Majestic Plumbing & Electric

At first things were kind of rocky but after I expressed my dissatisfaction with what turned out to be a new employee, the company's owner came out and made things right. I would hire this company again. If you have any issues the Owner will make it right. It was apparent to me that he takes a great deal of pride in his business and in ensuring that customers are satisfied and get what they deserve.

The job was relatively easy. Everything was taken care of and it all went very smoothly.

The electrician was extremely helpful. prompt and understanding of each of our minor problems. In fact this is the 3rd time we have had Majestic come for different services. A previous service was to install a floor outlet. We obviously have been very satisfied with their work.

He spent about 2 minutes at my house.

It worked out ok. They had to pull up some plaster but they did not put it back. They gave me a number of a plaster company to do it.

They did a good job but they charged far more than I thought they should of charged for the small time it took them to complete the job.

Sandy and Allen were very professional, arrived on time for what I thought was either going to be toilet replacements or routing. Turned out the toilets had to be replaced. I also wanted a new kitchen faucet installed - Sandy went right to Home Depot to purchase the items needed while I went and bought a kitchen faucet. He came back and once he started removing the old toilets found the flanges were badly in need of replacement so had to go buy them. He started at 2:00 pm in the afternoon and Allen came to help later in the evening. Once they had to turn off my water, found out my pressure was almost at max so needed a new PRV as well. Due to the extent of the work, these 2 guys worked until 12:30 am to get all of the needed work done! They were both very nice guys who work hard and I felt so bad for them having to work until the wee hours but Sandy wanted to make sure everything got done as he was backed up on his schedule and didn't know when he could get back. I know they both had to be very tired, but they were patient and showed us everything they were having to do so we understood what was needed. They are both awesome gentlemen and I would highly recommend them!

Update: Majestic contacted me and apologized. They had made the appointment and failed to post it properly in their system which caused the no show. They offered to come repair the drain for free but the repair had already been completed (not a bad offer for a $300 service). I give them credit for trying to make things right and for trying to earn a customer.

Fast response, especially considering the holidays. On-time. Very professional. Writing the quote took a long time. Once they started the work it was very quickly taken care of. Everything explained thoroughly. Was supposed to leave some company information (cleanup, mold remediation, appliance reseller), but must have forgotten. Credit card surcharge. Quote for follow-up service (replacing the actual dishwasher) quite high - not planning to bring them back for that.

Eric came and inspected all the plumbing in our house. He showed up on time and even brought covers to wear over his work boots so as not to track dirt into the house. He checked everything very thoroughly and wrote a nice report detailing the condition of all plumbing and made recommendations for items that needed repaired to meet building code. We were very happy with everything he did and he was a very nice guy, so we called the company after he left and we scheduled all the services he recommended. This was money well spent for piece of mind.

They were fine. They were pretty expensive, but the service was fine. They came immediately because it was an emergency. It took them about a week to complete the work. The service itself was not bad, the cost was a bit high.

The service was good. Everything was fine. They were very courteous, and there was nothing that I disliked.

Called 8-Jan-15 to have a technician come out to inspect burst pipe. Rep who handled the phone call was extremely professional and gave me a 3 hour window for the following day. Sadly, the technician missed the window - I had to call Majestic to find out when I might see a technician. They informed me they would call back when they knew a time. They returned a call to let me know the tech was on the way out, and he arrived 2 hours after the end of the 3 hour window. So much for planning. At any rate, the technician was professional, answered my questions and gave me an estimate. I'll be doing the work myself, because $225 is too much to replace a burst pipe. As it is $95 for 5 minutes of looking at the pipe seems a little steep to me but it gave me the paperwork I need to file for my insurance claim to replace the damaged flooring in my basement.

Eric H. was great. I didn't realize I had a third problem until he got here, but he was thorough. He explained all problems and potential solutions very well. He worked efficiently and quick. He was easy to talk to and trustworthy. All of my experiences with Majestic plumbing have been superb. I highly recommend them.

