They do good work. They were the first company to actually identify the problem we had of root balls in our main line, although they took two visits to do it.

He had to make two runs to the supplier to get parts and one had to be special ordered for overnight delivery. He was prompt to come back and fix it. Then, we noticed the next day, a minor problem and they came back in less than 24 hours to remedy the problem. They handled it quickly and efficiently and we are happy with the results.

They had to refer me to another company because they don't have the necessary technology to search for the outdoor underground leak. They called 30 minutes before they arrived on time. He was very professional and a gentleman. He did what he was supposed to do. He gave us some blue testing tablets to test our commodes for leaks. He was very informative, knowledgeable and shown genuine concern. He suggested a few ideas on how to handle the situation. He gave us an approximate area and location of where the underground leak might be. I would do business with this company again based on this experience.

This is a great company. I highly recommend. I had two toilets rebuilt and various other plumbing fixture replaced or rebuilt. They consolidated two water heaters by installing a tankless system. Doing an inspection Richard found a major problem, the 50 year old cast iron piping related to the kitchen area was greatly deteriorated and almost completely clogged. I crawled under the house and saw for myself. So, unexpectedly, a major part of the house drain plumbing needed replacing. The brought in an extra person and work into the night to finish that part of the job. Came back the next day and finished the tankless system install. Richard, the lead plumber, clearly is a very talented guy. He is also extremely nice as were the other two workers. We have an indoor only cat. I have never encountered workers who were as careful about open doors to ensure our cat stayed indoors. They cleaned up everything better than I had expected.

This all started with a bad day: Clogged drain and a running toilet causing water to overflow out of our washing machine laundry drain. Ended up flooding our entire furnished basement with carpet and padding. Called PlumbPros (found on Angie's List) because they had over 5 years of Angie's Super Service Awards. Michael (the owner) was not initially available - well it was 7:00am ! - but within 10 minutes of placing my call, he had personally returned my call and we had scheduled a time for 11am, as his first shift plumber was already dispatched. This was fine with me. But as things work out, my job called and I got called out for an early morning technology call - which left me unable to be home when the plumber would be arriving - I called Michael, he was not stressed or worried about a thing, he just asked me to call when I was available and he would put me next in the queue. I finally wrapped things up, called Michael back, and he put me in the queue as promised. The plumber and assistant arrived right on time. Terry was the plumber, he is a Master Plumber and did an amazing job. He cleared my problem, provided excellent insight to ideas and projects for the future. He also discovered that the builders of my home had probably run over my main drain pipe (it's embedded in the concrete foundation) with a Bobcat or other heavy machinery. The reason was that there was a ~4" dip in my main line that causes some issues, as the water/waste never really leaves the pipe all the way, it remains in this 'belly'. I paid to have him run a camera down the pipe so we could see what the actual issue was. Although the problem is from the builders and the dip in my line, he completely cleared this up and explained to me how to keep it cleaned out as well. The work was assumed to be easy, but turned out to be a lot more difficult in the end. Terry and his excellent assistant stayed until the job was complete, and he was more concerned about it my satisfaction than I was. They stayed much longer than even they anticipated and I couldn't be more appreciative. They were very professional, clean, and courteous. I had a terrific experience with PlumbPros, and I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

All seemed well. Two plumbers arrived on time and a courtesy call was provided 15 minutes before their arrival. They both seemed to think that the job was not difficult. . .and could start very quickly. After receiving the written quote (itemized), "Richard" gave a verbal quote of $425 to set the fixtures (i.e., faucets and toilet) on a subsequent visit. He also offered a referral for another company to complete the additional work in our gutted bathroom (we had to fire our General Contractor due to dishonesty). At the end of our conversation, I asked Richard how long would it take to complete the work and he stated that it would most likely be 3 hours. . .but added no longer than four. So, based on my calculations he would be charging on average approximately $400/hour. This seemed to be validated by his quote of $425 to set the fixtures for the two sinks, tub/shower and toilet. As a side-note, my father (in another state) is a master plumber/electrician. . .and I never recalled his rates being that exorbitant.
Description of Work: Provided a quote to: "install customer supplied shower valve, move waterline for toilet (~6 inches), move water and drain lines for double vanity (~ 8 inches each)."

They were here for 3 and a half hours, they didn't wear the work booties, they said they didn't have what they needed for the repairs even though I told them exactly what was wrong before they came out, they went to lowes for the supplies and gave me a high estimate. They came back from lowes, decided they needed to put a vent under the kitchen sink after rearranging all the pipes under that sink. I am not sure if this was included in the original estimate or not because nothing was written down. At first they said the job was going to cost $1800 but when they realize the job was going to be more simple, they didn't lower the price at all. They charged me for 2 master plumbers and the big truck they used, even though we didn't need 2 master plumbers and the materials I needed weren't even in the truck. I called to complain about the price and they told me he would send me an email about a partial refund for $400 but I never received this email or the money. This job was really simple, I crawled in the crawl space myself and took pictures myself of the work. I think it?s difficult to understand how a three and a half hour repair, inclusive of a trip to Lowe?s, could justify a $2,400 repair bill. Our crawl space, while shallow, is covered with overlapping heavy plastic sheets. There was no previous mention of bacteria until the response to the review was submitted as presumably there is always some bacteria present when pipes are replaced. I feel they have exaggerated at every point.

The work done at this home was far from simple. We replaced some rotten cast iron drain lines in a two foot tall crawlspace. Having to do all of our work in bacteria infected waste that had been pouring into the crawlspace for who knows how long. We quoted a price before hand, did the work, charged the price quoted and customer signed off on it.

