Description of Work: I had a fairly extensive electrical upgrade, including the replacement and expansion of our service panel, the installation of an 400' underground run and 100A daughter panel for a remote building, and the wiring of several new circuits. Ricky was very professional, was a pleasure to work with, and did a wonderful job. He has a talent for creative thinking and problem solving that allowed us to meet code requirements in a safe and simplified manner, as opposed to much more costly and complex routing solutions. Quality was top notch, and I will definitely refer future electrical work to him.

+ 0 moreVery well priced. Outstanding diagnostics. Able to identify issues with existing electrical setup and determine the best fix. Professional and courteous. Issues: Damaged my ceiling fan when re-installing the unit; removed sub-flooring but did not re-attached; damaged hardwood floors with attic ladder. I think Gallman did a good job overall and I would probably use again because Ricky is a good electrician that is fairly priced, though I think Gallman would be well served to be more careful not to create damage that homeowners have to fix.
Description of Work: Services performed included adding 3-way light switches, bath fans, and in-floor electrical outlets.

Description of Work: Ricky inspected the electrical system in my Condo and he had to go back several times. He was awesome it had to be inspected and he did all the contacting of all parties involved. I would recommend him to any one who needed an electrician

+ 0 moreHe was very friendly and cooperative. He didn't fix the bathroom light problems the first time, so I called him, and he came right back to fix it. He wasn't sure what he did to fix the fan, but he took it apart and put it back together. The overheating problem was then fixed, but then the light wouldn't work, and he fixed that on his second trip back, as well. He even called me later to make sure things were working.
Description of Work: He fixed some problems I was having with my bathroom lights and a ceiling fan that would overheat..

+ -1 moreVery well. Rick is very conscientious and skilled. He is a great troubleshooter. I often work as his helper on the jobs we employ him on ( I am a home inspector and this helps my professional skills). Able to do pretty much anything, he is very skilled and competent on the rewiring of older properties. He is able to work from a plan, or to just shoot from the hip and start working. He starts work early in the day and works until early afternoon. He is flexible in scheduling. His pricing is very reasonable.
Description of Work: Ricky Gallman has performed electrical work for us since 2000. Referred to us by another electrician (whose schedule was overloaded), he told us he and Ricky often worked together and took each other's overloads (no pun intended). In 2000 he changed out and upgraded our panelbox; in 2003 he completely rewired a rental property for us (a duplex); in 2005 upgraded our house wiring and wired an attic conversion; since 2008 he has been working on our slow renovation of an historic property. My partner, a landscape designer, has referred him to clients to install outside wiring and lighting. He is the only contractor that we regularly refer to others.

+ 0 moreHe works very organized and cleaned up after each day. Was very nice and pleasant and very knowledgeable and very capable of doing the job he performed. It took him about a week to do the work we needed. He started doing the job by mapping out all circuits and doing the homework needed before he just ripped into the panel. It was an asset having him work for my company and I would do it all over again.
Description of Work: Ricky did a service panel move in my company, He also removed 2 other panels and integrated them into the newly moved panel and did many electrical taps, junction boxes and other things that were needed. Installed new breakers in the panel for the new circuits. He also did many plug and light removals that we were no longer needed. Much of the work was performed in the attic space and in standing walls. There were some light switches after the move was done that needed to be consolidated so that was done also.

+ -1 moreThe electrician ran the cable from the tub to the ceiling and then to the opposite wall correctly, but he step over one of the fans in the bathroom and created a crack in the ceiling. Then, he cabled the controller wrong and did not tested. I had to later re-cable the controller because he could not come back during the next couple of days. I think he does ok work, but I would not be using him again.
Description of Work: Ran cable from an outlet on the opposite side of the room and install a heated tile controller.

+ -1 moreI reviewed Angie's List for electricians and saw that Ricky had all A's. I called him, explained what was happening. He immediately coordinated a visit with my daughter and corrected all of the issues during the first visit. He even made a return visit when using one of the computers kicked a breaker. It was determined that it was the computer and not the outlet. Ricky did not charge me for that second visit which he very well could have justified. There was nothing wrong with his work He was great and I will definitely use Ricky again.
Description of Work: Circuit breakers were kicking off whenever a hair dryer, computer, etc. was plugged into several different outlets. Two outlets in the master bedroom were not working at all. Ricky inspected the outlets and found one bad and found others that the original electrian had used the "quick connect" feature. As a result, many connections were loose. My daughter lives in my house in Atlanta with my 5 year old grandson. I was very concerned about their safety.

Description of Work: I've used Ricky twice. Professional, friendly, takes time to explain things. One time I called him and the solution was so simple he didn't even want to charge me...Not even for a house call! He's really a good guy. Would definately recommend and use again.

Description of Work: A tenant called and had a short in her dryer outlet. The outlet was sparking and she luckily turned all the breakers off. She had a baby and needed the power. I checked Angies List and saw that Ricky had a good rating and that he served the area. I called Ricky and he picked right up. He was on his way back to his shop and he told me he could be there in an hour. He was early actually. He quickly diagnosed the problem. He even came with me to the hardware store around the corner to pick up a new 240 outlet and installed it. Allt his great service for just $85! Wow. Very friendly and responsive. I will definately be calling Ricky again and letting my friends know I've got a good electrician to recommend.
