Perfect. Our exterminator, Bulwark, recommended their strategic partner TruTech. Our technician was Nick Starsky. He could not have been a better service provider! Professional, punctual, polite, competent, and immensely effective. His, and his Company's commitment to humane pest management was commendable. I most highly recommend TruTech and recommend you ask for Nick.

He was coming every month to check for mice or any other animals, but since there has been no activity, we have changed that to every other month. I have been very pleased with their service.
Description of Work: I woke up in the middle of the night and smelled skunk! A technician came out and checked. He confirmed that a skunk walked through and headed back toward the woods, but was not in my crawl space. Now I have someone come on a regular bases to check my crawl space.

They were referred to me by another company to do $700 of snake prevention work. I signed the contract for them to do the service because I was freaked and I didn't know it was a monthly contract. I called the regional manager and he said there was nothing he could do if a customer wanted to cancel a contract they had signed. He was really rude.He went on to tell me to go ahead and talk bad about him like he took the money. I talked to the company that referred them and they felt about it. They were willing to give me several months of free service to make it up to me. I am willing to pay them the $50 for the first time they came out and nothing after I requested to cancel the contract. I didn't read the contract and I wasn't briefed about it. They came out in November and December. In December, they might or might not have come. They didn't leave a note or anything when they came and they charged me for it.
Description of Work: They sprayed around the house.

They were unable to find a snake after about forty minutes, due to the amount of insulation in the attic, and they said there was nothing they could do about it. They said they could do more damage to the insulation while looking for it. They didn't offer to put out snake traps or anything else, so I have purchased some myself. They said if I saw it again they would come back. They told me to tell the electrical company that was supposed to come up to install lighting, that the snake had been removed by them. I don't feel comfortable lying that the snake is gone, if it comes out, putting others at risk.
Description of Work: They were supposed to inspect the attic and remove a six foot snake.

Possum removal went fairly well, although It took longer than the 10 days-2 weeks I was told it would take. TruTech (Charlotte) was able to catch and remove a total of 8 Possums from under our crawlspace. It was explained to me that the 1289$ would cover removal, cleanup, repair of the point of entry and because they had been feeding off mice, that they would set up monitoring stations and monitor them over the next 11 months. I clarified that the 1289and included that service because we have a pest service already that they could provide mice control if need be and I was not going to pay twice! Andy, the technician assured me that was included in the total price. So, possums are gone, however there is still insulation all over the ground that the possums had tore up that I was told would be picked up and wasn't. When I asked Andy, he said "Oh, whoever you hire to replace your insulation can just pick that up" Lastly, I received a bill in the mail from TruTech for 65$ which is the monthly service charge for mice control/monitoring????? Exactly what I had clarified with Andy earlier??? As of this point we have gotten nowhere with the company as far as cancelling this service. "Your wife signed the contract" is all my husband has gotten so far. SO unprofessional!!!!!! Not willing to work with the customer At ALL!! What happened to the customer comes first? I am very disappointed in this company. I feel the contract was sloppy and set me up for misunderstanding! I will never use them again, and would never recommend them to anyone!!

Long story short: after months of our dog itching and numerous vet visits, the vet and I (see other review for vet) determined that the dog had been infested by bird mites. Nearly unheard-of. I called Tru-tech and the technician, Tucker, came out. I explained the whole saga (we had had a bird's nest near the house and it got infested with mites; I think some mites had dropped onto the dog which caused his itching, and I was worried that the dog dander in the house had spread mites into our home). I wanted Tucker's assessment of what could be done. As it turns out Tucker is a wildlife biologist, which was immensely helpful for our discussion. I showed him slides of the mite and he confirmed that it was indeed a bird mite (as opposed to something else). He explained the usual signs of mite infestation, which I did not have. He and I decided together to treat the carpet where the dog spends time just in case. What I appreciated is that he didnt' give me ironclad guarantees. He told me what to expect (the spray is a growth inhibitor), that he may need to come out again (He didn't), and asked me to be in touch with him. He sprayed, and short story later, our problem was solved. Best of all, Tucker was proactive and called me to see how things were going post-treatment. We had an additional issue in that I have constant trouble with squirrels. I had been using another company and spending way too much money catching squirrels, despite having taking all sorts of precautions such as using wire mesh, attaching metal to our gutters, etc. It's not that company's fault; I live in a wooded area and the squirrels are tempted to try to get in the house. Anyway, Tucker found a few holes, repaired them, circumnavigated the house for signs of other issues, and advised me on how to deal with them myself. I've since signed up for Trutech to come out on a monthly basis; so far they've been fine. I pay $90.00 every two months.

