Mr Plumber

This company was able to come the same day I called them. They showed up on time to their appointment. I have a service agreement with their sister company for my air conditioner, so they gave me a discount on the bill because of that. The plumber was very nice and informative. He did a good job cleaning up the area after he was done installing the new 1 foot section of piping.

When removing a bathroom sink to replace it, my husband dropped it and broke off one of the water lines. I called Mr. Plumber at approximately 3:30 PM and requested same day (emergency) service. A plumber arrived around 5:00 PM and was here for about a half hour. He was courteous, professional, and quick. We had water back on in time to fix dinner. I would highly recommend this company for any plumbing repairs. I was pleasantly surprised that I could get same-day emergency plumbing repair for only $145.00.

They were very prompt and they did a good job explaining the work that they were going to do. They gave us a discount because we had found their name through Angie's List.

Dave came and searched for the source, was very diligent. Decided it was a roofing problem. We were very impressed with his work. He took the coupon.

I will never use Mr. Plumber again. When the technician arrived he did his initial inspections on the range and the water heater. He determined that there was no leak on the range. He did find a small leak on the water heater. He gave me a price of $125. I thought this was a little bit high. Since he was there and I needed hot water I agreed to the price. As he was fixing the heater he came back through the house and said that he needed to get another part. He then finished fixing the heater. It took less than an hour. As I was going to pay him he stated that there would be a "small" additional cost. I said "How small?" He said $75 dollars! He raised the price on me by 50% after the work was done. I was so mad. I had to pay the extra $75 because the work was already done. I had been taken by the old bait and switch routine. He quoted one price. He did the work and then charged me 50% more. If he had told me $200 in the beginning I would have said no way! Be careful!

I believe I was told by the List that they had a free offer. They said they charge for estimating and if the work is done, that added fee is dropped. I was given a window of 8am to noon. By 1:15 I had no plumber and they had changed my window without notifying me to 10am to 3pm. I told them I'd find someone else.

We were 100% pleased with entire staff, Bill our plumber and entire process of contracting with Cool Ray. We contracted with Cool Ray to have our air ducts cleaned this week and a whole house filter installed on the furnace. We expect we will not be disappointed!

I called the plumber on a Friday, because I was having a lot of company the next evening. They said that they could not come until MONDAY, so I told them to just come the following Saturday and I would close off the bathroom door. The plumber came late, and when I called they said he was coming from Alabama. He got here and completed the job quickly, although I did get a little lecture since I had them use the new part I bought from Lowes. After he left,I went to clean the toilet and discovered the the hinges had been cracked on the toilet seat, and they were not cracked before he got there. I called the company, and they put me in touch with the repairman, and he said he didn't crack them. I called the company back and spoke to a supervisor and he said that if the repairman said he didn't do it, then he didn't do it. No responsibility at all. The 19 bucks they could have given me for the new seat would have meant a lot, but instead, I will never use them again.

From my first call, I had a good feeling. Mr. Plumber was able to accommodate my schedule. The plumber showed up on time. He was friendly and courteous, but more importantly he was very knowledgeable. He assessed the problem, explained what needed to be fixed and what it would cost. He then proceeded to go above and beyond, in my book. He pointed out some past mistakes with a previous (more expensive) fix and let me know what he did (reset, evened toilet and re-caulked) to ensure the same problem would not happen again. He then pointed out a smaller issue with the same toilet, not in need or report but to keep an eye on.

A very pleasant young man came and bent the toilet mechanisms so that the water no longer ran. Although he said that the minimum hourly rate was $100, he only charged us $80 because the repair was so simple. He asked us if there were any other jobs he could do for us because he felt bad he had to charge us so much for such simple work, but we couldn't think of any. He checked the other toilets in the house just to see that they were working properly. We didn't resent the amount we paid because we know he had to make a very long trip from the other side of Atlanta to get to us.

This happened on a Friday night. I called Saturday morning, and they called me back moments later. I was able to get someone out to my house in a matter of a few hrs from the phone call. They did excellent work.

Excellent. Showed up when they said they would. Very professional technician. I'M VERY SATISFIED. Good job, top marks.

We called at 7:30 Sat am with an emergency. Got an answering service. Again at 8:15; we were told they never received our original call. We had water dripping from our upstairs bathroom into the downstairs foyer even with our water turned off in the whole house. Even though they advertise 60 minute service in the phone book they could not come until Monday afternoon! Didn't seem to care about our situation. Leaky ceiling and no water. So much for them and their advertised 24/7 60 minute service.

We left a message with the emergency answering service at 6:30 a.m. and had to call back at 8:30 a.m., because our call was not returned yet. After explaining our issue, were told we would receive service after two o'clock, which was okay, but the tech didn't arrive until 7:30 p.m. Once he arrived, he was very friendly and efficient, with the work completed within 90 minutes. We were told the base price on the phone of $649 for a 40 gal water heater, but when the tech arrived, we were given the ''standard work'' price, which included the parts, it was substantially higher ($1010) than the original amount, that we thought we would be paying.

UNPLEASANT, SUPERVISOR SHOULD COMMUNICATE MORE BETWEEN WORKER AND CLIENT AND HIMSELF IF HE MAKE ALL DECISIONS.

Was told price was $1,600. After yard was dug up, I was told price was now $3,925. Final price now $3,500. Two wheelbarrows of foul smelling sewer contaminated dirt left on side of yard. I had to clean this up. Pieces of old sewer pipe left in yard when job finished. Some of this pipe was found by Mr. Plumber rep who came to look at "finished" job. This gentleman seemed actually concerned about my satisfaction as a customer. Sidewalk broken accidentally, but was repaired after I complained and waited a week. I think I had four different people from Mr. Plumber at one time or another. They started job on Friday before Labor day. Not finishing Friday afternoon, they left their backhoe in my front yard until the following Tuesday. This is in front of a nice home on the main street of a very nice subdivision. I got complaints from neighbors about this and sidewalk being broken.

He just came in and got right to the problem. He fixed it right away! I would definitely recommend him!

Dave the plumber was punctual and polite. He came back the following morning because he did not have a replacement faucet, but located one early the next morning.

I was reasonably happy with this company. The price was fair and not too high. I would probably use them again.

Called for estimate and was given one very quickly. Decided to use another service.

Excellent work, explained thoroughly, & no surprises. On time, or customer service agent kept me informed as to estimated time of arrival.

This was my first attempt to use Angies List. I have a coupon for Mr. Plumber and called the number. After being cut off the first time I called back and said I needed to schedule a service call for two stopped up drains. The operator asked my address then put me on hold and said we don't cover that area. My issue is their add reads: ''ATLANTA'S Most Trusted Plumber''. My zip code is 30354 which is an Atlanta address 6.0 miles south of downtown Atlanta. Their add should either read ''We service SOME parts of Atlanta'' or they ought to service all areas that have a 303** zip code.

Company was called out for an estimate on installation of & faucets. Personnel were very responsive & very helpful; however, estimate given was $700 HIGHER than the other estimates.

I don't know anything about the quality of this company's work, but their service was horrible. I had to make repeated calls over a 13-hour period, only to finally be told they couldn't help me.

VERY POLITE, ARRIVED RIGHT ON TIME. CHARGED ONLY THE MINIMAL SERVICE VISIT FEE, EVEN THOUGH HE SPENT A GOOD BIT OF TIME HERE INVESTIGATING THE PROBLEM.
