+ -1 moreThey were hired to remove a very large tree on our neighbors property which they felled onto our heavily wooded property. In the process they damaged 3 of our own trees. When confronted they said they could do as they please and that their equipment would tear up our property when they came in to clean up. There was no prior notification and they really cared nothing for any damage they caused on our property. We called the police. I would not hire this unprofessional company if you want your neighbors to speak to you or care if you get sued for neighbors property damage. Marcia Harmon

+ -1 moreIt went great and much better than I expected. A few other companies I asked for a quote gave me a price that was tripple of what they would charge. Their prices are very reasonable. The guys were extremely professional. I will definitely be using them again when I need more tree service.

+ -1 moreI had dead pine trees that were close to my home and the crew that was sent out were very professional in all aspects of removing the trees cleaning up and most of all I had some small trees that were close to the dead ones that I wanted to try and save and spoke to Levi the crew leader and Michael and they went out of there way to not cause any damage to any of the other trees. The crew was very respectful to my wife and me during the whole process. If I ever need a trees service again , I will definitely use Milam's Tree Service.

+ -1 moreWe had 2 trees fall on our house during overnight storm. Our contractor, Southern Specialties, called this company. In a few hours they had the trees off the house. They were a hardworking efficient team. Stumps were ground and everything cleaned up. I would definitely use again. The price quoted was the charge for extra tree, not complete job since it was handled by insurance.

Description of Work: Removed 1 large oak and 3 maples trees close to house, ground stumps and removed all debris. Also trimmed some large limbs that were hanging over driveway, blocking a security light and hanging in utility lines. They had all the right equipment, several people and they were actually fun to watch. They worked like a fine tuned machine and did everything I wanted. I would definitely use them again.

They cut the base of the dying black cherry tree and lifted it straight up and over the top of the house (there was no where for it fall without damaging something) then placed the whole tree in their chipper. The oak tree was removed by cutting the base then carrying the entire tree to the chipper. It was very quick and efficient. Their stump grinder is a small machine and was able to easily maneuver around the pool and into smaller spaces. Most challenging was cutting the giant dying popular tree with hollowed out insides down into the roots as I was not sure where it would fall but they placed it in the exact right spot with their crane helping to manage the fall direction.
Description of Work: cut and leave a 60+ foot hollowed out and dying popular tree: cut and remove a 30+ foot dying black cherry tree next to pool, fence and house: cut and remove a large 30+ dying oak tree near house and fence: ground up stumps for several old stumps and for the stumps of trees removed

+ 0 moreI have used them before. Actually fun to watch as one of there crew is a serious athlete with his ability to run up the side of a tall tree. They have been on time with good cleanup. They bring the appropriate equipment and a large crew even though it was a small job this last time.

Description of Work: Took forever to get them to come give me an estimate....If I would have known that they have a $350.0 minimum to cut down any tree...regardless of size or if they haul off or leave where it drops....I would have not wasted their time or mine....I have a small tree I need removed and do not need it hauled off....Milam's is located 3 miles from my house....if $350 min. is the norm then I guess they are okay....I went to to Milam's and bought pine straw....,fair price and good quality and great customer service....

+ -1 moreThey were trying to fit a lot of appointments in between rainy days last summer so they were very late in arriving versus the time they had given us and we had given up waiting at home and went for a run. When we came back they were there but had started the job without us and cut down the wrong tree. They ended up not charging us for one tree, and also called in extra help once the mistake was made to get it all cut and cleaned up before dark (since they had to cut down the right tree plus another). They cleaned up nicely and ground the stumps as they stated.
Description of Work: Milams was scheduled to come and cut down two very large trees my husband had designated with their representative when they came out to give us an estimate.

+ -1 moreThese guys are amazing and I cannot say enough good things about them. They were prompt and showed up when promised. They met a slightly less expensive estimate I had received from another company. They were professional and courteous, and that included everyone from their office staff to the guys who came out and cut my trees and ground my stumps. They also followed up after the job was done with a phone call to make sure I was satisfied with the service I received and then sent a card thanking me for my business. In a world where it is sometimes hard to trust people, these guys were a great find and I HIGHLY recommend them. I would use no one else for any future tree needs. They also deliver mulch, fill dirt and top soil and they are very reasonable.

Description of Work: These guys were very professional. A representative arrived when he said he would to provide an estimate. He was very professional and friendly. My protection dog met him and immediately approved of him. That's a good sign. His price was very fair of three estimates I got for the removal of three trees due to storm damage. I elected to use this company based on the fairness of price, my dog's reaction to the rep and my gut feeling. The work crew arrived and were equally professional and courteous. The crew went above and beyond the agreed upon work. They cheerfully cut up some of the wood into firewood for me and stacked it out of the way of the rest of the yard. They cleaned up exceptionally well. Instead of risking destroying a portion of my privacy fence because they weren't sure where a huge tree root would end up after they cut off the top, they dismantled the section of fence. Very thoughtful of them!!! They ground the stumps up so thoroughly I can't believe huge oak trees once stood there! They even kindly asked if I wanted to keep the mulch! I'm career military. I call it like it is. These guys are true professionals. Ladies, if you live alone, don't fear calling these guys up for an estimate and to perform your work. They are honest and cordial. Even though I'm a man, I truly feel they won't take advantage of you to make a fast buck. These guys rock!

+ -1 moreI have used them a number of times. I would recommend them because they do a good job and they do a good cleanup job too. I don't remember how much I spent. I think it was about $2000. They are pricey but good. I would continue to use them in the future.
