Very good. Super punctual, quick and easy

We needed two upright pianos moved from the same house. We explained in detail what had to be done, that one piano was in our basement and had to be moved up stairs or out the back and up a steep hill. They asked a lot of questions and said that they could do the job with three guys. They lied. They were 30 minutes late, *(made an excuse about being stuck behind a train) showed up with just two guys, one that looked about 60. He looked at our downstairs Piano exit and said that he could not do the job. This put me in a huge bind since I took off work to meet them and we had to be out of the house in 4 days. We asked why, after we had fully explained the job, and he made the excuse that his third guy had to go back to school, (you didn’t know that?) and that he was getting too old to do this kind of work, and that his truck was acting up and he was afraid it might breakdown. I count 4 lame excuses. Then he started giving me advice on how the next company should do the job! Are you kidding me? We called another company and they took care of us. Again, don’t call this company!

I was referred to Greg by a family friend. I had a fantastic experience with both him and his associate. They were friendly, prompt, tuned my piano, and gave me some great information. They've earned my business for life.

Fantastic service. I called Greg about the move one day, and he came the next day to perform the service. Greg and his associate took great care moving the piano and were highly professional in all respects. This was a great find on Angie's List with a 10% coupon discount.

Mr. Newsong was friendly and knowledgeable. He was a few minutes late to our scheduled time for an in-home quote for piano repairs, which was not a big deal. Because I am unfamiliar with piano tuning and repair work, I do not know whether his quote was fair. It did seem high to me, but my recently acquired piano does require a substantial amount of repairs. I will likely get another quote before doing the repairs. I am uncertain as to whether I will use this piano serviceman in the future because he charged me a $100 service fee to come out to my home to provide me with a quote for piano repairs, and he did not inform me in advance that he would charge a $100 service fee for the quote. I spoke with him twice on the phone prior to having him come out for the quote. He did not mention the fee in either of those conversations. I cannot help but feel a little duped at being charged a $100 fee. Mr. Newsong tried to justify the fee to me, but to be quite honest, I do not think that any undisclosed fee is justifiable. Consequently, I do not know whether I can trust this company to do my piano repairs without "unforeseen" costs finding their way on to my bill. If I do decide to have this company do repair work for me, I will likely ask them for customer referrals first.

Fantastic! I have used them for a year and a half or two now. Overall they are outstanding, and the price is reasonable.

They are good. They were on time. They were efficient. I was satisfied with them.

They arrived on time. They unpacked the piano, reattached the parts removed for our move and then set the piano upright. They then worked with me, moving the piano into various position until I was satisfied. They recommended a company that does touch up work as there were a few scratches in the wood due to the move. I would definitely use this company again.

Greg was extremely polite and although he had some delay in getting here due to an illness, when he did get here, I was most pleased with his work. It had been years that one of the knobs had been missing due to being torn off in a move and one of the casters had been "pottied" on by my dog and I had never known how to get these fixed or replaced. So I was most happy to find out that Greg could do all manner of piano restoration as well as tuning. I would not hesitate in using him again.

I bought an old Yamaha piano through Craigslist last year while living in Jacksonville. I was never able to get a twang fixed that I felt in several of the keys. Mr. Lawrence came over and spent 2 1/2 hours working the piano until he got it right. He was able to fix the twang I told him about, he worked on the wires in the bottom part of the piano also. He had to do a double tune up to get it where it needed to be. When he left it was the first time I was able to play it and hear its true sound.

Newsong recently tuned my piano and the entire experience was excellent. When I contacted Newsong, I was able to get an appointment quickly. Greg arrived at the time scheduled, was polite and very professional. He checked the piano, determined what was needed, discussed his plan with me and then performed the work - thoroughly and skillfully. I will definitely use Newsong again.

We checked around and his price was nearly $100 below some others. During the move, they were very competent and careful, and they made no mistakes that I could tell. Some minor negatives: I asked if his truck would trench my lawn, and he said no, but it did make depressions of perhaps a half inch. We had already postponed one appointment because it had been only 3 days since a rain. On the other hand, I am not sure how it could have been done differently except to wait for the end of the rainy season, which we were not willing to do. We had trouble reaching him in the beginning because his phone was out of order, and then at the end we couldn't use a credit card because his "swiper" was out of order. These issues are not significant to me, and I would use him again in a heartbeat.

Tuned my spinet for 1st time in a decade. Advised of further work that will be needed, with no pressure. I will call them again.

They were very quick to return my calls and were able to schedule a time to move the piano that was convenient for me. They arrived on time, and loaded the piano very quickly, moved it to the new location and put in into place. There were no problems and I would definitely use them for this service again.

Mr. Greg Lawrence has tuned my piano for 2 years, every 6-12 months. He is professional and courteous. He does it all by ear, it takes about 1-1/2 hours. He is very knowledgable about how pianos are built and taking care of them.

Mr. Lawrence is unfailingly polite and punctual when coming to your home. If he's running late, he calls to let you know and ask whether it will be an inconvenience. He did a great job of tuning my piano. He also kept working, until he fixed it, at a problem I was having with one of the strings resonating. He can satisfy your curiosity about anything related to how pianos work and their history. He really knows his stuff. When he rebuilt my piano internally, he made it look absolutely beautiful inside. He even went to the trouble of ordering a new decal for the outside. And he went way beyond anything I would have expected to save my piano and make it playable again. I would trust him completely to do any piano work I needed.

The guy is very knowledgeable, reliable, he's always on time, and he does an excellent job. He really knows his stuff with pianos.
