Majestic Plumbing & Electric

After several days of continuous sub-freezing temperature, the city is inundated with busted pipes. I returned home to find a flooded house in 3 levels. The earliest any plumbing company could get to me was 3-7 days due to back log. Majestic plumbers said they would call me if a spot opened up. They called at 11:30 pm and asked if I would like their plumber to come out. He arrived close to midnight and performed the repairs so that we could have running water again. He'd been working for 24 hours straight, but was kind enough to keep going for us. He was excellent and quick at the repairs.

I called Majestic on a Sunday morning when my basement started flooding. After talking through the situation with them, they weren't sure what the situation was but got someone out there within an hour and a half. Unfortunately the news was bad and my plumbing line from my house to the sewer had collapsed. Sandy was a trooper and worked hard to get the line working enough to let me stay in my house until they could dig up my yard to replace the line. Two days later the guys worked tireless (on New Years Eve no less) until 7 p.m. to ensure I could start using the water in my house again. While this created a huge mess in my yard (no fault of theirs - my yard is on a hill and they had to dig 12 feet down to get to the pluming line), they did a great job. I would recommend Majestic for both emergency and non-emergency work. I feel very comfortable with them and would use them again in a heartbeat.

Service was incredibly prompt, and went very smooth.

Very responsive, I called at 8am, and had a plumber, Thomas, at my door at 0930. We signed a quote for the job before work started. Although I initially thought the quote was high, clearing the blockage proved quite a challenge - he spent nearly two hours in the end, snaking out the pipes, so all in all the price ended up being reasonable. There have been no problems since. Thomas was highly professional throughout. I would use Majestic again and recommend them.

The hot water was not working in my condo that I rent out. I called about 8 plumbers trying to get an appointment and everyone was booked. It is the coldest day of the year and it seems there were a bunch of plumbing emergencies around Atlanta. To top it off, I was going out of town that afternoon and really needed to get this handled before I went out of town. Majestic had a plumber finish a job and they were available and they called me to let me know he was on his way. When the plumber arrived I explained the problem and he said the pipes were likely frozen. I took him down in the crawlspace and he checked the pipes. He said there was nothing a plumber could fix at this point and explained that we had a lot of pipes and we needed to drip both the hot water and cold water in order to prevent pipe freezing. He explained they might thaw this afternoon and to go into the crawlspace and listen for water running/dripping in case one of the pipes broke/burst. The plumber was so helpful and accommodating. I was actually on a conference call while he was there and he was so patient with the call going on while we were looking at the issue. He also helped me navigate to the crawlspace (it is not easily accessed). He was very friendly and professional. The biggest surprise was that he did not charge me for the visit because they did not perform any work. This was surprising because I thought plumbers always charged just to come out. I have used many different plumbers over the years because I own a few properties. I feel like I have found the plumber I will use from now on. They were so helpful in getting someone out so quickly on a busy day and then the plumber being a pleasure to work with. I feel like I can trust Majestic.

Technician arrived 45 minutes late. In addition he had the wrong address. Both, the technician and the lady form the Company I spoke with on the phone were not clear about their pricing no coould not give me a detailed invoice. Apparently Majestic Pluming would charge you a never mentioned fee for using a credit card. Technician was somewhat professional but I would not use this company again

Purchased a voucher for $75 for Full Home Plumbing Inspection, Water Heater Flush And Repair Credit ($189). Was not aware I had the voucher when he first came out and quoted me $310 (which he said was the pricing in his book) to do a Water Heater flush (voucher stated the full cost was $189). But he did not recommend since the water heater was more then 2 years old. Brought up some other options I read about that may fix the issues I was having. Prices he quoted to perform that work where outrageous. In short, was pushing me to buy a new water heater (mine is 10yrs old). Already knowing water heaters have an avg life of 12-15yrs, had previously researched a replacement water heater cost. Particularly, what a tank-less water-heater and install would cost. Had already written off doing any business with this company, but asked for a qoute just for the jolly. Came back with a price that was 3x higher then what someone else had quoted me. At this time I presented him the voucher and asked if there was anything he could do for me. Sure he was a bit surprised when he realized the book cost he was quoting me was BS. Did not bother asking him to perform the home inspection that the voucher included. As appetite for more bs repair work was already satisfied for the day. Waste of $75

they also checked all the plumbing and threw in a couple of extra services. they were great! my only critical feedback is that the coupon offering was a little bit confusing. so much, that I almost did not purchase because it seemed like a it may not have been a savings. It was also a bit of a challenge to submit the receipt for reimbursement to the water company. Majestic's service made the purchase a great buy.

