 + -1 moreFirst time they came with the owner, Terri, I believe. And there were people everywhere in my house, a Bosn's Head from England, a collector's item, was knocked of the wall onto the tile floor and chipped, and even though the first cleaning took a few hours, with at least 5 or more people cleaning, things were left undone. I was told they would get them the next time, but this first one cost me hundreds of dollars and the cleaning was only done in about 1800 square ft of the house. The next time, the owner did not come, and never came again. I complained that the cleaners would clean around things, rather than move them and clean under or behind them. 3 women would show up to clean, and be in and out in an hour. I complained, I asked for certain things from the owner, and the excuse was that she hired women from the shelter or who were just out of jail or prison, and she could not change their work ethics. She understood when I fired them, but I paid more than I should have for absolutely lousy service. Had I known people getting out of jail or prison were going to be alone, unsupervised in my home, I would never have hired them. I learned this after I complained and told her I would not require her services any longer. That's something I would think would be information to be shared with home owners.

 + -1 moreGRITS did a fantastic job all in one day. This is a big house and some areas (baseboards, windows, ceilings, cabinets, etc.) hadn't been really cleaned in years. Everything literally sparkles! Almost hate to put it on the market now! They did great work at a reasonable price - I would highly recommend this service.

 + -1 moreThey came in and cleaned the house so "they" knew it would be clean, everything was touched and cleaned. They said they would be able to maintain it better if they started with a clean house. It surpassed our expectations. Very Professional, friendly and attentive to what we said we wanted them to do, they did way more, and the Bi-weekly cleaning was just as impressive. Very punctual, friendly and easy to talk to. Great bunch of Ladies.
Description of Work: Initial Top to Bottom House Cleaning. Then bi-weekly cleaning to maintain the initial cleaning.

Description of Work: My Daughter had GRITS Cleaning Girls Raised In The South a Southern Tradition come into my home to clean several rooms for my birthday. Terrie Lewis came a few days earlier to look at the rooms and tell us what they would do and discuss the price of their cleaning with my daughter after they both left my daughter did not want me to know the price of the job. Some things GRITS would do were: 1. Clean all of the cabinets-take everything out and organize them after cleaning the cabinets 2. Wash the panel walls in the den from top to bottom 3. Clean the inside of the windows 4. Take the globes of the lights on the ceiling fans and clean them 5. Put something special on the dull, dead look of the den floor to bring it "alive" Number 5 is what sold me and allowed GRITS to come into my house. 6. They would bring their own supplies The special stuff to make the den floor look alive-was not done. Glasses not used after not taken out of the cabinets-the dust is still there - a good layer that I could not miss. Some of the inside windows in the den still have the mark there- not washed. The valence over the window over the table easily seen today-that wall not touched. The white globes over the lights on the fans still a dirty grey. The organization of the pantry and cabinets a disaster. The foods used less often on the bottom shelf. The dishes used for cooking Sunday dinners on the top shelf next to the ceiling. I looked for my Pledge to carry to my other daughter and for my Clorox Clean up and found the empty containers in the trash. If you plan to use this Southern Tradition I would suggest you get in writing what they will do and check the list before you pay. the job the girl did in the bathroom was remarkably well done, the patio door was clean. Terrie Lewis asked that we write a review and that we be honest. I could say a couple more things but this is enough. I hope she enjoyed the money she charged as she said, she charged more, but did more. In my opinion this job was charged more and less done.

 + -1 moreThese women were fantastic. They came in and cleaned my house so well I could eat off of any surface. They arranged things for me, pulled out all items from the wall and cleaned underneath. There was no surface that went untouched. There were some areas that I had been having difficulty with getting pearly white, and they knocked it out of the park. I have had a bad experience where I hired someone to come and clean, the job was horrible, so I was very skeptical about doing this again. These ladies came highly recommended from a good friend of mine, and hands down I am sold. I came home to a clean smelling house even though I have a 150 lb dog that can stink up an area, music playing in the back ground, everything placed perfectly. Anyone who is looking for help with their house cleaning would benefit greatly from using their service. They have sweet personalities I felt like I had known them for a while.
