Majestic Plumbing & Electric

It took about 10 days to receive an estimate for plumbing a toilet, vanity and stand up shower. All the pipes were exposed and the job was to connect to existing plumbing. When I finally received and estimate it was to the tune of $7,000. I recieved several estimates for the exact job. Reliable was $2,350, All Good Plumbing was at $1,950 and my Contractor's plumber was at $2,185. So.... I felt as if I needed to write the review. $7,000 Seriously!!! By the time I received their bid, I had alreay chosen the work anyway.

They were great at getting on the phone to schedule and when I told them I didn't need them they told me to call Angie's list and get a refund. So I was pleased with them all around plus Angie's list.

It was fine. They came out a week after I purchased the deal.

Overall went well. Except when the second plumber who came to fix (not the plumber who gave us the estimate Mr Thomas) was in real rush and not friendly but the office staff took care of the short coming ASAP and sent the plumber again. I will use this company again as their job was done well.

The plumber that showed up was quite professional and obviously experienced. But he was more interested in giving my high quotes for work that really didn't need to be done than he was in flushing the hot water tank (the service for which I had paid). He did do that - kind of. I'm not sure he did it completely or did it right. The next morning I had a "warm" shower - and my wife had a "cold" shower since he neglected to turn the gas back on. This required a call and walking my wife through lighting the pilot light - which she was not real comfortable doing. And, the fact that some water in the tank was still warm the next morning suggests to me that the hot water heater may not have been fully flushed (although I am not a plumber and may be wrong about that). In short, these are good plumbers who probably do good work - when you pay them their regular (high) fees. But, getting good service on the low-priced "special" offered by Angie didn't seem to be much of a priority with them. Also, their estimates for other work that I needed seemed really, really, really high. $700 to replace the valve in my shower (it was leaking slightly). I went on Youtube and saw how I could replace the stem - which I did for less than $20. Over $500 labor to replace a kitchen faucet. Seems really high to me. There were a variety of other services that also seemed really high. Again, the tech was really personable and professional, but it's highly unlikely I would use them in the future due to their high rates - much higher than I believe other plumbers would charge.

William was polite and professional and gave good advice. He suggested not to bother getting a walk-in shower for my elderly mother, because it would cost at least $3,000. (Support: The cast-iron tub and shower tiles would have to be removed, the faucet raised up 4", etc.) So instead, we will just get grab bars and a $260 swivel shower chair. He hauled off a heavy cabinet for free. And he fixed the burst pipe.

He did a good job. The price was reasonable.

This was my third time using Majestic plumbing and overall I like them. They are easy to schedule and did a good job. My only complaint is that there prices have risen dramatically. In April I had a spout on another tub replaced by them for $90 and this time it was $179. In the future I will get other quotes to determine if they are still competitively priced.

Randy installed a new electrical outlet in my garage storage room in under an hour for a very reasonable price. He even found a way to save a few bucks over the original estimate and threw in an upgrade child protective plug. He was very knowledgable, friendly, and professional. I would highly recommend him.

I contacted Majestic about a leak I was having from my shower through my ceiling below. I called at 10 am and the friendly lady who answered listened to my questions, made suggestions, and after agreeing to move forward and hearing my location and need, she asked me politely to hold. I help for 10 seconds and she came back and said they could be there between 2-5 the same day with a call ahead. We scheduled the appointment. She called back around noon, said they had someone finish early and could come during lunch if I would like or could just keep the scheduled timeframe. I took her up on the lunchtime slot and they plumber was there in 20 minutes. Thomas was very professional and helpful. After examining the leak and the shower, he offered suggestions that I could do on my own to trouble shoot and said if they didn't work then they could come back out get it fixed. The charge was 0 and the advise was invaluable. He did give me a price should they have to come back out just so i had an idea what I'd be looking at approximately.(which was fair price and really nice to know ahead of time if I need to) I will definitely use Majestic in the future and appreciate their honesty, promptness, and friendliness. Thomas was a great representative for Majestic.

