Bad due to dishonestly of technician.
Description of Work: Flood damage in kitchen area from faulty dishwasher, ruin a large portion of hardwood flooring. Insurance got involved, thus I went through the process of contacting plumber, water mitigation service and general contractor. Plumber, Caleb Iturrizaga, showed up on time and appeared to be professional and courteous (wife's comment). I arrived later and was informed that the problem resulted from a "pin-hole" in the rubber/plastic water supply line connecting the water supply to the dishwasher. I was okay with this and agreed that a metal braided line should be installed. Tech informed me that he would be installing a metal braided flood-safe type of hose(actually recorded on the invoice). During the install, I was a bit concerned about the lenght of the hose, and alerted the tech to this, but I accepted this small issue, as I could manipulate the install so that the lenght of the hose would not matter to the overall operation of the line. What I was concerned about was that I never saw that packaging of this "flood-safe" line, so this morning I took the line back to Home Depot and discovered that the tech had not purchased the "flood-safe" line ($27.00), but the basic short metal braided line ($15.88) and charged me $170.00 (minus $20.00 for being an AL member). Maybe I am a bit out of touch, but these issues matter to me....it's like paying for premium gas, but really only getting basic unleaded. I believe that you get what you pay for, but sadly in this case, I paid for something that I did not get. Don't think I'll be using their service, or recommending them to friends.

Overall they did a good job. They were very professional, punctual, respectful and polite. I would not hesitate to recommend them. I would have given them an A except that I think their prices are "more then a little" high.
Description of Work: Replaced three faucets, a drain stopper in a sink, and a trim kit on a shower head. It took one plumber seven hours to complete. The old fixtures were very difficult to get out, and he had to make a run to the supply store to get some parts for a small project I added when they arrived

Caleb had suggested I get the pipes updated for a long term investment on the home, replacing the steel pipes that were left in the home. Caleb was able to get the pipes replaced and the water pressure working at a great level so that the house was up to date and up to code. He even fixed some botched plumbing jobs done from prior to the purchase. He told me how to save money on replacing the sink in the bathroom by having me buy a vanity and sink at a great price at a chain store and then he installed it. He spent the time needed for the job to be done right. Even in an old bathroom he was able to not destroy the tile so we didn't have to call a tile guy into to fix the wall. We now know that our new home is not going to have plumbing problems for a long, long time based on his knowledge and suggestions. He even met me a week later to give me the compliance paperwork needed for Dekalb county so my water will not be shut off by the county. I would suggest this company for any level of work you need. When I told Caleb I could not afford to replace the older hot water heater in the home and do the pipes together, he was able to walk me through how to make the choices that made sense for us. I will always call these guys for plumbing issues that arise with our "new" old house.
Description of Work: I was given info on Plumbpros Plumbing Co info as a referral from my realtor while trying decide on my first home purchase. I called them and they were responsive to coming out and doing an estimate based on the home inspection I had done. There were leaks, poor plumbing jobs, and issues with water pressure from the home inspection. The plumber they sent out, Caleb Iturrizaga, was able to help me understand what work needed to be done on the home to make it a stable purchase. Based on the estimate, we bought the home knowing we could afford to fix the issues with the home.

Went extremely well from start to finish.
Description of Work: My hot water heater started to leak. Plumpros came out immediately to assess the issues. In short it needed to be replaced. Additionally the old tank was not state compliant. Plumpros had a new system installed the following day including removing/disposal of the tank and bringing my system up to code. Harold was awesome!! Very well manner and professional. I will definitely be calling Plumbpros for all my future plumbing needs.

PlumbPros came out within 2 Hours of contacting them. We thought issues had been taken care of previously but they were not. We were moving in the next day and needed these minor issues resolved. PlumbPros did just that.
Description of Work: PlumbPros replaced washers on two faucets, one had a steady drip or stream while the other had a constant flow. They also replaced some piping in the other bathroom and cleaned out the piping where someone had poured some grout down the sink when remodeling.

We seemed to have a scheduling problem around the holidays which is very common. They are very professional and eager to please their customers. My tankless hot water heater was failing to heat the water to a high enough temperature. Their tech told me that they should be serviced very 1-2 years. The plumber who installed it never informed me of that. Their tech contacted another plumber who had dealt with Rheem's and they went through the check list on the phone while he had the water heater in front of him. He also read through all the material that I had on that model.
Description of Work: They serviced my tankless water heater. Technician worked very hard to make sure he had all the information he needed on my Rheem tankless.