Description of Work: We had been having a problem with birds entering our house. When we found another in my daughter's room at 11 pm at night and were not able to get a hold of it, I looked online for a wildlife removal agency that worked 24 hours. The only one I could find was Trutech Pest and Wildlife. I called a central number and they had someone local call me with 15 minutes. His name was Tucker and he came out to the house within the hour got the bird and then proceeded to go up in the attic to see if there was any entry points he could locate. Since he did not find any and this was the third bird to get into the house, we hired him to come back in the morning to reexamine the house. He not only found and removed half a dozen nests but also went on top of the roof to check up there as well. He was very pleasant and kind and we have not had a problem since. We highly recommend this company.

I spend about $65 or $75 a month on that service. They do the same service that another company does, but a little more than that. If I have snakes, they would get rid of them or any animals like squirrels or raccoons or whatever and they would take care of it if I wanted it off my property. They also get rid of any insects.

Overall, they were ridiculously expensive. $1100 for some steel mesh and a small metal sheet? To be fair, I did call and talk to the regional supervisor, who GENEROUSLY gave me a refund of $100 on the $400 to get rid of the critters, so I only paid $300 for scent on a tennis ball. I think it's going to be the same regardless of which critter removal service you call. I had used Skip the Critterman last fall to remove 3 raccoons from my attic, and he supposedly sealed things up (obviously he didn't), and it had cost about $800 for trapping and removal, not to mention the repairs on my alarm system when one of the raccoons in the trap clawed through the wire or the repairs to the air ducts the raccoons had shredded (another $600). That said, Cliff did a very good job on the exclusion work, even painted the metal covering for the door white to go with the house trim. He made sure I inspected and approved of each step, but each step was done on a different day, and after the initial visit, he didn't call me to tell me he was coming, so it was often a surprise to see him turn up in my driveway. (I did get a call, of course, when he showed up and needed to get in the attic and I wasn't home.) All told, it was about three weeks to get everything done, and I had been hoping to get it done and finished in 1 week. Of course, since I paid up front, I must have been fairly low on the priority list, cause I got the impression I was his last stop each afternoon he came by. If you have raccoons on your property (and I'm sure someone near me now does, since they just ran them off instead of trapping them and removing them to a more rural area), save yourself a lot of time and money! Buy raccoon scent from a hunting supplier online for $7, a can of tennis balls from your local Walmart or Target, and run the coons off yourself!
Description of Work: I live in the middle of the city, but still had a raccoon with babies in my attic. Cliff, the service technician in the Montgomery, AL, area, came out, inspected the situation, and told it me it would run about $2000 to get them out, clean up, and seal up the attic. I didn't have much choice--the raccoons were driving me and my dog nuts--so I told him to go ahead. $400 was for getting the raccoons out. That's a flat fee, and they say they won't go up even if they have to cut into a wall to get the out. The problem is, they won't go down either. The tech took raccoon scent (which you can find online for $7/bottle), sprayed it on a tennis ball, and threw it in my attic and told me to listen and let him know when they left. He then left, and the raccoon mama took her babies out that very afternoon. The next $495 dollars was for cleaning up the attic. At the end of the job, Cliff went up and removed, by hand, the feces and any other debris they left, and then sprayed an anti-parasite barrier on the existing insulation so it wouldn't make anyone sick. That took all of 30 minutes. The last $1100 was for sealing the attic so they couldn't get back in. This included putting a wire box over the attic fan, tacking up steel mesh over the attic gables, and fitting metal on my wooden crawlspace door, as they had been coming in there and climbing up a wall into the attic.

