NATURAL ENCLOSURES

The service went well. We had a little issue with the fence line. We had to call them back to realign since the fence line was not straight. It was wandering over my neighbor's property. We had to call them for adjustment.

The sales person for the fence company was wonderful, polite, detail oriented. The crew who installed the fence, were a little rough around the edges. The workmanship was sloppy. They used screws that were too short and had to come back out and replace the screws. While I understand the property is on a slope, the angle of the fence could be more even. The gate at the driveway, has a small corner where the wood must have chipped off during the building process, leaving an inch gap and they failed to install a post to hold the gate open. They did come back and install the gate post and replace the screws. I can't say I would not use them again, simply because the customer service was top notch, I do however wish I would have gotten additional quotes and considered other companies.

We experienced a delightful conversation with the sales representative, getting to know him and learning more about the company. However, we know now that our decision to go with Natural Enclosures was a mistake. After several visits to nail down exactly what we wanted, the work was started promptly. We were quite impressed with the workers who built the brick columns. They were highly skilled and knew what they were doing. They came early in the morning and often stayed until late in the evening after dark, using the headlights on their vehicle to light their work. The brick columns were built well and are quite beautiful. The rest of the fence building went downhill from there. The crew that built the cedar part of the fence were sloppy and too eager to get the job done fast. They arrived late and left early. The cedar part of the fence was installed fast and carelessly. We had to monitor them every step of the way, and also had to have them come back several times to fix mistakes. Even after the fence was deemed completed, and paid for, we had to call them back again after noticing a board had fallen to the ground. We later discovered it had absolutely NO nails in it. They missed it completely. What really disappointed us though were the gaps between the boards. We paid extra to have boards put up on the outside of the fence so as to create a solid fence with no gaps. I specifically asked if the outside boards would be placed in an alternating manner with the inside boards so as to overlap and prevent gaps. I was told "absolutely," but the crew installed the outside boards in the same positions as the front boards, causing gaps and 'see-through'. So our intention to have no gaps was NOT fulfilled. When confronted with this error, both the sales rep, and the owner of the company tried to tell me my instructions were for something else. Although they fixed all the other numerous mistakes, they would not fix this one. So, after considerable cost, now we are stuck with a fence that we did not want in the first place.