The contact was all very professional. We set a time for them to come by and they called first and then arrived on time. They took special care and ware proectective covers on their shoes and were very aware of making sure that they repected all of my property. The 2 guys tested the drain and then went right to work on clear the slow drain. The explained exactly what they were doing and the results. They recommended a product to help keep the drain clear and free flowing for the future and then left everything exactly as they had found it. Other than the cleared drain, you'd never have know that workmen had been there. Both men were very friendly and professional.

Their quote was competitive and I thought Todd was personable, so I had gone with Plumppros. Also, their reviews here were very good. The actual repair went well. They by-passed my broken kitchen drainpipe and ran a new one to the crawl space. They also replaced two outside hose bibs which were leaking. During the repair, Todd also gave me some helpful info about my sewage system (septic tank), and the faucet, as well as insurance claim info. Todd and his assistant Caleb were pleasant and comfortable to be around. They left some dirt behind in the kitchen from their drop cloth (a dusty carpet), and old pipe fragments and work debris in the crawl space, all of which I was able to clean up myself. No big deal. I gave a low overall rating based on how some damage to my home was handled. Once they left, I discovered two 17 inch rips in my indoor/outdoor carpet on the porch, which was their path into the kitchen. I had worked out there before they came, so I knew the rips weren't there earlier. Plus, the rips had been neatly trimmed, and normally the loop carpet would leave a long string where it had been snagged. I contacted Michael Jordan, the owner, immediately, and sent a photo. He promised to check with the guys to see what had happened. He was initially responsive and professional, but as time went on (and the guys denied damaging anything), he got less professional. I would call the office, leave a message with the nice receptionist, and sometimes not get a response for a week and a half, despite repeated calls. Once I switched to emailing, the gap in response was often closer to two weeks. To give you an idea of how slow the response process was, I originally called on 1/27 (and sent a photo by email), but did not receive a check until 3/27. To be fair, there was probably two weeks or maybe three weeks in there where he was waiting for me to settle on what I wanted to ask for. (We had company, and I was unable to talk to my husband and settle on how much/what to ask for. I will say that this was NOT a gap of two to three weeks back to back, but cumulative.) Eventually, he agreed to a $100 payment for the carpet rip. This will not pay for replacement or repair of the carpet, but I can put it towards replacing it in the future. I was satisfied with this response, since my carpet is not expensive. Although it's been a year since the original work, I remember these details clearly since the process was very stressful. I also checked my email for the exact date when I first sent the photo and when the check finally came (I had emailed him asking politely if he had changed his mind, and the check arrived in the mail later that day).
Description of Work: Quality plumbing work; unprofessional follow through on damage to my carpet.

We could not get our toilet unclogged so we called Plumbro. The service technician came to our home at the appointed time and looked at the toilet and was able to get it to flush without doing any service to it. He also demonstrated the best way to use a plunger to unclog the toilet. He was very pleasant and helpful and he arrived on time. I would definately use them again.

Caleb Iturrizaga from Plumbpros was great! He gave us an estimate on plumbing the outdoor kitchen sink. The estimate was considerably less than another we'd received so we asked him to go ahead and do it. He had to go get parts for the kitchen sink and the master bath shower head (something we added as we were going along) and he called from the road to give us his progress. He accomplished all the repairs and offered to come back to finish some other things we discussed when he was here. He worked steadily, was very knowledgeable and very respectful of our home and our time. What a great guy and a great company!
Description of Work: We called Plumbros to work on a leaking kitchen faucet and to give us an estimate for pumbing a sink for an outdoor kitchen. We called on New Year's Day and received a call back with an appointment scheduled for 11 am on 1/2. The technician called that morning to ask if it would be OK to come earlier.

