Everything went well. The only problem was a minor one, the clean-up could have been a little better.

They were done in a day just like they said they would be. No one was home when they did it. I would probably use them again.

Very well. Over the years Michaels roofing patched and fixed issues on my old roof. Even though this is not there core business, they made repairs in a timely manner to a 20+ year old roof. When it came time to install a new roof, it was a "no brainer" on the contractor I would select, based on past history. Like I mentioned before other neighbors have commented on the look and quality, and I see that a neighbor behind me has just used them in the last few months, doing the same design and color as mine.

Everything is fine with the work, but I haven?t got a receipt from them. Somehow he is not able to answer the phone and get back to me for the receipt. Their responsiveness to get the job done was good, but to get the paper work done was not good.

My neighbors and I agree that I got a carefully done and great looking new roof. I think my knowing what I wanted and discussing it in advance with the company plus my checking references helped me find the best firm to do my roof. Michael Cannon was prepared and looked professional when he came to see me. He was the only company that gave me a typed list of references. Mike's list included a list of 76 homeowners and two churches (one of which I attend) whose roofs he has done in my zip code (31411). I called four individuals on the list and the church Elder (a retired building contractor) who supervised the installation of the roof on my church. As a result of these recommendations, my checking with the Better Business Bureau and my feeling comfortable with working with Mike, I decided to have Michael's Roofing do my new roof. Note: there are several other Cannons who have roofing companies also. This one does not use Cannon in its name. The workers were polite to me each time I went out to check on their progress, which was frequently. All of them told me that they appreciated my letting them use a bathroom in my house rather than having to leave the job to go to a service station. (I believe in treating workers with dignity and try to keep them happy if I can!) Overall, I was exceptionally pleased with all but one small thing about getting my new roof. I hesitate to mention it but think it is important to discus everything. The only thing that I wanted that I didn't get at the time the roof was done was extra soffit vents. I suspect that Mike just didn't want to tell me that they may not the very best ones to do this. I found out later that this most likely worked out best as it did. I was told that roofers do a good job of replacing small amounts of decking; however, they aren't carpenters. I was further told that putting in additional soffit vents on an existing house is tedious and exacting work that has to be done from an awkward position and using a power saw. I hired a carpenter to add the extra soffit vents and was very pleased with the outcome. The cost to do this was minimal. If you need a roofing company, be sure to talk with Mike Cannon of Michael's Roofing and check his references for yourself. I think you will be pleased with his other references. As a final thought, if you are changing your roof's ventilation system substantially, you may want to consult a specialist in advance. This could be a Roofing Consultant (Google it) or, surprise, a fireman if you can find one who will talk with you about your ventilation. (I found one by accident and learned this!). A fireman bets his life almost daily on his knowledge of ventilation and other risks.