They were recommended by the Better Business Bureau. I have a contract with them and I pay them monthly. If they promise to show up between 12:00 and 1:00 they would actually show up between 12:00 and 1:00. If they are running late they would call up and inform me. They would say they would be running late by about 30 minutes or would reschedule for another time. That's a plus.

Overall, I have been displeased with my experience with this company. Shortly after moving into our house we discovered the attic had rats living in it after one had apparently died, creating an extremely foul odor. We contacted TruTech Inc. and were quoted a price of $379 to remove the dead rat and rid the attic of any remaining rats. Given we had just moved here from out of state, money was tight, so I asked several times to confirm the quote and several times was told that $379 was the cost. When the technician arrived, she went into the attic, set a few traps, never found the dead rat that was causing the odor and then presented me with two bills, one for $379 and another one for $660 for a year-long contract to put out rat bait stations. I told her I wasn’t interested in a contract and she said “if you don’t sign it, I’m going to remove all the traps from your attic.” Begrudgingly, I signed it because at this point I felt stuck—the house stunk, I couldn’t run the air conditioner because of the smell, and my family was miserable because of the heat (summer in south Florida). Several months later I called the TruTech office in Georgia, where they are based, to try to discontinue the $60/month service due to financial hardship and was led to believe they would cancel it. A week later I get a call from a District Manager who tells me that I’m in a contract, there is no option for cancelation, and if I don’t continue paying it, they will send it to collections and then he tells me “and you know what that means.” He then hung up on me. I recognize that I signed a contract with TruTech (which I regret) and will likely have to see it through, but I was floored that this manager actually threatened my credit rating and then hung up on me. Bottom line: I asked several times before authorizing the technician to even come to my house what the total cost would be. She NEVER mentioned anything about a service contract until AFTER going into my attic and doing the work, then threatened to un-do her work if I did not sign it. Then her manager threatens my credit and hangs up on me when I attempt to cancel the contract. If you call this company, BE SURE to ask if there are any service contracts and BE SURE to ask to see any paperwork BEFORE you let them start work. Although they did resolve my rat problem, I would not hire this company again for the reasons mentioned above.

Very satisfied. The True Tech Rep came out and gave us an estimate. He explained the types of pests, the laws around removing them, the time schedules and what had to be done to remove them. We decided to go with them instead of another company. When the work began, everything was explained in detail 'before' it was done. The traps had to be checked daily and the True Tech rep worked around our work schedules to make the checks. He was professional and proficient, but also personable. All our expectations were met and I would recommend this company to anyone needing pest removal.
Description of Work: We had squirrels in our attic and bats over the front entrance of our home. Both pests had caused damage to the home via their entries which in turn caused much repair work to be done to the home to prevent the pests from returning.

I called on the weekend and got what was probably a regional or national call center. They took my information and paged David. He called back within an hour and after asking questions about how long the bees had been there and what they were doing, made an appointment to come out to my house. It could have been a swarm that was on the move and would go away on its own (not the case in my situation) and I appreciated that he let me know that. He arrived right on time on the scheduled day and got to work. After he was done he told me that he'd have to come back again the following day for a second treatment to make sure he got them all. He was again on time the following day, and there was no extra charge. He spent over an hour up on the ladder and was extremely thorough.
Description of Work: David from Trutech removed a colony of bees and sealed the entry point to the soffit where they were building a hive. He also removed several wasp nests from the gutters, and a bird's nest from a downspout, all very high up on a two-story house.

I called their phone number at something like 3:00 am one morning after hearing a critter in my house. A REAL PERSON answered the phone and scheduled an appointment with me. Later that day, I was contacted by a wildlife biologist who arrived at my home, fully prepared to take care of the problem. I signed up for their monthly maintenance program, and have been more than 100% satisfied ever since. No critters, no bugs, no worries!