he experience with Plumbpros started very well. They were very responsive...even calling back on a weekend for a non-emergency job. The team arrived on time and even worked with us on an earlier schedule. However, we had several issues on site. They encountered several problems that required return visits. Some of the problems were as simple and not turning back on a water line or larger problems such as incorrectly installing the cloths washer feature causing an inability to wash clothes over the weekend. Most of the problems were the result of being in a hurry or lack of experience as they had two trainees on the job along with a seasoned plumber. On each return occasion, they were very courteous and tried to correct the issue promptly, which is why I originally felt I a might use them again. As a matter of fact, I did try to call upon them again for a friend who needed some commercial plumbing. They scheduled the visit and then called the day before to cancel stating they had been mistaken and did not have experience with this type of commercial work. This left my friend in a tough spot. He was on a deadline and now had to start over to reschedule a new plumber. I am sure Plumbpros like any company goes through a period of training new staff and associates to keep up with demand. However, I felt the receptionist scheduling the appointments should at minimum know the difference between a commercial and residential jobs and the company's capabilites in each. As well, the multiple mistakes and reasons for returns should have prompted a call from a supervisor or other recognition of the challenges. Therefore, I now have a lack of confidence in their services and will probably not call upon them again.
Description of Work: They were installing plumbing for a new sink and dishwasher, adding a ice maker line, installing a new connection for the clothes washer as well as tying in our gas line to a new island in the kitchen.

I was very pleased with Bill Scearce from PlumbPros. He was very experienced and quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. I would trust Bill to work on any future plumbing project. My only criticism is the price for the 2 hours of work and the parts. I may not be able to afford PlumbPros to work on a larger remodel project in the future.
Description of Work: Bill diagnosed the reason for a leaking pressure relief valve on the hot water heater. He found it to be due to high water pressure from a failed pressure regulator on the house water supply. He replaced the pressure regulator and at my request replaced the main shut off valve with a new quarter turn valve. He also replaced the pressure relief valve on the water heater.

On Christmas night my sewer line backed up and flooded a room in my basement. So the next morning I joined Angie's List and looked for a plumber. Plumbpros was one of the plumbers recommended on Angie's List and that is why I called them. I actually cancelled the call to have one of their plumbers come out - however Mr. Finnan had forgotten his phone so he was not aware of this. He showed up right on time. I kindly explained that I had canceled the call - he was kind enough to offer to take a look at my plumbing issue was and give me a free estimate since he was already there. He was completely understanding about having canceled the appointment. I also explained that I was considering trenchless sewer drain replacement. He told me that going the traditional method of digging a trench may actually be considerably less. I really appreciated his professionalism and his willingness to get right to work. So I decided to hire him and cancel the other plumber. He worked up a cost for replacing the line and also agreed to replace the water line at the same time for the cost of materials - something I thought was really nice to do since I have limited money for home repairs. He also said he would stop work at any time there was a question or if the repair would cost more money. He went ahead and snaked the line to see if that would work to solve my problem but it would not - I had known this. I have been having problems with the sewer line because of roots getting into the line for over 10 years. I knew it was time to fix the situation. Mr. Finnan got right to work. It began to snow the afternoon Mr. Finnan and his crew began to work on replacing the sewer. They had to deal with cold, windy days, rain and thick Georgia red clay soil that was turned into thick mud in the rain - it was miserable weather. Not once did they complain about it. It was not an easy job digging up the yard to locate the sewer joint. When they had to dig deeper - I was immediately told and given a new cost estimate. At that point I couldn't really stop the repair, but I did appreciate knowing the bill would be more. The job took several days and each night he did his best to make sure I had water and plumbing to use as needed. Mr. Finnan and his crew were very respectful and worked very hard to get the job done as quickly as possible. My house is over 50 years old - so needless to say it was not an easy job trying to complete this job - it took them 5 days and that is 5 days of back breaking work - digging, tunneling under a sidewalk, dealing with a broken water line and rebuilding a stone wall I have on the property that had to be moved to find the sewer connection. Mr. Finnan personally rebuilt the wall. It was the one part of my landscaping that I really cared about - so I was deeply appreciative of him doing that. He and his crew showed up early and left after it got dark - working by lamplight. He also left the bathroom where where the flooding started - cleaner than what it was when he showed up. He had to remove the toilet to snake the drain - so I expected that to be put back, but he also cleaned up the shower that had drain scum all over the floor and he hung the blankets I had put on the floor to soak up water, outside to dry out. I am deeply appreciative of the pride Mr. Finnan takes in his work. It showed in the final product. And the drains are running wonderfully. I would hire Mr. Finnan again and would definitely recommend him and Plumbpros to neighbors and friends.
Description of Work: I had my sewer line and water line replaced. This work also included snaking the sewer line to try to determine the issue for the back up. To replace the lines the yard had to be dug up and then put back in place - which included rebuilding a stone wall on the property and reseeding the lawn. The price was a lot for me. But it is probably an excellent price for the job. It was considerably less than I was quoted for the trenchless method.

