Mr. Plumber is Atlanta’s most trusted name in plumbing and drain services. Regardless of your plumbing issue, our dedicated staff can get the job done right the first time.
First of all, I want the name of our plumber to be known: Elliott Brockman. Elliott was exceptional in every way. His professionalism, skills and work ethic were second to none. Complimentary were his personal skills. Elliott was just enjoyable to have around the house. My daughter took to following him around to "help" him, and he took it all in stride. Elliott was actually at our home on two different occasions, and he made sure that he did the job perfectly. His attention to detail was very impressive. If you're looking for plumbing services, do not hesitate to call Mr. Plumber; and definitely ask for Elliott Brockman. I will look forward to having more projects knocked off the list with the assistance of Elliott. Considering how well Mr. Plumber responded to getting our appointments set up, it would be my guess that they do a good job across the board, and do not keep slouches on staff. I do not want to take away from them, but I felt the need to make sure that people know that Elliott is a credit to the company, and a d*** good man; someone you can trust to get the job done right. All of that said, at no time did we ever felt like we were getting a sales pitch. In fact, if it would not for Elliott's integrity, and if we'd used our previous plumber; we would have spent more money than we needed to have on not only parts, but services as well. Because of this, as long as Mr. Plumber has Elliott on staff, they will be my go to service for plumbing. And I do believe we're going to get to know Mr. Plumber well... :-)

Tech came out and I showed him an area of the ceiling that was showing a water leak. (I was praying for a plumbing leak vs. roof). After tech inspected the attic area the leak was indeed a roof leak. The tech asked if there was anything else he could do for me. I said yes since you are here could he please tighten up the bolts on my bathroom faucets so the handles would be where they should be and not loose. He did that as well as caulking around fixtures and making sure everything was perfect in both sinks. No extra fee was charged for this and I was extremely grateful. It's the little things that make my day great.

Overall this repair went very well.
Description of Work: I called late on a Friday afternoon when my already non-functioning garbage disposal began to leak badly. They were able to give me an appointment for Saturday afternoon. The technician arrived within the time frame stated and quickly determined that I needed a new disposal. He had one on his truck which he installed. He cleaned up after himself, and pointed out to me a defective dishwasher hose which I would not have noticed , which I subsequently had replaced by a service repair man.

I called because my gas water heater was not working and I thought I needed to relight the flame. The technician (Adrian) arrived to my house, I showed him where the water heater was, in my crawlspace. Come to find out the heater's flame was off because there was water in the crawlspace and it choked the flame. Adrian found something to stand on in the crawlspace so his shoes would not get wet (I am kind of offended at that, I got wet getting in my crawlspace) and proceeded to tell me that there is nothing to do but to change the heater to a tankless. He quoted me two different heaters: a tankless with heater 7.4 for $3300 and a 40 gal tank with heater, thermal something tank for $1144.00. I could not believe he came prepared to sell me something. Also, he recomended a company to come and dry my crawlspace.

This is a very good example of "Don't kill the messenger". The member thought that lighting the pilot lite on her water heater was a simple and quick fix. When our Plumber arrived, he found a flooded crawlspace and a water heater that had flooded from the heavy rains that we had that day. When this happens, the Manufacturer recommends replacing the entire unit. We gave the member all of her replacement options. I don't understand why we deserve a "D" rating. Our Plumber came out to solve a problem, not to make an unsafe repair.

Called when I suspected a leak in my water heater, the bottom of the heater was wet. They responded quickly, and told me the water heater was not leaking and the water must be coming from another source but the did provide the following quote: $910 six year gas water heater ($470 for equivalent at Lowes $175 expansion tank $40 drop cloth charge $75 dispose of old heater $212 because it was upstairs $212 for a helper ????? $150 to cap off lines (don't know what this was for $1774 total to install one 6 year water heater. This seeming to be a bit much I called another company, which responded the same day. Bottom line is I purchased a Rannai tankless 9.4 gpm system for $2500 installed, with the 30% tax credit that works out to $1750 and I have a system that will last 20 years plus. Oh, and by the way when they removed the old tank there was a hole rusted through the bottom. Pays to get a second opinion.