The technician came on time and he did a quick inspection, cleared one drain, and flushed the water heater. He was friendly enough. I had to remind him about the water heater flush though. I'm glad that the heater did not have any sediment and he seemed to be happy also. He seemed like he was in a hurry and well he tracked a bit of dirt all over the house. He managed to sweep up some but I wasn't too pleased with it. He gave some good pointers as to the water heater and my bathroom drain is clear. Beyond that I don't really think it was worth the money spent and I don't think I would use them again.

Needed to leave to get parts in the middle of the service. When returned, seemed physically impaired.

He was very understanding of having my husband trail after him, asking questions. We were very pleased.

On initial contact, I spoke with Cody in Customer Service. Great 1st impression. Thorston came to my home, diagnosed my problem and gave me a very fair price. After dealing with the city's Watershed people with unlocking my meter cover, Eric came out and completed the job. Customer service is the foundation of Majestic. I'm a very satisfied customer. Majestic will be my goto folk for all of my plumbing/electrical needs. And I received a $50.00 discount for being an Angie's List subscriber. This was truly a win/win situation for me.

He cleaned the faucets and installed the toilet. He worked so hard. His name was Thomas and I was very pleased with his service. So very trusting, he explained everything to me thoroughly. He was such a nice a man. He moved the toilet from upstairs to our downstairs bathroom. Would recommend him to anyone and will keep him as my plumber forever! Very professional.

Months later, the company called demanding payment for services that were never performed. STAY AWAY!

After paying to replace all the toilets and two previous plumbing inspections Majestic Plumbing accurately diagnose the plumbing issue (water bill too high) and provided a quote to resolve the problem. As of today the water bill has progressively decreased and I believe the problem has been resolved. The technician was courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. The price for the work was slightly higher than I expected but it was worth getting the problem finally fixed. I would highly recommend this provider!

We had Majestic out to assess our water heater; technician's name was Thomas. Our water heater was almost 15 years old, and was not providing sufficient hot water in the mornings. Thomas arrived at the time promised, and was very knowledgeable. We had had our water heater serviced by another company; as it turns out, that company had botched the repair to our heating element, and the wiring around the heater had burned out. Fortunately, we did not have a disastrous fire as a result (although the wiring was a mess where they connect to the heating element). Majestic quoted us the cost of a new water heater, and provided a date/time to install. Initially, the technician told us their schedule was full until mid-week. While I said the delay would be okay (as I did not think I had a choice), the reality was with 2 teenagers in the house, not having hot water for several days would have been a nightmare. Without even saying anything to the technician, he took it upon himself to have schedules reworked so that the water heater could be installed the next day. Additionally, that same day, Majestic sent an electrician out to ensure the wiring for the water heater was not damaged due to the prior incident. Fortunately all was good, but it was comforting to know that Majestic really cared to go the extra mile to ensure we not only had what we needed when we needed it, but that we were checked for other potential issues simply to be on the safe side. It is rare I walk away from an experience with a service provider where I almost look forward to the next time I have to call them.

The plumber, Kevin, made a quick assessment and provided several suggestions to several problems. He was prompt and was very hard working and cleaned up after all work was completed. He did a great job!

Communication has been fine. They communicated with me right away (within a few days). They have done their part I just haven’t coordinated a date yet.

Showed up on time. Very friendly. Very professional. Came back and worked with other professionals to identify that the leak was a roof issue.

They did good, but they had to come back out to actually replace the faucet. It was $350 to replace the faucet (parts and labor) and replace valve on the main water line. I thought that was too expensive.

We used Majestic Plumbing last month after purchasing their deal through Angie's List for $75 for a full home plumbing inspection. The fee we payed also went towards any repairs. My husband was there with the plumber and was pleased that he was so thorough. He recommended several things that needed to be done, but did not push my husband to commit to fixing them that day. He was also able to replace our leaking garbage disposal the same day. Overall, we were very pleased and will definitely recommend Majestic Plumbing!
