Satpro Atlanta & Atlanta Digital TV

I'm a 64 year-old engineer who knows enough about RF to be dangerous as it's not my field of expertise. I had done some homework though, and had a rough idea of what I needed. Ed Carson of Satpro Atlanta & Atlanta Digital TV picked up when I called and wow, what an amazing expert. Ed answered all my questions and even answered some I hadn't even thought of yet. If you want the most experienced, friendly, knowledgeable and just downright best experience anywhere, call Ed. They don't come any better!

Great service. Came to reattach antenna, but ended up having to take down and relocate. Made sure everything was working - including helping reset TV remote. Very professional, great customer service and fair pricing. I definitely recommend!!

Ed was very punctual, professional and thorough. He's a real expert and explains things a little to fast for my aged mind but he was patient with me (I am technologically challenged!) and followed up when I had a few questions.

My mom's neighborhood is particularly bad for receiving OTA signals from Atlanta. Ed could see that right off the bat, but he did some research and determined it might work. The price quoted was fair but ultimately my mom decided to not get the antenna installed. However I would not hesitate to hire SatPro if we need his services in the future.

Good. But weather conditions and other atmospheric situations create occasional problems and reception varies.

He sent me an estimate. I said ok but I had a few question about whether he carried insurance. I haven't heard back from him. If he contacts me again, I might hire him. Not sure though.

I was looking for someone to remove an old satellite dish. Although Satpro was out of my area, Ed was extremely responsive via Angie's List messaging and was willing to work something out if he was on my side of town. I really appreciate the responsiveness and think it's a good indicator of the professionalism I could expect. $125-$175 depending on distance he'd have to travel.

It went perfectly. I've dropped cable and now I have 78 channels with the most gorgeous picture I have ever had on my TV's. It was 95 degrees that day and my AC went out, he also took my vacuum into the attic and he removed the water in the pan for the time being so my AC will work.

My tech savvy son advised us to drop our costly cable TV service and move to a much cheaper and better system of internet TV. That was fine EXCEPT that conversion does NOT include a lot of the local channels. I bought 4-5 heavily marketed antenna systems, all of them proclaiming great TV reception for local channels and NONE OF THEM worked very well. I installed them on each of our 3 TVs - much to my disappointment...and expense. Our 3 TVs would freeze while buffering, some channels worse than others, and it was impossible to enjoy TV. I finally called Ed Carson at SatPro Atlanta Digital TV. He works mainly in the northern area of Atlanta but gave me and estimate that included travel time to Stockbridge and said he could come down this way if I was willing to wait until he could make the service call. I had researched SatPro Atlanta Digital and after reading of Ed's experience and credentials, I decided I'd just wait until he could come down my way. He came out yesterday and it was abundantly clear that he knew PRECISELY what needed to be done and he did it. Frankly, I was amazed at the depth of his knowledge and expertise. He installed a quality TV antenna, tuned, adjusted, and tweaked it until we now have OUTSTANDING reception on about 90-95 TV channels - most of which I never knew existed. The freezing and buffering problem has disappeared on all 3 TVs and picture quality is excellent. Yes, I spent some money, but I will recoup that in about six months of savings over what I would have spent if I'd stayed with the cable company. I definitely recommend Ed Carson!!!

Look no further! You MUST use SATPRO Atlanta Digital TV for your antenna installation. Let me tell you why: On 6/29 after a couple of emails and forwarding pictures of my flat roof (which I thought might be a problem for antenna placement), I was able to schedule an appointment the following afternoon with Ed Carson. The job entailed antenna installation and connecting 4 TV?s via existing cables/connections. He was on time, very friendly yet professional, and started working immediately. He had already scoped out the tower locations and elevations in relation to the house and was quick to determine exactly where the antenna should go. I was concerned about all the trees interfering with reception, but Ed got every TV ?with very clear reception I might add- all the channels available in the Atlanta market. In just a few hours I had FREE TV! Now for the ?Above & beyond the call of duty?: Ed brought to my attention a potential fire hazard that did not have anything to do with his installation. He showed me a cable that was not grounded which happened to be the Comcast internet cable. This cable had live voltage coursing through it from the street connection which could cause a terrible jolt to anyone who touched it or worse, spark a fire. I am very grateful to Ed for bringing this to my attention. (It was repaired by Comcast 7/8). Last, but I think the best part, was the bill-I could not believe how reasonable it was-I even had to ask him if he was sure it was correct! It is so nice to know there are still people that you can depend on to do their job. I was fortunate to get one of those people. I would recommend Ed and his company to everyone!

