Called to schedule a consultation regarding performance of existing unit that came with the house several years ago. Dan came to the house and discussed our requirements and our need for better comfort especially during peak hot season. Dan informed me that the existing unit was undersized for home and would also require some duct work modifications to improve air flow and maximize effectiveness with new unit. Dan stayed in contact during the entire installation process. The installation technicians were fantastic. Bruce and Cali were very knowledgeable and were very professional during the entire install. They were happy to answer all my questions and were not bothered by my constant questions and looking over their shoulder most of the time. As a matter of fact, they even fixed an existing problem on my basement unit that was not even part of the installation/service schedule. What really impressed me the most about this company was that Dan followed up everyday for several days and before payment was made to make sure that the new system met all of our requirements. Dan even tweaked the system even further after initial installation by adding extra return ducts because he wanted to get the system operating at 100 percent efficiency and performance (and added a better thermostat). When he left after the final walk-through he told me to call him if ever I have any problems in the future. I believe this company won't disappear after the initial sale and installation. I have always expected 100 percent quality and service from contractors and generally I am forced to accept less than that. In the case of Progressive Heating and Air I received much more than what I expected. Great job.

Chuck was the service tech dispatched to my home. His professionalism was observed through his courteous attitude and professional appearance. His overall assessment of the AC units was traced to a faulty voltage distribution component. He replaced component and performed a test on component and checked Freon levels. The cost of repair $255.00. I was extremely pleased with Chuck and the work he performed at my home. My assessment of Chuck's overall performance is "10," very satisfied.

We have two Ruud air conditioners that are 7 years old and had only been checked once a couple of years ago. They seemed to be working fine, but with the hottest part of the year coming up we wanted to have them checked. We went with Progressive because they are a Fujitsu authorized dealer and we also had a Fujitsu mini-split in our sun room. Technician arrived within the timeframe promised. He checked the regular units and said they need service (freon). The options offered from a Progressive manual ranged from a "quick fix" for $277 with no warranty to a "platinum" service at $830 per unit. I was shocked at the prices, but went with the "silver" option with 6 month warranty at $553 per unit. He added the freon and additives to the compressors, washed the compressor coils, and cleared the drain lines. Work took about 2-3 hours. I gave the price a "D" rating as I regard the price for the work as high, and although their web site lists a "senior" discount, it wasn't offered and at the time, I didn't think to ask. I gave the Professionalism a "C" rating as the technician wasn't very communicative, but he did do a professional job. I asked questions, and received short replies that I had to repeat as I couldn't understand his first reply. Part of having a good service experience is being kept informed as work progresses and why it is necessary. Also, I would have thought that given our age, the senior discount would have been offered. Given the price and professionalism rating, I then gave the overall a "B" rating. 6/11/2014 -- Was contacted by Alan (Allen?) and discussed the review with him. He promised to send a refund for the senior discount -- have not received anything as of this date. He assured me the company charge was not excessive. I researched the price of freon, leak sealant and oil (performance enhancer) and even factoring in $100/hour for labor (including overhead) and a reasonable profit, I am hard pressed to come up with what was charged-- perhaps it's just what most companies charge. I have no objection to a company making a profit -- I hope they do as that's what keeps people employed and rewards entrepreneurs.

Sales associate was professional & knowledgable. Installation techs were courteous, competent, & timely. Whole job went very smoothly (even pulling big, old furnace out of the attic). Very pleased with the work & running smoothly 6 months later. Even lent us portable AC unit to get us through hot weekend while units came in!

They said they had to redo everything, another company came in and said that I have been cheated. I didn’t have to have nearly as much work done as was done by this company. Not only that but the work wasn’t even done correctly in the first place by progressive.

Progressive Heating & Air Conditioning put in an upstairs and downstairs air conditioning. They did a good job for us. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. They cleaned up well, and they did their service on time. I think the price is a pretty standard stuff.

They are always excellent. They do a great job. They are going to be back out here in about a week to do our fall service.