Called for a minor plumbing issue and was able to get an appointment the next day. The guy called when he was 30 min out as promised and arrived on-time. He examined under the kitchen sink, found the leak, and determined he'd have to cut off the pipe to fix it. Wrote up an estimate on the spot and - once I gave an ok - headed to get parts and then completed the repair. Really professional, good pricing, and prompt service - wouldn't hesitate to use them for future plumbing issues.

Caleb showed up 45 minutes ahead of the scheduled time window start of 11:00, which MIchael did call to let me know - not a problem at all. He looked at the toilet in the bathroom above the leak, tightened a few bolts on the tank, and flushed the toilet a few times - no leaks after that. He provided me a free estimate for rebuilding the tank for $350, but thought that the tightening of the bolts should fix the problem for now - as this is in a guest bathroom that's rarely used, we decided to hold off on the rebuild for now. I asked how much I owed him for his time and the quick fix to the toilet tank, but he said it was part of their free estimate policy, which I very much appreciated and I let him know that. I will most definitely call Plumbpros again - bottom line was that they were very professional, courteous, and punctual.
Description of Work: On the morning after Thanksgiving, we noticed a leak presumably from an upstairs toilet down through ceiling light fixtures in the kitchen. I called Plumbpros right at 8:00 and was told that they could have someone out the same day between 11:00 and 1:00 and that if needed, any repair could also be done the same day.

Great job, great people. Very professional and reasonably priced.
Description of Work: I am a single female and I bought a new house in September 2012 in a new area (a good recipe for being taken advantage of). The next day after I moved in I had a faucet leak. Fun! I totally relied on Angie's List reviews when I called these guys for the first time (to be exact I called 3 different places and you would not believe the responses I got! One even told me that it is Saturday night and he is not coming because he had a life...yeh, I am not a bit exaggerating). PlumbPro replied the fastest, were the most courteous and did a great job. The representative showed up as promised (remember, it was late Saturday night), he was wearing shoe covers and had a business card ready. He was nice, knowledgeable, did not try to up-sell me a bit. I felt like I was getting a great service at a great price. He even cleaned around the sink after he was done! He charged me $100 for this job. Two weeks later my water heater broker (just my luck). This time, without even thinking twice, I called the same people. They did not let me down again. It was great from scheduling to the visit itself. They even give you a call 30 mins prior to the rep showing up. How's that for putting a mind of a freaking out home-owner at ease? The representative was very nice, courteous and even was honest enough to present me with different options (he remembered that I just moved and was not ready for a big financial hit). That really impressed me. The job again was done fast, he cleaned after himself and billed me reasonably ($275 for changing both heating elements, draining the tank and all that comes with it) I hope I won't have any plumbing disasters for a while, bit if I do, these guys are on my speed-dial:)

The toilets on the second floor of my home were clogged. And, one shower upstairs was slow to drain, and the other shower was leaking. I called Plumbpro late Friday afternoon, and Terry and Harold arrived early Monday morning. They used a camera to find the clog, and explained how they could remove the clog and fix the shower leak without cutting through my first floor ceiling to reach the pipes. The price was reasonable, and I agreed for them to proceed. Terry and Harold worked seven hours and fixed everything. Terry and Harold were professional, knowledgeable, friendly, neat, and meticulous. My upstairs bathrooms were so clean -- they were absolutely gleaming!!! Before they left, Terry also explained how the clog was formed and how to avoid it in the future. He also guaranteed the work. I am extremely pleased with Plumbpro, and I will use Plumbpro exclusively for all my plumbing problems.
Description of Work: Terry and Harold from Plumbpro unclogged both toilets on the second floor of my home. The attached vents in the first floor ceiling so the plumbing pipes are accessible without cutting through the ceiling, and they also attached a push-back in the main upstairs pipe.

My kitcen faucet was leaking and I had to disengage it. My sink had been inoperable for several months. I finally bought a new faucet at a home supply store. When I bought the new faucet I knew that I needed stainless steel/chrome and not pewter, etc but I did not consider the finish. Initially, I was angry because the new faucet I purchased (polished stainless) was a different finish than my sink (brushed stainless) because I felt that the plumber should have pointed out the discrepancy to me. However, although I still believe he should have mentioned the difference, I now realize that it's not so much of a problem. Overall, he did a good job replacing the faucet. It has worked with no problems. I would recommend Plumbpros to others.