They were on time and they were fair priced. The shower is working now and they did a good job. I did spend more than the big deal.

Talked with company by telephone. Company came to job site, took about 10 minutes to look around and recommended that I have approximately $20,000.00 worth of work done. I told him I did not need to have any of the repairs which he suggested done but that I did have several other things that needed to be done. He told me that he would contact me within the next couple of days, but I never heard from him again.

Friendly, responsive and rest to work with!

The frustration is in the price. The initial quote for four bathroom faucets was $1,150.00. This price did not include the price of the hardware being installed for which I provided. He said he would change out the toilet flushing mechanism for "free" in two of the toilets. After an agreed upon price of $1,000 plus any parts ( not knowing any better price ) I agreed to the job. That still came to $250 per sink. While making a parts run to Lowe's, I saw that they would install sink faucets for $99 (one) and the second one 40% off $99 or $60 each. I was floored when I saw how much more I was paying Majestic. I mentioned this to the plumber and he said he couldn't compete with that and wouldn't be able to come close. I then asked him to stop at two sinks and I would contact Lowe's for the remaining work. He was okay with that and did complete the toilets for free as promised. I think for simple jobs, they have priced themselves out of the market. It makes no sense to pay $250 x 4 to install $100 x 4 worth of plumbing fixtures. Total job was $469 (labor) + $200 (parts) for two sink faucet replacements. $669 is too much. I picked Majestic because of their reviews in Angie's List. I am surprised that so many people are willing to pay so much for their work.

I contacted Majestic because of a strong sewer smell in our downstairs half bath. This occurred on a weekend, but the smell was so strong, it was alarming. The plumber on call called me back immediately and after asking a few questions, determined the problem could wait until Monday. In the meantime, the smell completely abated. On Monday, Majestic called first thing to schedule an appt to remedy the issue, but since it was gone, we decided to wait. I would not hesitate to use Majestic if we ever had any other issues. They were so prompt and courteous, it really was a positive experience.

Everything turned out well and did a great job. I would recommend them to anyone.

I purchased the Big Deal for Majestic Plumbing.

They over charged me by $40 on the 85 for 150 deal. They actually gave me 85 for 115. I brought this to their attention 2 times asking for my overpayment back. The first lady on the phone said sorry and we will send it to you. After it never came, I called again. The second lady on the phone transferred me to their accounting office. This person said they would mail me a refund. Its been almost 2 months...still nothing. Stay away...mistakes in their favor get ignored.

I was also pleased to see a recently discharged US Marine apprenticing with them.

They were excellent. They were very professional, very prompt and very personable. The work wasn't that complicated but it was good.

They fixed the faucet on my kitchen sink.

The only amount that I paid was the $89.00 deal that I received on my e-mail. |I had a problem with my kitchen faucet and decided to get the Angie's List deal. The Company contacted me to know more about my issue, set the date and time to come here. The technician arrived on time, did the service and was very professional and polite. I asked him to take a look on problems that I was also having with 2 toilets and he gave me an estimate. |Good experience and I gave them A!

Noticed the provider did not properly label the circuit panel they installed. The provider came out and updated the circuit panel at no extra cost. Update: A few months after completing the work, I looked at the circuit panel and discovered that all the circuits were not labeled. I asked them to come out to correct, which they did. However, I recently had a an electrical issue that required me to turn off one of the circuits. I come to find out that the entire panel was completely mislabeled. I can see getting one or two wrong, but more than two thirds of the box had the wrong floor and wrong type of circuit labeled. I had to go through the whole house turning off each circuit one by one and going room by room to see which lights, switches, and outlets were on each circuit. Completely unacceptable.

They were prompt and worked with me on financing. It was an overall good experience.
