Basement Specialist

Couldn’t have been better. Definitely had challenges with Covid/Supply Chain issues which lengthened the time of the remodel, but none of it was Mark, the builder’s fault. In fact, I don’t know of anyone other than Mark Goodson who could have handled the obstacles more professionally! As for the remodel itself, it turned out absolutely beautiful! Before the build began, I thought it hyperbole when Mark said that the finished basement will be the feature that will sell my home in the future. I can honestly say he wasn’t exaggerating one bit! His design for our new home ( my wife and I moved downstairs and the kids and grandkids moved upstairs) was way beyond what my wife and I could have imagined; and it was certainly much better than the other two estimates I got in the beginning. First, Mark refused to put in a dropped ceiling which would have close in the living space. Instead, he redid the duct work so that he could do tray ceilings in every room giving the basement a larger look! Finally, he took out an entire wall thus opening up what would be our living and kitchen into a wide-open space. Bottom line, Mark is indeed the Basement Specialist making the most of every inch of space both useable and beautiful. You may be thinking he must be overly expensive, but in fact, his estimate was much lower than one of the three I brought in. You can’t go wrong with Mark. The pride and workmanship he uses in hiring his crews is beyond reproach.

Mark Goodson was selected to complete and finish our basement after several bids. Mark is very experienced, has good references and was fair with his pricing. He answered all of our questions from the beginning thru the entire process, including positive feedback from our original design. This resulted in a change that turned out great! Mark is very detailed in his workmanship, is always available and communicates well. This included an itemized budget within his contract to breakdown costs for each phase (no surprises). His crews were friendly, courteous and cleaned up after each day they worked. Our friends and neighbors have been very impressed with our finished basement and we would highly recommend Mark Goodson the "basement specialist"! The Little Family

Mark and his crew were great! They went above and beyond my expectations and the end result was great. We are very please with all of the work. Throughout the construction process we could see that he takes pride in the product and treated our project as his own. I truly cannot find any negative items to report and I can honestly say we will hire him again!

Goodson Roofing and Construction are A's across the board. They were very professional. Their prices were good. They were timely. Their clean ups were excellent. I have nothing but positive things to say about them. They did a complete roof system for our house probably ten years ago. I have no question of calling them back if I had a problem or recommending them to someone else.

These guys are great. Always come when they are supposed to, professional, friendly and do great work. They came out and gave us a thorough bid explaining everything he would do in detail (they actually did more though!). We trusted this team to be in our home for hours at a time with none of us there. They did a top notch job - and were a lower price than anyone else - without cutting any corners. We hunted for the right person for a year and finally found the right folks. I am glad we did.

Job was finished on time and within the budget. Mark is very good at working with the homeowner throughout the process to make sure things are on track and meeting the requirements of the homeowner. He also comes on visits during the job to inspect work done by subcontractors to ensure quality. The job has been spectacular and we all spend most of our time in the basement rather than upstairs. Quality work, good price and on time. During the construction, my wife had our 3rd child. Delivery was very difficult and sleep was hard to come by. Mark worked AROUND US to get the job completed. I don't know of another contractor in this economy who would've done that. He asked us the best times to do the "loud" work, made sure we were comfortable with the times the workers would be on-site. He really became a partner for the time he worked for us.

I received and estimate from several contractors. I like the way this contractor took the time to measure and make sure he gave me a close estimate of the work I desired. The work was started on July 7th and completed as originally stated. The area was kept clean at all times. When the supplies were delivered they made sure it was not put in an area that would kill grass or be an obstruction. Over all I am very pleased with the workmanship of the screen in porch as it looks as if it was originally a part of the house. Contractor suggested we add decorative lighting and other ideas that I found very helpful since I could not afford an architect.
