Chris C came out with the sales pitch and covered all the basics. I had questions, after interviewing other companies and he promptly returned my call and definately answered my questions to my satisfaction. The following week Chad and team came to wrap my home and repaired the hole in the roof. He set six traps . The following week Mason came to check traps and then again this week to remove them. Problem solved. No more parties over my head and I feel secure that I made the right choice. They were professional, knowledgeable, and courteous at every turn. Definately a referable company.

My technicians Bin and Earl were great! They literally came to the house started working immediately, even through in the rain, which they insisted wouldn't slow them down. They agreed lightning would be the only deterrent though 😅. They were professional, knowledgeable and courteous. Bin returned for my weekly checkups and was pleased to report to more pests. I would highly recommend this service. Ask for Bin!

The treatment seemed to be thorough, and we have not seen any more bees. The price was fair, but the girl who gave me a ballpark over the phone quoted the wrong rate. I specified removal with repairs, and she gave me the rate for removal without repairs. It was revised significantly upward when the tech arrived for an exact quote/first treatment. The 'repairs' really only consisted of some caulking and the trim needed to be painted afterward. I would definitely call them again for pest removal, but I would have the painter do the caulking next time.

We have a warranty for a period of time. We got two other quotes that were significantly higher. We had two other instances. The people who owned the house before us apparently had a significant issue and they blew insulation in to cover it up so it was not discovered in the home inspection. When these issues started popping out, we had squirrels try to enter in other areas. I do not know enough about squirrels to know if it is bad that they had to come back out or if it is normal. They are responsive. They come back out and I have a two year guarantee and then after that, I have to annually repurchase the guarantee. I have the repairman’s cell number so I am not going through the company. I text Carl directly and he is usually out in three days. So, his responsiveness is great. The thing they could do differently is to have the squirrels not come back.

Our yard man had been stung several times the previous week when he unfortunately found this large nest full of very aggressive hornets! (He is OK.) 1) After my initial call, within 15 minutes Justin Arnold called me to set up an appointment. 2) We decided on Thursday, 6/18 between 12:00 and 2:00. He said he would call if he could come by earlier. 3) Thursday morning, about 11:00, Justin called to say he could move the appointment up and be at my house by about 11:15. 4) Justin arrived as promised and immediately got to work and successfully removed the nest. 5) Justin was very friendly and professional. 6) The cost of this work is not cheap, but it is reasonable given the expertise and equipment needed, and the risk involved. 6) I give Rid-A-Critter 10 out of 10 in all categories. I will call Rid-A-Critter again for I am a very happy customer!

Complete bat resolution in attic and detached 2 story garage. They sealed both the house and the garage (EVERY crack and crevice). They put in one-way doors for the bats to escape. After several weeks (time for the bats to leave), they removed all the insulation, cleaned all the bat droppings and put in new insulation. This was a HUGE job and they resolved the problem completely. They didn't completely seal a few areas in the free standing garage, so the bats came back after a few months. When I called them to discuss, they immediately scheduled a job to re-do the work in the garage. To resolve it, they did the ENTIRE process again (after sealing the areas they missed), at no cost. Rid-A-Critter has a customer for life.
Description of Work: Rid-A-Critter did a HUGE bat removal job for me in 2012. I had thousands of bats in the attic and also in a detached 2 story garage. Their work was excellent, done on time, and professional. It was expensive, but similar to all the other estimates I got (not the highest and not the lowest). When the work was done, I had an option to get an annual renewable warranty ($195/year). The warranty covers all the work they did, and also covers dealing with any other issues with critters that they cover. $195/year is a great deal considering that they will do anything that needs to be done to ensure that I don't get any critters again and, if I do, they will resolve the issue. They didn't send me a renewal invoice in 2014. When I had my current issue, they honored the warranty and their glitch of not sending me an invoice. I paid for 2014 and 2015 and am under warranty again. Resolving the invoice issue was painless and handled very professionally. They are a very professional company. They do what they say, on time and great quality. I can't recommend them strongly enough for anyone with a critter problem.

The technician was very knowledgeable, friendly and polite. He treated multiple active carpenter bee holes around the facia and chimneys. He came back a week later to seal the holes with caulk. The bees disappeared almost immediately and have remained absent ever since. A little pricey, but the result was what we hoped for.

They did come out and complete the work after I posted a review on Kudzu and the company's Facebook page that got their attention. In my opinion their Kudzu rating is bogus; they are stocking the pond with fake reviews... again just my opinion. Still, look at the "reviewers" that write on their Kudzu listing, they all create their profiles the same day they post and never post anywhere else. Fishy. The office manager was extremely rude and condescending to me on the business' facebook page; she blamed me for the company's lack of follow up. Goes to show how they value their customers. I would NOT do business with this company again.

