Description of Work: I moved into this house and heard critters in the attic above my bedroom. I put out nuts and dog food on a paper plate and the nuts were eaten within 2 days, confirming I had some kind of critter in the attic. The dog food wasn't touched. I suspected squirrels. I purchased the following package from Angie's List: |$89 for a full inspection of your home including attic, roof line and basement/crawlspace area |Two weeks of rodent trapping plus 15% off any damage or preventative repairs |Installation of one-way exit squirrel excluder and 10 linear feet of roof edge reinforced |Pictures of any issues will be taken and given to the homeowner |As an added bonus, members will receive 15% off any exclusion work with purchase. | |The gentleman came out quickly. He explained that, although there was no confirming it, I likely had flying squirrels. He pitched to me a package that was going to cost me thousands of dollars to seal off my house. In the meantime, he put large spring traps in the attic with peanut butter bait. They came back twice and the traps were all empty. They took all the traps with them on the 2nd visit and left. I spent $100 and still have no answers. I never received any photos, squirrel excluder, roof edge reinforcements, or anything. When I inquired about it, the answer was, "The only way is to seal off the entire house." I also had to ASK specifically for the 15% off to be included in the estimate, which was part of this offer. The sales guy was pushy and no help whatsoever, as long as I wasn't willing to spend thousands on the sealing of my home. |

Description of Work: They checked my attic for entry points for wildlife. They put out traps to catch any wildlife in the attic. All entry points were sealed up and they came back several times to follow up. You can't see where the work was done to seal the attic and overall I feel MayDay Pest Control is a very professional company

+ -1 moreTwo men came to spray our home, one working inside and one working outside. They were fast and professional and answered all questions and concerns my wife and I had. He told us that over the next 2-3 weeks we would see more bugs as they were flushed out and died, and he was right. We even saw two dead cockroaches- something we thought we'd taken care of by ourselves! FYI: Sign up at their website and the initial visit is half price! Regular rates for an annual contract are $65 every two months.
Description of Work: Signed an extermination agreement with Mayday to control general bugs in and around our home. We've been having problems with small red bugs that were coming into our home around a window. Last year we'd had problems with cockroaches but they had disappeared.

+ -1 moreMayday Pest Control has eliminated our problems with spiders that were getting into the house and our trees and shrubs look wonderful now that the June bugs are gone. Mayday offers a regular treatment service and if you have problems with insects between treatments. They return and retreat at no charge.
Description of Work: We hired Mayday to take over our treatment for indoor & outdoor insects. June bugs and spiders were our biggest problem that we needed help with.

I HUNG UP ON HIM AFTER I TOLD HIM TWICE THAT I DIDN'T LIKE HIM TALKING DOWN TO ME WITH THAT TONE. HE CALLED BACK ON MY CELL PHONE AND LEFT A MESSAGE AND MATCHED THE PRICE OF THE OTHER COMPANY- $600.00 LESS. HE WAS SURLY. I NEVER CALLED HIM BACK. I DON'T WANT ANY ONE NEAR THESE CONDOS WITH SUCH AN ATTITUDE. I WOULD HAVE TO WATCH EVERYTHING HE DID. I AM AFRAID THAT HE WOULD SKIMP, AFTER LOWERING THE COST THAT MUCH. HE TREATED ME LIKE I WAS STUPID.

HE POINTED OUT A FEW THINGS TO CONSIDER. MAYDAY OFFERS A 10% DISCOUNT IF YOU PAY WITH A DEBIT CARD, SO THAT KNOCKS OFF ABOUT $8.40 A VISIT (SAVES ABOUT $25 A YEAR). THEY DID A GREAT JOB.
Description of Work: WE MOVED INTO A NEW ''OLDER'' HOUSE THAT HAD BEEN VACANT FOR ALMOST A YEAR, AND WE FELT WE NEEDED TO START A PEST CONTROL SERVICE. I CONTACTED MAYDAY TO SETUP AN APPT. THEY QUOTED ME $84 A QUARTER.
