He is a very, very nice guy. His work has been really great. He keeps the job site is very clean. He is awesome.

I had quotes from seven Tile & Marble installers. I chose John for his professionalism and attention to detail. He seemed to be extremely quality oriented and pointed out particulars of the install that others missed. He made very good recommendations that enhanced the overall outcome of the install. The price he quoted me I thought was fair, until the project was completed, then I realized how inexpensive he was. He went the extra mile. The quality of the work he preformed was that of a perfectionist, an artist. called john I was in my home in the Catskills in upstate N.Y. for the summer months I told him I was coming down to Florida on the 18th of august we met on the 19th he started the work when he came in the door he was on time very clean aware of the dust that was going to be made from the cutting of the demolition of the floor tile. could not ask for a better experience I my self am in the sale of closeout floor covering for fifty years with several crews of installers working for me trust me this guy was tops in his field cant' be any more pleased. John initially came out and surveyed the work to be completed to correct issues from another installer. He provided an agreed upon written estimate and advised that he would not be able to begin immediately and would work me into his schedule as soon as an available appointment opened up. I waited approximately 3 months but it was well worth the wait once I saw the quality of the completed work. He arrived timely on the 1st day and worked to remove the old tile and reset the pitch so that the floor would drain properly. He returned the next day and carefully set and grouted the area. He was meticulous and was especially concerned with the floor pitch as he didn't want any drainage issues. He also resized the marble caps on the shower sill so they would sit flush with the opening to accomodate a frameless enclosure and regrouted the shower, tile backsplash in the kitchen and shower surround in the guest bath. The shower floor now looks beautiful and has no drainage issues.

John was very professional and honest. My patio has some serious settlement cracks and even though he said he could do the job, he was worried the settlement cracks may get worse and ruin the new tile job, so even though he said he'd find out if there's a good solid solution, he suggested I try doing something else that couldn't be ruined by the settlement cracks in the future. I will definitely use him when I renovate my bathrooms and indoor tiles.

As soon as we met John we knew that we wanted to hire him for our job. He was punctual, respectful and organized--John Perry is very down to earth and an absolute professional. He truly cares about the quality of his work and wants to do whatever it takes to please his client. I strongly recommend him for any tile job that you are looking to do. A++++++++ We decided to redo a small 7? x 5? bathroom floor in a high quality travertine marble and on the shower floor travertine 1?x1? mosaic tiles. The shower floor has a steep pitch to it, so we had to select tiles that would conform to the floor. John helped us select the right tiles for the application. After meeting John, we decided that we wanted him to also remove a built-in vanity and sink, chip up our old tile, and remove and replace the toilet that was tiled in place. This was no easy task, and for a ?tile guy?, John didn?t show any hesitation to get started with the non-tile work. About 2 weeks after our estimate, John began work. Within 3 days, the vanity was removed, tile was chipped up by hand, old terrazzo floor was cleaned and prepped, new marble was laid down beautifully and symmetrically just as I had suggested. The shower floor was tiled over the old floor and a drain extension was used to finalize the install, giving it a seamless, high quality look. John sealed the shower floor for us as well on a same day request, and then the complex toilet I bought went in. Again, for a ?tile guy?, John sure knew what he was doing, because that toilet (the American Standard Clean Cadet 3 with the smooth sides from Lowes) is not a typical install. The finished product looks awesome. I just finished painting one of the walls and accent pieces an earth tone to match the movement in the tiles, and it really blends in nicely with John?s clean work. How refreshing it is to get an in-home estimate a few days after making a phone call, have the same guy come and do the work two weeks later, and finish it in three days at the exact scheduled times without any haggling, stress, or mess. Congrats John, no wonder you are rated so high on Angie?s list!

John did a great job of installing a tile back splash in our kitchen. The work looks great. This is the second job he's done and both times we have been very pleased. I recommend him.

John was a fantastic find. We hired him on the basis of his reviews; but he was better than we expected. John is extremely professional. That is, on time, always pleasant, meticulous with his work, clean, organized, mindful of his customer's property and belongings, happy to take on a challenge. He paid great attention to detail and to our satisfaction. We did run into a surprise in that the level of rust damage required a full rebuild of the semi wall, which required hiring a drywall framing contractor in short notice (that was a challenge) and in the end it was a referral from John that squeezed us in between jobs to repair the wall and minimize the time our overall rebuild had to be on hold with the shower torn down already. Our bathroom looks fantastic. Beyond doing great work, we found John to be a great person. He was a joy to have in our home. He kept his work area neat and organized so that the part of our bathroom that was not being worked on always remained usable at the end of his work day. He kept his final price to his original quote cap, even though he ended up having to work extra. This is not to say that someone else may not do it for less (specially if using sub contractors etc), but he earned his pay and I know exactly who my money is supporting. We highly recommend John to anyone looking for tile work and we would happily hire him again in the future. If there is one downside to working with John is that he is getting so much referral business due to his great work, that it can take a bit to reach him and he can have a lead time to schedule the work. I needed to repair/replace my entire master bathroom tile and rebuild the shower pan due to a long standing leak. I found Tile by John Perry through Angie's List to install the tile. A major plus, before John even started the work, was that he worked by himself and that kind of accountability, especially in tile installation, is rare. I spoke to him on the phone and we made an appointment for him to see the job. While there was a delay in the start of my job because he was currently on another project, once he was able to start he was fully dedicated. He did a fantastic job installing my bathroom tile despite the quirks of my 60 year old home. My wife and I are very happy with the results. In my vast personal experience of dealing with contractors (I've had two homes that have undergone extensive renovations over the past 7 years), John was the most professional in his level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. As a homeowner, you want to work with contractors that care about the quality of work as much as you do - and John clearly believes that the quality of the work is a reflection of him and his exacting standards. If you require tile work in your home, and demand exacting quality, I highly recommend John Perry. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the results.

