Description of Work: Rawlings repair man, Grady, came to our residence as planned to repair our KitchenAid Microwave above the stove. He spent approximately 45 minutes in analyzing why the unit would loose power and then come back on again. He established that a power line into one of the terminal boards had come loose. After securing this power line securely it's appropriate slot, the unit began working again without loosing power. Unfortunately, two days after Grady had left, the microwave unit again lost power. Grady return again to re-secure all power wires going into the front terminal. Again the unit began working without loosing power. However, Grady informed this customer that he was going to talk with his supervisor to determine why this was happening with our microwave. Four days later, Grady and his supervisor came back to check the microwave. When told it had been working fine since Grady had returned the second time, the Rawlin's repair men explained they could not work on the microwave unless it was again losing power. They further explained I was to call them again if this problem reoccurred.

Description of Work: Came to the house to look at the refrigerator - it needed a part, they thought, they went and got the part which took a long time and returned and installed it I(seal). By the next day is was obvious that this was not the solution, they looked again and then said we would just have to replace the appliance.

Description of Work: I made an appointment online to have my 2 month old washing machine repaired and was contacted the next day by phone. I was pleased to hear directly from the company since I was not sure they had received my information online. The technician called the morning of the appointment to let me know he was on the way. He took the machine apart and determined that it was not draining out because of a blockage. There was no charge since the machine was still under warranty. I was very happy with the service and would definitely recommend them for any appliance repair.

Description of Work: I had an issue with my freezer; Rawlins appliance came out, identified the problem, ordered a part, and put it in. When I had additional problems, they researched the issue,found out what the problem was, and fixed that problem...at no additional cost. The whole experience was painless!! I definitely would recommend Rawlins Appliance for any appliance repair needs.

+ -1 more.Our refrigerator was very hot to the touch and wasn't working efficiently. I first called Sears repair because we had a warranty with them. We had to wait two weeks for a repairman to come and after diagnosing the problem he gave us a price of $300.00 to replace the motor.He said our warranty had to be canceled because the refrigerator was 10 yrs old. I decided to check Angie's list for another repair service. I called Rawlins Appliance because they were rated highest on the list. They came the next day and installed the motor on the following day. There was no waiting and the job was handled to our satisfaction and at a lower price. We will call on them for all of our appliance repairs from now on So good to find a reliable service.

Description of Work: I called Rawlins and they responded the next day. The technician fixed the blocked drain and did so in an efficient way. He was incredibly professional and showed me how to fix it on my own next time.

While the tech was there, we asked about our non-functioning ice maker that a local plumbing company repaired (but never worked). They diagnosed and fixed teh problem and fixed it shortly after. Great service !

+ -1 moreIt was a good experience. They were here when they said they would be and didn't waste any time getting to work. They were pleasant and professional.
Description of Work: Called to get a dryer repaired that was squealing and occasionally snagging clothes and burning. The technicians called ahead and were punctual. After looking at the dryer they knew what the problem was and needed to order new rear bearings and seals. The shop called later that day and provided the estimate and scheduled the replacement work. They were punctual and professional and took about an hour to replace the parts which required pulling the drum out and reassembling it.

+ -1 moreWe had Rawlins complete some last-minute repairs the week before our Masters rental. They first fixed an icemaker and a washing machine, which cost less than $100 together. Our disposal quit working shortly before they arrived for the first repair, so we asked them to take a look at it as well. The disposal was beyond repair, and Rawlins called later that afternoon with a quote. They replaced the disposal the next day and did not charge another service fee, just the equipment and installaton fees. We learned we could have Rawlins purchase and replace the disposal for almost the same amount as we could purchase the disposal at Home Depot. We are big do-it-yourselvers, but with a company like Rawlins, we'll never do our own appliance repair again. They are dependable, knowledgeable and reasonable. It costs us less in the long run to hire the experts, and it is certainly a lot easier.

The service tech from Rawlins was professional and pleasant and quickly diagnosed the problem, had the parts in his truck, and repaired the washer quickly. + -1 moreGreat job. They told me there were two options; replace the temp sensor which might fix it (under $160), or replace the control panel which would definitely fix it ($400). (I had already checked an found that a new oven, same model would be about $900). I chose replacing only the sensor - it worked. I liked they were up-front and honest about the cost and options.
