Masters Restoration

Hello, to whomever it may concern: I am excited to be a part of Angie's List Yes, I had my roof replaced by Masters Restoration, owned by Keith Childree...I like the new roof that has been replaced, but the service was and has been, extremely unprofessional, with lack of communication, no show to appointments, and no accepting phone calls... In the beginning when I first met Keith Childree...I selected him, after he was referred by a relative I happen to know.. Who happens to cut my grass...Mr. Childree also did work on a neighbor of mine. whom I have known since 1996 when my home was first built..Who happens to be a police officer in my county...Me and a lot of others figured if our neighbor and friend the police officer picked him..He must be good....WRONG!! At any rate... I paid, Mr. Childree, not only do my roof; But my gutters, my windows, and my the siding on my home...Not to mention I also got him more business with another neighbor and friend...Which in return she had the same communication problem as well..Along with the fact that her adjustor had to keep, revising Keith's Childree's proposal because he kept adding more work on to the house so he could get more money...Which slowed down the work process she was trying to get down, before she left town... At this point.. I really do have a horrible taste in my mouth...Because I trusted Keith Childree to honor the man he presented himself to be...I am no longer wanting to do business with him...For the simple fact, once he got all my money....All communication, came to a complete halt...The only way he would respond to me is through a text message..That is not the way you deal with a paying customer... I handed Keith a check for over 12,729 to do all the work that I have mentioned in the above....In all reality He actually talked me into giving him the check and I went stupid and did it..... You see I am a widow of two years now...He clearly convinced me that he would take good care of me, and that widows have a special place in his heart....And that if I am behind on my mortgage then I need to give him the check...So that my mortgage company doesn't take the money...Hmmmmm..What Contractor says this? Believe it or not during the process of writing this email, I spoke to Mr Childree, and he informed me that he was not going to give me back the money, for my siding, my window or for the damage to my property, that his crew did..... Neither is he going to issue me the $200 referral fee he promised to me.. On the account, that If I was to get him business with my neighbor and friend.. Which in fact!.. I did... I want everyone to know.. Mr. Childree is a GREEDY, LIAR, CHEAT, & A THIEF.. He is out, to only make money, for himself.. And he will do and say whatever it takes to get him in the door.... Just as he did with another neighbor I talked to by the name of Cheryl Young who lives two houses over...Her and her husband are experiencing problems as well, with this same contractor...And I know she has a story to tell.... This man has reaped me off and I want my money back...I truly and sincerely know. He really took full advantage of me, for the simple fact..I am widow.. Wow!..My own Adjustor at State Farm, Chris Zeigler, called him up on the phone, on my behalf and suggested, to him..That since I am not happy to give back the money he owes me as well...This is the adjustor from State Farm..Who did not have to do this..But did for me... We called another Angie's List contractor who wasn't available for a few weeks to provide the services we needed...but he told us of Masters Restoration. We called Keith and he came the very next day to look at our job. Their prices were a bit higher than other estimates we received, but because they could start right away, and because another contractor referred them...we let them have the job. They did a good job and went above and beyond the scope of work to make us happy. We will certainly call them again.