I found John Perry an Angie's List. I read all of his reviews and I have to say they were all on target. He did an excelient job and my husband and I are very happy with the end result. My cousin has already hired him to work on her house and my other cousin just took his card and is now tile shopping. What I liked about him was how he came in and really took the time to measure and evaluate the job needs. He gave us a very fair price and he could start immediately. He told us how much tile to purchase (which again he was spot on) and he provided everything else. He was very neat, very polite, a really nice guy. I would recommend him in a heartbeat. I might need to get more cards off of him. Everyone that comes into my house is asking for his phone number.

We removed the carpet, pad and tack strips in the room prior to the installation appointment. The hardest part of the job was coordinating schedules with John due to our work travel and the holidays. John arrived on time and as scheduled. He reviewed the room condition and inspected the tile; then he discussed the options for installation pattern. John spent most of the first day meticulously preparing the surface for tile. He cleaned, washed, scraped and leveled the floor. After the leveling material dried for a day or two he came back to install the tile and grout. John is precise, careful and does a beautiful job. He is very careful about setting up his work area and cleaning up at the end of each day. The price was as expected and quoted. We will use him again for similar work.

We had an excellent experience with John Perry. He responded quickly to our initial contact and scheduled an estimate within a few days. I travel frequently and was on a time to complete a three room renovation in our home. John was able to meet my schedule demands in order to line up painters, electricians, etc. in order to finish the project on time. I appreciate that so much!! Thank you, John. Great tile job. We discussed the job beforehand to clarify details and John had many knowledgeable suggestions that were clearly explained. His experience, insight and degree of skill all resulted in an outstanding job. The quality of work is excellent. As a meticulous tradesman myself I would recommend John. He's a real tile setter pro at reasonable rates.

A+++++ From Start to finish, this job could not have gone any better. John right from the start was very confident, knowledgable of all the technical aspects as well as the best materials to use. We hired him to install tile in our shower and bathroom floor and we were grateful that he was willing to work with us and help us through some of the many decisions needed to end up with a beautiful tile installation and John did just that. He gave us suggestions about different approaches to instal the tile which was very very helpful coming from someone with his experience level. Without question every suggestion was spot on and ended up in a perfect job and the layout was beautiful. Because of his high quality of work and attention to detail, he had 6 months of work scheduled before he could start our job and I will say now: IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT. We are so happy with our new bathroom. He will be the only one I hire to ever do tile work for us no matter how long we have to wait! John feels our happiness and satisfaction with the job comes first and that is rare to find nowadays. He did a great job. He was very detail oriented, professional and thorough. He returned and dealt with anything that I wanted. He was accommodating. He came back even though he is a really busy guy. The hard part with John is getting him because he is so busy but he is worth it. If somebody wants really meticulous detailed tile work, I would wait for somebody like John.

John was referred to us by an architect friend. His price was fair, he did a great job and finished on time.

John Perry returned our phone call within 24 hours and came to the house to give us an estimate. His price was very fair and his work was flawless. He is a very skilled and diligent worker and always professional. I would definitely used his services again.

I first contacted John in June of 2012 as a consequence of the excellent reviews he received from satisfied customers on Angie's List. John was very forthcoming and stated that due to his schedule, he would not be able to start on my project until October of 2012. Based on my interviews and estimates received from other contractors, I made a decision to wait until John was available. The decision was the right one. The project was successfully completed and looks fantastic! John takes pride in his work and has a great work ethic. I found him to be honest and reliable.

John Perry was to provide a quote for shower tile work for my Lake Ridge home. Did not show up. I am making this update because my property manager for the property John Perry was to show up for made an error in recording the appointment date. Very sorry about the miscommunication and will update my review as appropriate

We had been looking for someone to tile our back covered patio for some time. Even with the high unemployment rate here in Florida other tile installers did not respond to our calls or did not show up. So we decided to try Angie's list. We read several reviews on various companies and decided on John Perry. We called and left a message. John promptly returned our call and made arrangements to come by. At the arranged time and date we met with John and he gave us a written estimate. He advised us it would be 4 to 5 months before he could perform the job due to the large amount of work pending from Angie's list customers. We still had preparations to do on our patio so we agreed. It was well worth the wait. John Perry is prompt, professional, friendly and a perfectionist. We would not hesitate to call him for any future tile work and would recommend him to any of our friends and family

John Perry came out to see what the job looked like. He actually rearranged his schedule to match mine. He was on time, courteous and knowledgeable. He gave me a very fair price, but said that I would have to wait until he had an opening, maybe a few weeks. Part of my job was to provide the tile, so I went to Home Depot, got the tile for the wall and the flooring. Then I called him to let him know that I had the tile ready to go in case he had an opening, and within a week or so, he called with an open day which was good for me. He based his price on a day's work, but when I had to leave for work at 4 PM, he just said he would come back the next morning and finish it up, and that's exactly what he did. He did a great job for a fair price, and he was a pleasure to have on the job. I highly recommend him to anyone in the area looking for tile or marble work, or whatever else he does, because he's a good man. PS. He never asked for a deposit, just a check when the job was completed. Couldn't have asked for a better experience on this project.