I would definitely NOT recommend this company. I initially contacted them after the seeming good reviews on Angie's List. I scheduled an initial appointment for them to go through my system in a recently purchased home. Their technician, Dan, came to my home on time and was very professional. He went through my entire HVAC system and repaired a faulty zone damper. He said that it would be a good idea to have my system under a maintenance program to prevent future difficulties. The cost was quoted as $250 annually. I agreed to have their maintenance program. No sooner had he left my home and I received a call from their office to schedule an appointment. They certainly wasted no time in contacting me $$$. The appointment was scheduled with a 3 hour time frame for the technician to arrive to begin the work, noon to 3 PM. I took the day off from work in order to be at home during the quoted time. I waited and waited and waited for someone to show up during this time...no one did. At 3:15 PM (15 minutes after the latest they were supposed to be there). I called the company. The response I received was that she would check to see where he was. I admit that I was quite peeved and asked why I had simply not received a courtesy call if they were going to be late. I fully understand that people get behind, but not to get a call with an assurance that they will be their is inexcusable. My time is valuable as I'm sure theirs is to them. Their lack of timeliness and professionalism tells me that my business is not at all important to them, so they won't get it.

The repairman came at the scheduled time, fixed the system, explained the problem, and gave tips on keeping the system functioning well. The repair was quick and I immediately had cool air running again. I was sure i would have to replace the whole system, since several units in my neighborhood had recently needed replacing. Since all our homes were built around the same time, this is what I was expecting. It was a pleasant surprise to spend only $200.00 when I thought I would be spending several thousand!. I will use this company again and would refer any of my neighbors or friends to them.

I used them repeatedly in my business unit, they're very straight forward, they tend to work with you, they recommend something, they try to work with you, keep it going as long as they can while giving you the best information they can give you, they just work with you, when I set appointments with them, they're usually there before I am, no question, we use them all the time.

Their level of professionalism, respect for my property, courtesy, and attention to detail is unparalleled in my experience with any trade. They even discovered a water issue and gas leak that was obviously old and had been obstructed by the old ductwork and had the foresight to take pictures and advise me so that I could address these two potentially dangerous and very costly problems. I gave the price an "A" because, although expensive; I feel they were very fair and that I received excellent value for the cost involved. I could go on and on about my pleasant experience with everyone I came in contact with at Progressive, but I'll just say I couldn't be any happier and would gladly recommend them for any HVAC problems.

It was an emergency late on a Friday, Progressive came and fixed the air conditioner with no fuss! They were so fast we really appreciate them. We'll only call on Progressive!

ide My 18 year old heat pump was on its last legs. I contacted Progressive through Angie's list on Friday. The next morning Dusty gave me a call, and we scheduled a time for him to visit. We looked at several grades of heat pumps, and I decided on the two stage 16.5 SEER unit with the matching indoor air handler, and communicating thermostat. We selected an install date. On the morning of the install Darren the installer and his helper arrived on time. They performed the install in a professional manner. My son, who works in industrial refrigeration, and I, observed the installation from start to completion. The attention to detail and professionalism was fantastic. They didn't drive off until all of my questions were answered. This was a very professional install crew and they were very good at their job. I would recommend Progressive Heating and Air Conditioning to anyone that is in need of HVAC services.

I could throw a rock, really, from where their place of business is to my home. I didn't know they were this close. They gave me the estimate with the wrong name and address on it. I called them and asked them to refax it to me and they never did. The person I spoke with was quick to tell me about the morale of the company and how great the owner was; but nothing about the technicality of the unit that would go in. I can't help but feel that they have a quote to fill because he tried to sell me on a whole house dehumidifier. From talking to other people who gave me estimates my home doesn't need one. This company's estimate was $8,500 and all the other estimates are coming in around $5,000. I never got another quote with my name on it and he told me that the price increase would be 8% as of July 8. I felt like I was kind of being pressured, but he wasn't telling me anything about the system. I will not have them bid again. I was unhappy with the transaction because I had to keep pulling the conversation back to the unit.

A couple of years ago I had a professional inspection and they told me who ever installed the furnace installed one too small. They said the duct work was installed incorrectly. It was coming loose where it was connected to the furnace. The owner was arrogant. I would never ever use them again. The man lies and they did shotty work.
