Nate's Doors

My garage door broke late Sunday afternoon. The door wouldn't open, and my car was in the garage. This meant I wouldn't be able to go to work on Monday. My neighbor saw me outside in the driveway and recommended that I call Nate's Doors. Even though it was late on a Sunday, I decided to call anyway. Much to my surprise, a real person answered the phone. When I described the problem, he said I probably needed new torsion springs. He'd actually just finished a job near my neighborhood, was in his truck about ten minutes from my house, and said he could come right over. And, ten minutes later, there he was. He kept his truck stocked with several standard sizes of springs, but after taking one look at my springs, he said that they were a size he did not carry. He measured the springs for accuracy and said he'd be back first thing in the morning with the proper replacements. And he was. I ended up being only an hour late for work. The fee for replacing the two torsion springs at the last minute on a Sunday night was $269, which was based on the company's evening/weekend rates. I felt that the cost was extremely reasonable considering it was a last minute job at night on a weekend. The company's commitment to customer service in understanding my dilemma and coming over right away really impressed me. I expected to pay nearly twice what it ended up costing me. Though Nate's Doors is a small company, I wouldn't even consider calling any other company should I have issues with my garage door in the future.