Hi, I'm not sure why this is coming up again now. Our supervisor Tim McDavid worked on this issue on 4/1/13 (2 years ago) and thought it had been resolved. According to Tim's notes on that day everything had been completed and ok. I'm sure we apologized 2 years ago and I apologize again today. We are not perfect by any means but we try had to be. When we mess up we make it right. Our A+ Better Business Bureau rating supports our company policies of doing the right thing. Sorry once again. Richard

Two men came and did the job in record time and came back a week later to check if we had any more animals come into the attic. They sealed up the last two outside traps they had laid the first week and checked inside to see if there were anything in the traps they had set. Nothing in the traps. Was very pleased with the job.

Service was outstanding and did everything that they stated in the contract. Technician has returned whenever called, usually same day. Calls when he is coming. Very effective service to date. Entire roof line and all windows and doors in 3700 square foot home with basement were sealed and checked for any openings including sealing the brick soffet area.
Description of Work: Checked for animals in entire house and sealed the roofline, gutter area, piping extrusions, windows and doors. and placed metal mesh over attic vents. Sealed attic inside and ridgeline and wall roof joint lines and dormers. Placed semi-permanent traps in all accessible attic areas. Personal technician assigned and provided personal contact information. One year service whenever needed for any critter inside the house. Checks traps at least weekly.

Jason arrived within the planned time frame......I had asked him to please call when he was on the way, but he didn't.....Fortunately, we were pretty much ready for him. Since we had been through this before (different technician), in the exact spot, we knew Jason would have to cut a hole in the wallboard between the studs. He removed three live baby squirrels. The mother had been coming in and out to tend to them, and she was not inside at the time. Because of the height of this location, the squirrels wouldn't have been able to get out. After removing the young squirrels, Jason checked out the point of entry (which we were aware of) and prepared an estimate on full treatment of our home which guarantees the work. However, $2500 (includes 10% Angie's List) is a large expense. We put in a call to our contractor who has done extensive work here, and he had his staff come and repair the point of entry for us. At this time, we feel that is all we need to do since it appears to be the only spot. My reason for "B" in professionalism is that the gentleman in the office whom I spoke with a couple of times seemed impatient and gruff. There was no "Yes, ma'am....No, ma'am".....This could be improved upon. Jason had a rather challenging job, and he did it.

I contacted them to set up an appointment 8am-10am approximately 4-5 days prior to my appointment as i was leaving for out of town. Explained that i had a hornet's nest that was above my roof line, in a tree branch. Drew (RAC employee) advised that it was no problem. That he had all types of ladders---and named about 3 different 6ft and higher & that he had a tool with reach that could simply remove it. On the day of the appointment, about 9:15am, i called him to confirm he was still on track---he surprisingly said "they've re-arranged my schedule, so i can't make it." I shared that i had come home from a trip specifically to make the appointment and asked that he at least CALL to say he was changing his schedule. Then..he said...OK, let me see if i can re-arrange my schedule and come now." Interestingly, he did which indicates he wasn't involved in any job that prohibited him from making his appointment with me in the first place. He showed up ....and then said "i can't safely remove this...i only have a 6 ft ladder" I asked..."are you saying you RAC can't do the job today---or can't do the job at all?" He replied "I can't safely do this job, i only have a 6ft ladder. " SO....He either lied on the phone while representing what the company could do given the multiple ladder heights, or lied onsite. He then told me to get a friend that could knock down the nest with a stick and spray it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SO...why couldn't he do this as a professional? His reply "i can't SAFELY do that"----but he recommended that i do it. I'd say this was just the employee, but he placed a call to someone at his company, and it apparently was a joint decision to lie.

Due to workers comp insurance regulations we can not place extension ladders on tree branches because its not safe. I am sorry for any inconvenience this has caused you. We did not lie, Drew does have all the ladders on his truck but he did not realize until now that company rules wont allow him to use them on trees/tree limbs because of safety concerns. I am the person that told Drew he could not do the job because it was not safe. The visit cost you nothing as you were not charged. Richard Adcock - President

I apologize for any inconvenience this caused you. Yes, Jeff was running late yesterday because he was assisting a customer who had bats in their living area which he did not expect (took much longer than planned for). On top of that he was in an area he had little to no cell phone service. Jeff did call you back when he was in a better area but he did not get an answer. I would offer to refund you money for the service but you were never charged for any service. Once again sorry for any inconvenience this has caused you. Good luck with the removal of your outside nuisance animals. Richard
