasher again stopped immediately after him leaving. 10/20: says a new control board must be ordered and leaves. 10/21: AmTec closes out service ticket with AHS and says unit is working properly. 10/30: again says new control board must be ordered. 11/4: AmTec has not ordered a new control board

Amtec services was sent to us by our home warranty company to repair our refrigerator. My reason for writing this review is not with the quality of the repair work, although the refrigerator is still not in good working order, it is with the poor professionalism I just experienced. This evening when I followed up with my calls from yesterday (which I was told the technician would call me back and he did not) I spoke to a man I have never dealt with before and when I expressed my frustration with no follow up, he hung up on me. When I called back he immediately yelled f@#$ you and hung up on me again. According to their website they warranty their work. My original repair was done on 9/2 and thus should be under warranty however I can not schedule when I am cursed at and hung up on. Very disappointing.

The provider Amtech, came over a couple of times to check our dishwasher covered under a home warranty from American Home Shield. The first time the technician, didn't even ask about the issue, and just decided he had to change some panel. It took about 3 weeks to get the part and the technician to come back and change it. After that, the problem subsisted, and even got worse over time. We called again, and this time another technician came, and actually told us it would be best, if we replaced it, but that it could still be fixed. We decided to change our dishwasher and save us from another unprofessional repair. It really seemed like the technicians were not very confident in what they were doing. They did come in another occasion to look at a refrigerator, and although scheduling the visit was not very swift, they managed to get the problem fixed.

When we bought this house, a home warranty was included. American Home Shield dispatched Amtec to repair our dishwasher. The service technician was rude, especially when he returned with the necessary parts 10 days later. The parts would have arrived sooner, but Amtec took two days to report to American Home Shield what was wrong with our machine, which delayed the parts order. But, the dishwasher works now and they arrive as scheduled.

I contacted this company to get a washing machine repaired. The man who answered was extremely rude. He said it is not possible to get parts for a machine that is 20 years or more old. Yes it is possible to get parts through either Sears or Ebay. He told me to buy a new machine. This company needs to quit advertising "repairs all makes and models" because this obviously is not true.

Provider was supposed to repair our oven. The repair was scheduled for between 3:00 and 5:00. The technician never showed. I called the provider to ask where the technician was. The first guy, Alexander, said the technician had reported car problems earlier that day but never said anything about not being able to work. He then said he would attempt to contact the technician to get a status update. I never heard back so I called a second time and was told that the technician was sick and that was why the technician never arrived for the appointment. The problem is two fold. First, I was provided two different stories about why the technician never arrived for the service call. This indicates the company is lying about at least one reason why the technician never arrived. Second, the company had a number of alternative means to honor their commitments. They could have dispatched a different technician to provide service. Or they could have called, explained that their technician was unavailable, apologized for the inconvenience, and asked to reschedule. They did none of these. Do not use these guys if you value your time. The cannot be trusted to honor their commitments or appointments.

My experience was mixed, though overall they got the job done. My main complaint was trying to pin down the time the service technician would be at my house. The technician himself was good and helpful, though after the first visit when he tried to repair he actually made it worse. But he came back and replaced the unit, and in the end all got fixed.

The experience was great. Oleg has worked on our refrigerator/freezer in the past, and in a couple of instances did major repairs to the closed refrigeration system. He is very knowledgeable about refrigeraton equipment and he cares about taking care of the customer. For example, on another occasion, he added coolant to our system so that the refrigerator/freezer would continue to work until the replacement part could be obtained. While Amtec is both very responsive and punctual, my only complaint is that sometimes they will initially send someone out to diagnose the problem who is not as knowledgeable about refrigeration issues, which then may require another diagnostic call. So if you suspect that the problem is with the closed refrigeration system of a refrigerator or freezer, I would suggest asking specifically for Oleg.
Description of Work: The defrost heater in our kitchen freezer had stopped working, causing the coils to frost over and prevent the unit from keeping food frozen. Because the replacement part was not immediately available, Oleg used a handheld heater to defrost the coils so that the freezer would operate for a few days until the replacement part could be ordered. As soon as the part arrived (a few days later), Oleg came back out and replaced the heater. Note: This service was provided under a home warranty, so the price was a set price and does not necessarily reflect the cost outside of the home warranty.

Amtec called, having been contacted by AHS on our behalf and set up a date to come out to repair the dishwasher. They did not repair the dishwasher, but determined what parts had to be ordered to do the job and said that they'd call back to set up a time to do the repair. Two weeks passed - no call. I called them - no answer. I called again a few days later, spoke to the agent on duty, and was assured that he'd call back in a day or two - no call. I called several more times before an appointment was made. The repair person came out and replaced a part, but discovered another malfunctioning part. This happened twice more - two more visits and two more malfunctioning parts with weeks between. I don't doubt the malfunction, but I am very disappointed that it took a total of four visits and over two months for my dishwasher to be repaired. If you can avoid this company, avoid it.
Description of Work: There were several services that Amtec performed because they were the service provider affiliated with American Home Shield [another company with which we are extremely dissatisfied]. The repaired our refrigerator when the electronic panel on the front stopped working and our dishwasher when we had multiple problems caused by a mouse seeking a water source.

This is her report back to me: The service person you referred from Angie's was: Amtec Services, Inc. They did come out. The technicians name: Gary. I was not happy with his assessment. He was here hardly 5 minutes, he took the front cover off, shined his flashlight under the tub, tapped on a few things with his screw driver then told me it was the transmission. I paid him and sent him packing. I then called A1 appliances Rescue in Suwanee. The technicians name was Marcel and he was Great! He came in, took the machine apart - and showed me which part was broken which happened to be the block - not nearly as expensive as an entire new transmission. He had the part with him and repaired it then. Thank you for the help, Judy

Poorly. First, technician came on a Friday, spent 2 hrs, said he'd fixed leak, but said there was a switch, that needed to be replaced in order for the dishwasher to work. I pointed out, that it had been working fine, just leaking. This seemed to confuse him. He said he'd need to order the part and come back Tuesday. Shortly thereafter, got a call from dispatcher, saying that the first guy had called in saying that he wasn't sure and they needed someone else to come out for a second opinion. Second guy came out Saturday, spent another two hours, I have no idea what could possibly have taken that long, only to announce that there was a hole in a hose (Really? You think?) and that he'd need to order one and come back the following week. I told him to forget it. Just a complete waste of time.

This has been one horrible experience after another. They had to come twice for the ice-maker and five times for the oven. The same problem happened over and over. The home warranty company contracts with this company, so we did not have a choice of service providers. This last time, our dishwasher needs service. They did not call in the 24 hour window, so we had to call. When they did not show up for our appointment time, we had to call again. They said we were not scheduled at all. We had to reschedule for three days from now, and stay home hoping that a technician will come available today. Given a choice, we would never ever use this company again. They are not friendly, do not do the work promised, their technicians never seem to be able to do the work in one visit, and they have no interest in fixing any of these problems.
