+ -1 moreI located Always Moving and Storage on Angie's List on the day that a delivery company used by Restoration Hardware Outlet in Dawsonville, GA, dumped a very large and expensive item in our garage refusing to carry the item up a flight of stairs. I spoke with Tony twice on a Saturday and described the dimensions of the object; the route it would take to get inside; and the fact that there were at least two turns the item would have to make in order to finally reach the location where it would be placed. Tony told me that he would likely be able to move the item without first having to view it and would try and come by around 9:30 am on the next day. On the next day, Tony was running a little late but he called and apologized and arrived shortly thereafter with Enrique (sp?) and Huber (sp?), two of his moving staff. While I distracted three very curious dogs on our back porch, Tony and his crew moved the large item up one flight of stairs and placed it in the exact location where I envisioned it would fit. They performed the work in a very short amount of time (approximately thirty minutes or less). Tony and his staff were very professional and polite. Based on the type of object they were lifting and the fact that they performed the work on very short notice, I gave Tony $200 - he asked for $185. I am impressed with his work and will likely use him for any other moving jobs we may have in the future.
Description of Work: I convinced my boyfriend to buy a Mayfair Steamer Secretary Trunk from the Restoration Hardware Outlet Store in Dawsonville, GA. A week later a company delivered the trunk to our home but the delivery personnel refused to carry the item up one flight of stairs to the living room where the trunk could be used. Instead they deposited the trunk in our garage, claiming the item was too heavy to carry up the stairs. My boyfriend was very upset. He called the Restoration Hardware Outlet Store to see what, if anything, they could do to ensure the trunk would be delivered inside our unit and not the garage. He was told that the manager would have to contact the moving company and get back in touch with us. So not having a lot of faith in what Restoration Hardware Outlet might do or not do to remedy the situation, I joined Angie's List precisely to find a reputable and reliable mover who could move the trunk into our living room. I contacted Always Moving and Storage and asked for Tony. He was able to bring Enrique (sp?) and Huber (sp?), two of his staff along with himself, to our townhouse a day after we talked and a day after the trunk was dumped in our garage and the three men moved the trunk inside to its intended destination. They performed the work on short notice without damaging the furniture or the hallway. The trunk was not damaged and they placed the item (76"H x 39"W x 29"D) exactly where we wanted it positioned. Tony and his men were professional and efficient. He asked for $185 for the job; I paid him $200 for the effort and swift response to my call.

+ -1 moreIt was a Tuesday morning and I totally forgot about the end of my lease agreement coming up on Friday. I was in trouble. I needed to find and new apartment and relocate ASAP. Finding a new apartment was not a problem since I already had inquired about several locations. However, I am a single mother with a small budget and relocation services in metro-Atlanta can be very expensive. Fortunately, I remembered a flyer that I received several months earlier from this company called Always Moving & Storing. This company provides moving services for small apartments to mansions and commercial re-locations. Therefore, I called to inquire about the company's services and booked an estimated for Wednesday afternoon. The owner of the company arrived to perform the estimate. I explained my situation to him and told him that I really need to be out within two days. He said he understood and that he would have my whole apartment packed and moved by Friday evening. The movers arrived early Friday morning and went to work. Because my apartment was not that big, they finished packing and transported my belongings to my new location that evening. My overall experience was wonderful and I would recommend Always Moving & Storing to anyone looking for a professional, reliable, and inexpensive moving company.
