septic tank
+ -1 moreI found French and French in the Yellow pages. I was looking for a company to pump out a 1000 gallon septic tank. I was quoted $300.00. Once they had my system apart, I was told that I had 3 ft. of sludge and there would be additional costs to blow out the line. After all, was said and done the total was over $1200. After speaking with at least 4 other companies, today I was quoted $375-$400 to do the work that French and French did for $1200. It is apparent that I was drastically overcharged. They took advantage of my wife being home alone and not knowing what had originally been quoted or what a legitimate charge should be. They also took advantage of it being an emergency situation. They use a scheme charging by the gallons and "feet of sludge" in the tank.
Description of Work: Pumped septic tank and cleared 3 ft of line.
