We needed a lot of work done. Started with a bathroom remodel. That went pretty well. He didn't ask for money up front, only half. Paid for a shower door in March of 2016, that he refunded in March of 2017 since it was more to purchase from his ex inlaws than he thought. Promised door coming door coming for months. He owed this business money so he could not get the door. I asked him to refund more than we paid him since he kept our money all year. He did. We went out of town another time, I left a blank check for a door that he had purchased and we owed him for. We were going to do the next bathroom, we had talked about it, but not agreed upon price. He wrote himself a check for several hundred dollars, went to bank and cashed it. It was way more than this bathroom job should have been. Even at that, he did a fairly good job. There are unfinished pieces of business in every room he touches. He quoted what we thought was a decent price for a kitchen remodel in April 2016. If we paid him up front, he would hang and paint doors for us (we purchased). It is May 2017 and some of these doors are still not painted. He would quote paint and we would pay it and he would send me for more on my dime. Despite all that, we let him install laminate flooring while we were out of country for a week. I will give you a good price, you know me. This was huge mistake. On top of adding a pantry and installing this, he worked on the kitchen that was paid for ten months prior. The tile is uneven, the cabinet doors that he took off to hang microwave are in his possession. They are coming they are coming. No cabinet doors. The tile doesn't meet the bottom of the cabinet, the laminate flooring doesn't meet the fireplace. The doors are not painted. He charged us double on the laminate flooring, aside from using my Lowe's card to buy quarter round that was included in the kitchen install we had paid for 10 months prior. Why would we fall for that again? Promised to refund 400 for overcharging us on the quarter round. Haven't seen it. Litigation is in his future. He works full time for Paces remodeling. He has his kids half the time and uses that as an excuse, even though he always finds time to show up if there is money to be made. He is a rip off and con artist. We have given him approximately 15k this past year. Why we kept using him is beyond me. He would do a good job on something and we would fall for it again. I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, you guys. Mr. Fake Humble. We have unfinished biz in almost every room. He has our cabinet doors. Aside from the unfinished and shoddy work, he also owes us 400.
Description of Work: Bathroom remodel, went well except for the missing shower door second bathroom remodel went well, except he decided price himself, cashed my check and did work that wasn't agreed upon. I hated it at first. He left the new vanity unpatched, it looked terrible. Both vanities leaked and had to be fixed after install. When we did finally get shower door installed (by his ex bro inlaw), the shower leaked because the lip slanted out and not in. He has since fixed that. Total kitchen remodel Added pantry Painting inside of house Hanging and painting interior doors that we finished Installing floating laminate flooring Painting trim, shutters, outside door

I have used this provider in the past for several things, however, I am getting ready to put my house on the market and was left hanging. Unfortunalty. I paid up front(lesson learned). He started several jobs and did not finish. Put backer on bathroom floors for tiles, did not finish, was suppose to replace fan in bedroom, replace doorbell, and touch up some paint spots. I have tried multiple times to contact, either I get no response, or I;m sorry, I;;l be there, etc.....but never follows up . I have even tried a certified letter and came back with no response. I am sorry he would take advantage of me in my situation, a widow, moving out of town for a job. I would like to get some money back, but can't seem to contact him. I learned my lesson.
Description of Work: painted inside, stained deck, replaced closet doors

Did not complete work as promised. Was paid in full but never returned to finish touchup work. I was told by him that i should be able to do the minor touch up and that i didnt pay him enough to keep coming down to my house and working. Keep in mind, HE gave the price quote and never had a final walk through with me be ause he never even finished the job. I have texts saved where he promised to come back and finish but i still cant get him to come back and complete the job i payed him for.

The work was completed start-to-finish without interruption. Quality of workmanship was exceptional, and the attention to detail was over-the-top. Throughout the project, Josh and the entire Harbin crew were respectful and courteous always demonstrating their commitment to delivering quality work. Josh kept us advised with daily progress reports, and expected work times for the next day. They let us know well in advance when their work would require for someone to be home. We are exceptionally pleased with the completeness and quality of work provided and the pleasure of working with Josh and the crew of Harbin Painting and Remodeling.
Description of Work: Our 2400 ft2 ranch home, built in 1995, had only been painted (poorly) once in 15 years. As a result, much of the trim and siding was rotted or with significant water and UV damage. The south-facing brick mold, window sills, fascia, chimney trim, and dormer siding was particularly bad. We solicited several estimates for trim repair and painting the exterior of our home. The estimates ranged from "scary low" to approximately $6,000. Two of our neighbors had recently used Harbin Painting and Remodeling to paint the exterior of their homes. Both required minor exterior wood repair, but not to the extent that was needed on our home. After talking with our neighbors and owner Josh Harbin, we decided to hire Harbin Painting and Remodeling to complete the work. Contracted work included: remove all gutters, pressure wash the house and driveway, caulk & sealing, replace and/or repair of all trim, replace the crawl space entry door, replace damaged siding & shingles, install flashing (along roof dormers), re-route AC condensate line, and prime/paint all surfaces with Sherwin Williams Super Paint.