We offered a long term solution to this customers problem. We were going to cut out a bunch of cast iron drain pipe and replace it with PVC and give a long warranty on our work. When a one foot section of cast iron is replaced there will be more problems with the piping near the hole and this is like putting a band aid on the problem. We certainly could have replaced the small section of rusted out pipe but this wasn't a long term solution for their problems.

After noticing our front yard was getting muddier and muddier I called Plumbpros to have somebody determine if we had a busted pipe. I attempted to dig the hole myself, but after getting to the pipes I realized I need a professional to take a look. When the plumber arrived he had to drain the hole as it had rained and filled to the brim (plus the leak kept it full). After that, he had to do some more digging and had to clear out a bunch of roots to get a better look at everything. Then he finally had the ability to really inspect the area to determine the problem. It turned out to a busted valve for the sprinkler system that is installed in our home. We had never used this system as it was installed by the previous owner and didn't work when we moved in. The plumber told me he could fix it, but it would require removing the sprinkler system valves and just using new pipe (which would be quick and relatively cheap). However, he recommended I call an irrigation specialist to come fix instead as they could correct the valve and ensure the entire system worked. I really appreciated his honesty instead of just trying to fix it and charge me for work that wouldn't have been as good as the specialist I ended up calling and using.

Bill had tons of experience and clearly knew what he was doing. The work took longer than expected due to unforeseen problems arising (e.g., one of the parts from Home Depot was missing from the box, which required a return trip there), but Bill handled them like a pro and kept me updated with the status while sticking to his originally quoted price, despite it taking longer than expected (6 hours vs. an expected 3). My only quibble would be with the pricing of the original visit. For about a 45 minute diagnosis during which nothing other than identifying the problem was actually accomplished, I was asked for $229. A shocked look later, and I was offered a discount to get the price down to $129, which seemed not unreasonable, though not particularly a good deal. This diagnosis cost was deducted from the ultimate repair cost, so not a big issue either way, but it seemed higher than I would expect for what was purely a diagnosis.
Description of Work: Bill came out to my place twice, once to diagnose a leak, and then again a second time to fix it, which required replacing the entire valve in my bathtub, as well as adding a local shutoff valve so that next time the bathtub required service I wouldn't need to shut off the water for the entire condo complex.

After 5 days of total hassle dealing with Home Depot and Sears to try to get a water heater installed, I gave up on them, subscribed to Angie's List and found Plumbpros. I called them after hours and they returned my call that same evening. By 10:45 the next morning they had completed installation at the price agreed on over the phone. Plumbpros' price was higher than Sears' initial estimate. But the value was in the no-nonsense, professional service. It was fair value for the money.

Working with Richard at Plumbpros was such a relief. After having called around several places for estimates, I was frustrated by either extremely high estimates from some companies or the failure of companies to show up and do the work they had estimated. Plumbpros was the first company I called that was truly responsive. When I spoke with him late in the afternoon, Richard was able to estimate the work immediately based on a phone conversation and photos. Based on the many other companies I had called, I knew the price was reasonable. Early the next morning, he bought the water heater and showed up at my house at the agreed time. The work was complete even more quickly than he indicated it would be. He charged me the price we discussed the day before. If I had only called Plumbpros first, replacing my water heater could have been a painless process. I will call them again when I need a plumber.

Last Tuesday we set up an appointment for 9 AM the next Tuesday morning. They told me it would be an all day affair and so I took off of work to be home for the appointment. I was also told that they would be coming by a few days before to mark up the yard (show where the water lines, electrical, internet, etc lines were). I called Monday night to confirm my appointment the next morning and also inquire as to why someone had not come out to mark up my yard. I must have called after office hours because no one picked up... so I left a message. The next morning no one picked up and I left a second message. I called back an hour later (around 10 AM at this point) and I was told that the plumber assigned to my job was assigned to an emergency call that morning at 7 AM, so he would be late. They indicated there would be no problem with finishing the project same day. I called back around 11:30 AM and was told that the plumber was on his way, and there would not be a problem finishing same day, and there was no problem with not marking up the yard (even though previously they told me this was a necessary step). Around 12:30 the plumber showed up. He told me that he would not be able to finish same day, so my yard would be dug up with pipes exposed over night. I told him that I did not feel comfortable doing that. He did volunteer to come back the next day and complete the project in one day; however at this point I was upset at Plumb Pros process and the fact that they bumped by appointment back 3 1/2 hours and did not tell me correct information, so I told them that I would not be using their services. I have called a competitor and they will be coming by this Friday to replace my water line. Again, while I'm sure Plumb Pros would have done a fine job at my house, I would not recommend them if you are a working adult that needs their contractors/technicians to be on time. That is not this company's strong suit.
Description of Work: I called Plumb Pros to come out to my house and find a leak, which they promptly did in my waterline (street to house). While likely they could patch the line, the water line was very old and had never been replaced (house was built in 1955) so it was in my best interest to go ahead and replace the whole thing. The company was very thorough in answering my questions and as such I felt very comfortable with them. Because replacing a waterline is a large expense, I contacted a competitor to provide a quote. Plumb pros was slightly inside of the other company's quote, so I moved forward with Plumb Pro.

The toilet in my bathroom would continue to run after being flushed. When I would turn on the hot water in the sink, it would make a hammering noise. I contacted PlumbPros, and a man named Terry Finnan came to my house. He was professional, on time, and explained what he was going to do. Terry tested the water pressure and fixed my problems. I used the documentation that he gave me to inform my HOA that there is a problem with high water pressure in my building. I will use PlumbPros again if there is a need.
