I highly recommend Southeast Awning for your awning needs. Doug came out and picked up our old awning and brought it back with new fabric, painted the frame and reinstalled it. It looks fabulous. He's truly the expert on awnings and has the best pricing.

They are the best and most reasonably priced awning company ever! Most importantly, they care about their customers. My parents needed awnings replaced in their commercial property and their home. Doug, our sales representative, was professional and honest in his evaluation of what needed to be fixed. All the other awning companies tried to push getting a whole new system rather than using the existing, perfectly functioning frames. However, Doug assured us that they can just replace the covering and keep the current sturdy frames. The workers were professional, on time, and cleaned after each visit. They did a fantastic job! However, more importantly, Doug Dechert, was honest and trust worthy in his evaluation of what needed to be done to repair our awnings. We told him that we needed to replace the awning at my father's house, and he gave us a quote based on what we said. However, when he actual saw awning to be replaced, he told us that it didn't need to be replaced entirely. He gave us a lower price quote. We wouldn't have known the difference, and we've already hired him to fix our commercial property, yet, he told us a cheaper price than what he originally estimated after looking at the awning! Who does that?! Southeast Awning is the real deal, and Doug is one of the few honest sales person who really cares about delivering honest evaluation, keeping in mind the best interest of the customer. Amazing and I would highly recommend them to anyone!

The job got done but took longer than expected. They do mainly commercial work, so when they accept a residential job, it may end up on the back burner. They make certain their commercial jobs get done on time over any residential job since that is their bread and butter. From estimate to finish it took almost three months to replace the canvas on an awning.

Everything was excellent from the brief, well organized measurement and estimate session to the installation. The new awning is really nice.

Doug was very professional. He came to the house twice (second time to confirm measurements) and even modified the size at the last minute due to some water runoff concerns. He said the interval between order and installation would be 4-5 weeks but he was ready in 3. The awning is exactly what we wanted and makes the deck a year round use area. It also keeps water from running through the deck so the patio underneath is now dry all the time. The framework is very strong and easily supports the 2 ceiling fans I have installed.

Doug Dechert's services, work and work ethics are superior. Rain came into an opening over one of my doors after a bad storm. My neighbor suggested that I call the company they used to install their awnings, Peachtree Awning. Despite my numerous calls to Peachtree Awning they never responded. I remembered that I could use Angie's List and I found Doug Dechert at Southeast Awning. He responded promptly. He came out to give me estimates and left color swatch samples for me to choose. I needed help in making my selections and he gave me concise professional suggestions. He followed up with email pictures of exactly what I would get and a total price. I agreed and he did the installation in less than the 3 week estimate. He did not wait for me to be at home to do the installation and I was very pleased not to have to arrange my schedule for this. Doug followed-up with a thank you post card and email.. It was the nicest service experience I have ever had. The awnings are beautiful and according to my neighbors, 1/2 the cost of Peachtree Awning. I highly recommend Southeast Awnings to anyone looking for awning services.

Our interesting and ALWAYS challenging older home has an awning over a deck that connects the house itself to a much more recently built garage. The awning design and install was done by the previous owners about 15 years ago. Doug came within several days of my initial call and truly appeared astounded by the whole situation. He told me that he would have done it totally differently and did not feel good about the job. He is a man who wants to do things right! I pleaded my case because the situation was what it was and I couldn't change the extensive metal frame that we had. Doug rose to the occasion, used superior material and technique than had been used previously and installed a beautiful, if overly complicated by the situation, awning for us on 5/2/14. We can't thank him enough for using his exceptional skills on a job that was less than ideal and creating a both beautiful and functional new cover for us! We have other awnings and will certainly call Southeat Awnings again.

Very impressed with the owner's suggestions. He drew up plans for a large area to be covered. The samples and brochures he brought were very helpful and I plan to have the work completed when I return in a few months.

They were prompt to call me back after initial contact and it went very smoothly from there. I was able to use online or emailed photos to make my fabric selection in order to nail down an approximate price, and they came out to do a detailed measurement and to explain various options available to me. The delivery and installation occurred right on time per their estimate, and the installers did a very professional job. We're very happy with the results.

Outstanding experience from start to finish. Company was considerate of my schedule, arranged a time convienent for both of us to come by and measure. Left me with a book of canvas styles and colors, emailed me a general picture representing what the awning would look like on my door. We confirmed quote and it was installed with professionalism and attention to detail. Would not hesitate to refer them to my friends and neighbors.

Doug came out immediately after receiving call from us. Said the job would be completed in five or six weeks and they would come get the frames when they were ready to do the work. It went exactly as promised. New awnings were up in five weeks. There was no bill until the job was completed to our satisfaction. Upon payment, we received a thank you from the company. You cannot ask for more than that. We highly recommend them.

I prepared written specifications for the project including covering material to be used, time frame, and price. Southeast visited the site to measure for the new awnings, removed the existing awnings and completed the work in its shop. Southeast complied with my request regarding timing for removal and reinstallation. The recovered and new awnings were excellent quality. Corners were triple-reinforced, stitching was excellent, and the installation went smoothly. Southeast provided me with the leftover fabric per my specifications. Southeast's price was well below other's quotes. I will recommend this firm in the future.

Doug was extremely thorough and communicative. He explained pros and cons, why certain things are done certain ways, all the options (like "you might want to paint the frame for this one to match the cover since you can see the frame from the window). I felt very well informed! He even explained what drives costs so that I could make the best decision. AND he was super courteous. Then he and his team built the frames, crafted the covers and installed the awnings on my home. They look great, are of excellent quality, and I had a great customer service experience.

Mr. Dechert himself came to our house to discuss our needs, showed us various types of awning covers, prices, and did the measurements after we agreed to go ahead with the purchase. He said it would take about three weeks until the awning cover was delivered and installed on an aluminum frame and then installed at our dwelling. He was right on target and once the awnings were delivered it took about one hour for two workmen to install them. They were friendly and professional. We couldn't have been more pleased with the finished results.