We did report to the member that although both of his water heaters were old, they were not leaking. He wanted a quote to remove two water heaters and replace with one single water heater. Since this was not a typical replacement, the quoted price was based on the work that would need to be done. The price difference with Lowe's is that our price includes the labor to install the water heater. You will wind up paying more for any plumbing work when you use a Licensed Plumber rather than the "pool" if installers that the big box stores keep on tap. They may or may not do a good job, but why take the chance? Congratulations on your purchase of a Rinnai tankless water heater. This is a great unit and will serve your needs for years to come.

I had an emergency issue with my due to my septic tank. I called on a Friday night. Technician called back timely and stated I probably needed my septic tank flushed and gave an approximate cost of $230. The technician also stated that no one would be able to work that night and to call again in the morning at 8am. I was called back by the company at about 7:30am on Saturday. I was quoted a new higher price of $430 with an $89 evaluation fee (different than advertised) which would be removed if I had the service. I was given an 8-4pm window. I have two kids. Not having the use of my plumbing is significant. I was called at about 1 and reported the technician was on the way. After waiting nearly an entire day, I was then called at about 2pm and told they could not come out due to the truck being down and service could be made on Monday. I felt that I was led on an entire day, in which I could have been using an alternate source. If my issue was that important to the company, I am not sure why a Monday date was given. I believe due to the companies scheduling issue I was just removed from service, and I also believe this was the cause for a window of nearly and entire day. I hope this is not standard practice in this industry.

In a perfect world, we would always be able to service all of our customers needs, when they need us; but it is difficult to factor in when a mechanical failure will disrupt your schedule. When our truck broke down while in route to his home, our Dispatcher called immediately to inform him of the circumstances that were beyond our control. We did offer the next available time frame. We understand that he could not wait, and had to go with another company. Mr. Plumber offers our sincere apologies for not being able to fulfill our service commitment to them. As far as the pricing issue, there are many factors that determine the cost of servicing a septic system. It may be that the Dispatcher received more information than the on-call Plumber received the night before. In any case, all prices are quoted to the customer on site, prior to any work being done. For customers that insist on a phone quote, the price is contingent upon what we find when we get to the job, as every job is different. I don't consider the ratings given by him to be an accurate reflection of the services that Mr. Plumber is known for.

Called them for emergency service & they were here in an hour! Determined that we did not need a new water heater (it was only 6 1/2 yrs old), and they replaced the valve since that was what was causing the leak. Saved us $500 & hopefully the water heater will last another 3-5 yrs.

Our water heater went out on Thursday night, and we didn't want to be without hot water all weekend, so Friday morning I started calling plumbing companies to get my water heater replaced. I was considering installing a tankless water heater, so I wanted to find a plumber that was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. I called several companies to give me quotes. Mr. Plumber came within about 3 hours after I called. They answered all my questions in detail (I'm a lawyer, so I had lots of questions). After consulting with two other companies, I decided to go with Mr. Plumber. Friday afternoon, I called them back to see if they could install the tankless water heater. Despite the late notice, Kevin (a master plumber) frorm Mr. Plumber came out and finished the job by 10p that night. I watched the whole installation from start to finish and was impressed with his demeanor, his expertise, and his great attitude. We now have a Rinnai R75 water heater that functions perfectly. We have 5 bathrooms in our home and this model does a more than adequate job of serving the entire house. I would recommend Mr. Plumber to anyone and will use them again in the future.

