Description of Work: We had a storm and a surge blew out my dishwasher and they came out and fixed it. They replaced the CPU in the dishwasher because it got fried.

Description of Work: Service rep was knowledgeable about the problem we had--ice buildup on the bottom of the freezer. He had the replacement part on the truck and fixed it promptly.

Description of Work: Diagnosed our noisy refrigerator. The compressor was the problem, however he said it could go on working just fine for years. The cost to repair was not worth it. He leveled the ref and said it may help with the noise (and it did.)

Description of Work: They were called for an estimate to repair a dishwasher. The cost to repair was too much. I bought a new dishwasher. However, the contractor came out on time, and answered all of my question.

Description of Work: They fixed my clothes dryer. The dryer ended up breaking again a few months later (different problem). I wish they would have advised me honestly to just replace the dryer. Instead, they boasted about the lifetime warranty on a twenty year old dryer. I now have a new dryer.

Gave me an estimate, but unfortunately, my dryer required quite a bit of work to get it functional again so I ended up getting a new one rather than repairing this one. | |The technician looked for opportunities to safely reuse/repair certain parts of my dryer rather than saying that they needed to replace everything. The most expensive part could not be salvaged so I just used the angie's list deal and then opted to replace rather than repair the dryer.

Description of Work: The $88 is for a diagnostic service call. Ruben was very nice and knowledgeable. He even called ahead of time to provide an arrival time. | |The estimate cost to replace a defective Generator Housing board in mu 4 yrs old Frigidaire Hybrid Induction Cooktop FPEC3085KS is $969 (part costs $800 with tax). I paid $1,200 for the cooktop so it is not wise to pay so much for the repair when the warranty only covers 1 month on labor and 30?90? days on part.

Description of Work: Original problem was dishwasher was not pumping or releasing water. I troubleshooted myself a week prior and replaced the motor with attached somber and pumper. | |The gentlemen that they sent was really nice and professional. However, after few hours he could not find the problem even after calling his colleagues for help. Maybe after 3 hrs he ran into an original manufacture diagram that was attached to the dishwasher. At that moment, that's when he noticed a small ball was missing that float or level the water during pumping mechanism. We order the part for less than $10 and three days later he came and put it in. | |My point is, though I was happy with his professionalism and character, the company should not have charged me close to $200 for not having the knowledge of correct troubleshooting process or steps. My suggestions to them, have an idea what could be wrong if a customer says ABC is not fucntioning; rather, coming out and trial and error troubleshooting scheme like me. My two cents. |