.Anybody who knows DirecTV knows the drill -- great programming, terrible in-home service. I started out trying to install Genie. I have seven receivers (we like television) and a dish on the roof. The Company-approved subcontractor installer from a company called MasTec actually cancelled on the way to the appointment, after the company had confirmed it at least three times. Having gone through this run-around before, I gave up. Found SatPro on Angie's list. The owner, Ed Carson, came out the same day. First, he went on the roof and examined the dish -- I did not need a new one. Second, he asked me what I wanted to do -- which was to be able to record multiple shows at the same time and have a common playlist shared by different receivers. He said what I really needed was a service called Whole Home -- no new equipment, and $3 a month. Using the different DVRs, I can record six shows at the same time, and they all go into one playlist, which I can access from any DVR. I say that because Ed took the time to understand my needs, not just take the money and get out as fast as possible.. (If you're thinking about Genie, check out Whole Home first.). He was here for about three hours, installing the needed connector at the box, and synching all DVRs to the box, and with each other. I know from experience, DirecTV installers would never spend that kind of time on one call. There were the usual number of surprises. He worked through them patiently, using is total command of the DirecTV system. He also took me through using the system. He's such a perfectionist, he even adjusted the color, tint and ratios on the televisions. My advice: if your DirecTV needs involve more than plugging a receiver into the system, call Ed. Nice guy, extremely knowledgeable, and totally service-oriented. You do have to pay for that. But the job is done quickly and done right.

As the other reviews stated, the service was EXCELLENT! I submitted the request for quote on the website, then I received a very detailed email with some predictions about what he could do. He was very honest; my prediction was "fair". He offered to come out and evaluate for a cost, and if I wanted to proceed, then I could go with the package price. To both of our shock, he was able to get all 70 channels to come in with his antenna! I would like to mention that he first tried to make our existing antenna work...he went on the roof and moved it in several locations, then tested the signal strength at each location. Then he tried it again with the antenna that we recommended for our location...moved it around until he found the best spot, then positioned it in a place that was not noticeable from the street (without impacting the signal strength). Before we called SATPRO, my husband did all his research, he read articles, saw videos, and attempted to install. It worked on some channels, but not very many. As another reviewer stated, DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME! There are not enough articles out there that can arm you with the knowledge that Ed has...he literally knows the location of every tower, the strength, and which ones are the weakest. He will test your signal based on the weakest signal to ensure he has the right equipment. Additionally, he will spend as much time needed to ensure you know how to also view TV on your computer. Although $400 is a little pricey, it will pay for itself in 3 months - well worth it! Now I get 70 channels for FREE!! Very, very happy with the service and Ed's professionalism. THANK YOU! Great experience! I wanted an antenna set up. He was able to set it up in my attic, place it so I received ALL the stations in the greater Atlanta area (70!), and wire to the televisions in my house. He also took time to show me resources for getting more content via the internet (in addition to the Roku box I was using). The price was very reasonable, and he was fast and efficient. I highly recommend.

He did an excellent job. He called me and emailed me ahead of time, to find out what the best solution would be. By discontinuing my satellite service, I'm saving a large amount each year and yet still have computer access to all online free tv with no ads and can get all the local channels on my TV via the antennae.

It went GREAT! I had previously self-installed OTA antenna and hardware with mixed success. Ed is a master at optimizing OTA reception; I should have called SATPRO months ago and avoided the frustration. I went from 12 stations (many of which were marginal) to 52 free OTA channels.

I can't say enough positive things about Ed and the service he provided. Ed installed an antenna replacing an unused satellite dish on my roof. He assured that a good signal came through on two televisions, including one with TiVo. In addition, Ed took the time to adjust the settings on my TVs and demonstrate a variety of web sites. Great job! I would highly recommend.

esponded My daughter and I ditched cable a couple of years ago and installed a small omnidirectional TV antenna (on the roof - mast attached to chimney - yes, we did it ourselves). Recently, the antenna started giving up the ghost: channels were dropping out and the ones that were left were pixilating pretty badly. I searched online and found SATPRO Atlanta - and searched Angie's List for reviews. SATPRO was the only company I could find that installs antennas in the Atlanta area. I emailed Ed who promptly responded. He researched our address and provided recommendations and a very reasonable cost estimate. This step is very important - not every site is suitable for good reception and Ed will tell you the truth about your location's capabilities and what to expect. As it turned out, our site was good so we set up a date and time for the installation. Ed was right on time, took down the old set up and installed the new antenna - between the installation and taking the time to talk with us, time on site was about 2 1/2 hours. Once again, we have free TV - only so much better than before - lots of very clear channels!!! Ed is extremely knowledgeable, really personable, funny, and plain fabulous (we had a great chat!); and he made sure everything was working exactly right before he left. I highly recommend SATPRO Atlanta if you're looking to ditch cable.

There aren't a lot of people in the Atlanta area who do that kind of stuff. He had a good review on Angie's List and he was available.

I contacted the company and left a message. Ed, the owner returned my call and explained my options. We set an appointment for the following afternoon (2:00PM) He showed up on time and set up a temporary antenna. The channels recieved were perfect with excellent definition and color. He mounted the antenna, then went to where the TV junction box was located, He labeled all the room leads then re-checked the reception in each room. He added a new junction block as well as a signal amplfier. He scanned the tuners on all 4 TV's and made sure we were pleased. Outstanding! I now have HDTV with about 60+ channels in clear, crisp, quality for a ONE time charge of $530.00. No cable, No channel box, and NO MONTHLY CHARGES. One other suprise, the original quote from Ed was $600.00. I love it when a plan comes together.

Took several days for a return phone call and ema requesting info, and then said I had to visit a site to get on his list and wait another few days for contact...didn't seem interested in my business...