They sent two plumbers after the assessment an estimate was received. The repair man was polite on the phone but hard to understand. He explained that the problem was in the vent pipe. There was one large one from the bathroom and a smaller vent pipe from the vanity, tub and commode that filters into the larger pipe. He explained it would be $500+ to unplug the big vent and $150 for each of the small vent pipes. He unclogged the big one and 2 smaller ones. I assumed at that point the problem was resolved. It was not. I called them back and they returned and changed the ring around the commode. The smell was still there after that rim replacement. After the fact I hired a handyman and he evaluated the problem. I then I hired a licensed plumber who immediately confirmed my handyman's diagnosis and resolved the actual problem that turned out to be the flange under the commode. The handyman's service was $125 and the plumber $165. I obviously overpaid COOLRAY HEATING COOLING & PLUMBING for a service they were not qualified for. They were rated highly on the list but they did not do good service for me.

Response from Mr Plumber
The member asked us to go to her rental property due to an odor in the bathroom. what our plumber found was a blockage in the lavatory drain, and a blockage n the bathtub drain. Our plumber went on the roof(for access), to clean the two drain lines. We also did some additional drain cleaning in the bathroom area. Our plumber removed a large amount of hard from the drains, a plastic bottle cap, and facial cleaning pads. These are typical items that we encounter with rental properties. One week later the tenant reports that she still smells an odor. We returned but found no odor, and no plumbing problem. we did remove the toilet and replaced the wax seal at no charge though, strictly as precautionary measure. Again, we found no other plumbing problem. The member said that she had a "handyman" diagnose her tenant's problem; and another Plumber came to fix the flange on the toilet. Our licensed Master Plumber found no problem with this flange. I have asked for any documentation that she may have to support this, but to date; I have only received a hand written note on notebook paper. The note is signed,"nelson Plumbing Repair," a company that does not even exist. I suspect that this person has deceived her, and attempted to persuade her that we were wrong in our assessment, and that he was a licensed plumber.

There were two Mr. Plumber visits for our problem. After the first visit, the problem occurred again about 8 weeks later. Note that the drain-cleaning warranty is just one month; this is not unusual, but fairly standard practice. Different Mr. Plumber plumbers came on the two visits. The second Mr. Plumber plumber called the first to consult. What apparently happened is an obstruction was moved by the first two plumber visits (Mr Plumber, and before them, the bathroom remodeler's plumber), but not cleared out of the drain pipes, so, we had drainage temporarily. The second Mr. Plumber plumber ran a camera all the way through the bathroom that had been affected all of the three times (one bathroom was affected just on the last time) to the outside clean-out. He and I watched the video, and agreed that the problem was solved. This was several months ago, so a happy ending. And, he did not charge us for the video scan to make up for the first Mr. Plumber plumber not really fixing the problem.
Description of Work: Bathroom toilet and shower drains backed-up. Problem started after another contractor remodeled the two bathrooms that were affected. His plumber ran a power auger down the drain, and it was okay for a few weeks. When it reclogged, we called Mr. Plumber.

Our hot water heater was leaking outside through the overflow pipe. We thought the valve on the hot water heater was bad. Andy from Mr. Plumber came out the same day we called for an appointment. He asked a couple of questions and suggested the water pressure in the whole house might be too high. He checked the pressure, it was too high, and he swapped out the main water pressure valve. He said we could wait on the hot water heater valve to see if it went back to normal, rather than spend money to replace it now. It did go back to normal so he saved us the expense of changing it now. In addition, other plumbing mysteries in our house were solved: randomly running toilets, extreme pressure when faucets were first turned on, knocking in pipes, etc. We already changed out the insides of one of the toilets, thinking it was leaking, but now we know the pressure was too high. It was a very good experience.

Miserably with much disappointment in this company.
Description of Work: I wanted a "Toilevator" kit installed. Tim Garret showed up, glanced at the kit and stated "It won't work." My old house toilet was leaking when it flushed, but I wasn't sure if it could be fixed or needed to be replaced. I was traveling and could not make a lot of phone calls; Mr. Plumber's website had an option to ask a question via email, and Joe Hayes answered my question over email and helped me understand what needed to be done. Their repairman came out the next day, diagnosed the problem and helped me decide to replace it. Then, he was able to go get the new toilet and put it in the same day. I had been bracing for him to say they'd have to schedule another time to come back--it was great to get it done fast.
