Painting Plus

They did an excellent job. All work was neatly done, and looks great! The wood replacement was done very well. The new wood replacement in the door threshold was matched very well to the existing wood. Likewise for the work under the eaves, and the rake molding. The painting was done carefully, including especially the difficult brush work on the windows. All the painting was done to retain the original color scheme (3 colors), and looks really great! They did the work in 5 days, despite the fact that they had to stop early on 3 of those days because of rains. The supervisor was Anthony Dallavalle, and he did a fine job of helping me decide what wood replacement needed to be done, and then of supervising the job and of keeping in communication with me so I would know how they were progressing. I have only good things to say about his skill and professionalism. Also the skill and professionalism of the crew, who did really high quality work. The man who installed the storm door did a fine job also.

Anthony did the estimate, pointed out alternatives and gave me useful advice. His crew was on site for the work without him, but he returned to do a final inspection (and direct his crew to touch up some items I hadn't spotted). All very painless. My only criticism was a lack of communication when weather interrupted the work; I did not know day-to-day whether the crew would be on site. Work finished ahead of schedule and at exactly the quoted price, paid on completion.

Everything went well but the estimate was so far out of the range of the 4 companies we got estimates from that we didn't go with them.

Gary Williams is amazing. He was very attentive to our needs and over delivered on every aspect. I am absolutely 150% satisfied with the work of this company. I have used Gary in the past for other work and always been completely impressed, but he absolutely over did himself this time. We had 11 days to do about 20 days of work in our new house. The family had to move into a hotel while the work was being done. We were very anxious to get into the new home and could accept no delays. Gary promised that he would meet the timeframe and he did. We had 4 companies bid on the job and 2 of them backed out because they didn't feel they could meet the timeframe. As we were describing what we wanted, Gary was very attentive and was able to understand where we were going and what we were looking for. The final outcome was outstanding -- it looks amazing and was done right. There was one major problem -- when he built out the new walk in closet in the master suite, he bought a shelving system from Home Depot that did not meet our expectations. My wife was devastated when she saw her closet. When we approached Gary about the situation, without hesitation he said "I'll fix this". He brought out a closet system guy and had the old system removed and a new system installed. He had his drywall people come in and fix all of the holes in the wall. He didn't charge me a dime extra for any of this. His final price was nearly exactly what he quoted, even though we had a few changes along the way. He committed that after the job was completed, and after the furniture was brought in, he would have his painters come out to fix any scuffs or dings in the wall. Gary Williams and Painting Plus are our heros.

I waited 9 months in hopes that I would be able to write a better review about this company,however it is obvious that Painting Plus is not going to correct the numerous construction defects or honored their warranty.They did not install roofing material in accordance with building codes and manufacturer's instructions so I have no warranty through Owens Corning. Nails were driven at an angle which damaged shingles; excessive holes were made in shingles with improperly nailing. It took six months to get their roofing crew back out and the roof still has rotten deck boards, cracked shingles, missing shingles, leaks, many more noticeable discrepancies and several code violations. This is the second time I have used this company. The first was to redo exterior of house painting, windows and gutters. Went great! Had a leak in my roof this time and called them. They came out told me the best way to fix it. Had the lowest bid. But I probably would have still used them as I trust them from my last go around. GREAT company. I will use them again!!!

I had a great experience with this company and will probably use them again. I worked with Bryan, and he was able to complete my exterior painting in a timely manner. I was very appreciative that they were able to work with me since I lived out of the state of GA. I had a very excellent experience and the prices are great!!

Very smooth process. Roderick was one day later coming to the house to give me an estimate than he said he would be, but when i called to follow up, he was straightforward and we rescheduled and he was on-time. It wasn't an issue for me. He talked me through what needed to be done and it wasn't a hard sell process. I felt comfortable working with him to the point that I didn't feel like I needed to call other companies for comparison. The installer showed up as scheduled and actually recommended I choose a different color than I originally selected. That delayed the installation one day, but the new color looks good. I'm glad I took his advice. The gutters look great and I don't expect to have any issues. I wouldn't hesitate to use this company again.

From bid to completion, the entire process with Painting Plus was extremely smooth. After a very thorough walk around the home a detailed estimate was provided. Once I accepted the quote and decided to move forward with the project, the work was scheduled to begin promptly. The crews showed up on time and worked very quickly and efficiently each day. Communication with the project manager was very open and honest. Over the course of the project a few items had to be added (additional siding or trim boards needed to be replaced) and these additions were priced fairly. No payment was due until all work was completed. Today the house looks great. I would highly recommend Painting Plus for this type of project.

It seems the painters weren't up to par, and I had to supervise them constantly. However, the company was very professional and responded quickly to any problems that arose during the project.

Everything went well, and they did an excellent job. They responded quickly when I had an issue the next year which I really appreciated. The salesman, Kent, was outstanding, too.

Overall, they did a good job, however no one in the work crew spoke English which was very inconvenient because I had to phone the project manager several times. They also had to take a longer time than necessary because they kept making little messes around the house.

We contacted 5 companies (4 of them from Angie's List) to get estimates on the painting. One company was significantly cheaper than the others (due, I think, to misjudging the amount of carpentry repair needed), and another was significantly more expensive (due to wanting to do more carpentry repair than necessary). We dropped those two outlives. That left Painting Plus and two others. We had friends who had used Painting Plus and were very satisfied, so that sold us. Anthony Dallavalle was the Painting Plus representative who came out and gave us the estimate. He was very thorough and explained the process well. We called him back a few times before we made our decision, and he answered our questions very well. Anthony kept us in the loop as far as when the work would begin, what would be needed (such as leaving the garage open when they would need it), and what would happen next. There was a slight delay when we had an unexpected cold snap, but they let us know what the plans were. Their crew came out one day and did all the carpentry work. During that work, they found a few additional areas that needed repairs, which added a little to the cost. Anthony had told us that would be a possibility, so it wasn't a surprise to us. Then another crew came out and pressure-washed the areas to be painted. The painting itself took 2 days - 1 for spraying the siding, and the other for the trim and the deck/fence staining. After they finished, I found a few small places in need of touch-up. I contacted Anthony, and the crew came back out in 2 days and took care of everything. The crews were very good workers, they cleaned up every day, and did a very neat job. The work was excellent, and the house looks great. I would highly recommend Painting Plus, and will certainly use them again in the future.

After finding very favorable reviews online, and meeting with one of the owners, we hired Painting Plus to do full exterior painting of our house. Their quote may not have been the cheapest possible price on the market, but it was a very fair price for the expert, high quality work they performed. They were very professional, provided evidence of insurance & bonds prior to signing the contract, and did not ask for any payment at all until the job was finished to our satisfaction. They did great work, on time and left a clean work site when they were done. We'd use them again without hesitation.

My experience with them is a nightmare. In my contract I have six lines of flashing, when I had somebody inspect it I found out that they didn't do flashing anywhere, so they had to rip up the roof and put in flashing and then they trim what they put up because all of my trim is white and they put up a black. Instead of going under the roof where the flashing should have gone they are now on the sides where water can get behind it and it had to be removed if I sell the house.

After obtaining multiple quotes on what we wanted to do, we chose Painting Plus. They were not the cheapest but not the most expensive either. They helped us decided on things we weren't sure how to go about. They brought multiple samples of brick, stone, Hardiplank and paint for us to see. They came early every morning and cleaned up every night before leaving. The workers were nice and friendly and the owners stopped by multiple times during the day to check on project. Very easy to deal with. I think the entire project took about 2 weeks, but there were some weather issues. We have been very satisfied with the work they did.