Ben McCook, Service Technician arrived to our home on time and prepared to get to work. He immediately put his protective booties on over his shoes to protect our floors, thank you Ben! Ben asked us relevant questions about the age of the pump etc. After his thorough inspection of pump Ben explained to us in detail what the problem was. He also explained our options in regards to price and quality of new pump available to us. Ben replaced the pump and prior to leaving our home he made sure that all of our questions were answered to our satisfaction. We were very pleased with Ben's professionalism and will definitely call him again in the future for any plumbing issues that may arise.

Steven was very professional. He stayed really late to get my water heater in. He re-routed the existing poorly installed piping. Cleaned everything up from install. Made sure everything worked perfectly. I am actually about to call them again on another issue. Would highly recommend this company!

- Had Majestic come out about 3-4 months ago - they had a promo through Angie's list (check out your water pressure, inspect the system) - wanted them to also check out a recirculation pump installed at the water heater - took too long to get hot water to kitchen sink and master bath shower so this pump was installed by another plumbing co. to help speed the heat - technician was great - did the inspection - looked at the pump - suspected it was bad but did not have a replacement readily available - never got around to a quick follow up - end of Dec decided to call them back to get this fixed (now the issue was the bad pump kept warm water circulating so the water was always tepid, NEVER got cold) - lady was great - said that the technician I had last had left them - suggested they would send someone out to check out the pump then run to their warehouse or store to get the proper replacement - scheduled appointment quickly for same week (Fri 1/2/15) for a window of 10am - was at the house all day Friday - no one came or called - called Majestic around 2pm to tell them no one showed - spoke to a guy - was told twice they had been to the home and fixed a 1" PVC pipe (Hello?) - told them they were wrong, no one had showed and the PVC was NOT my issue (harsher voice this time) - put on hold - came back and told me there "must be a glitch in the system" and they recorded a complete against the wrong order - they offered to send someone over when available but I knew this job entailed either draining the water heater or some other several hour effort which, after waiting all morning for them, was not going to happen - told them to cancel the order and wanted to speak to a supervisor - was transferred but stayed on hold longer than I wanted - hung up - scratched them off the list and am looking for someone else.

We contacted Majestic Plumbing about a week after purchasing our fixer upper home and noticed some strangeness with different faucets and showers. The tech arrived and did a whole walk-through of the house with me. Very friendly and professional. He pointed out problems we currently had and may encounter in the future. He showed me how to fix some of the smaller issues on my own, and pointed out things that were better left to professionals. The inspection revealed that our water heater was 23 years old, and though it was currently still producing hot water, it was probably on its last legs. With that knowledge in hand, we decided to go ahead and have it replaced before we moved into the home. An appointment was made for the next day. The tech arrived on time and gave a courtesy call about 30 minutes in advance. He was able to install the new gas water heater and replace all the copper pipes in just a few hours. He did not leave behind a mess and walked me through how to ignite the pilot light. Overall very pleased with the experience. The price seemed a bit steep, but with the timeline my wife and I had in place, we didn't shop around. For the upcoming year we plan on renovating 2 bathrooms and possibly the kitchen, and if plumbing is needed, we will at least get a quote from Majestic Plumbing.

The technician quoted $1300 to replace a standard 50 gallon water heater. I ended up having it replaced by a different plumber at a fraction of the cost. I consider myself a fair and objective consumer. I thought the technician was perfectly nice - but the estimate was too high.

I have a sewage holding tank due to my house is below the city sewage line. My sewage sub pump that pumps from the holding tank to the street went out. The first company I called said my pump was burned out and I needed a new one. They also said that since the grade to the street was so steep and so far I needed a commercial grade grinding pump. They first quoted me $3500.00 to replace it, then the service guy called his office and after he got off the phone said it would be more like $5000.00! I told them I would think about it. Then he said ?well, you can?t flush the toilet until this is fixed.? I called Majestic and they came out the next morning. I told Majestic my pump was bad and needed a new one. Majestic quoted me that SAME pump for one third the price!! ONE THIRD!!! SAME PUMP!!! I told them to go ahead and replace it and I went off to work. Several hours later the Majestic service guy told me that my old pump was fine and that it just needed to be rewired. He rewired it to code and put a new kill switch on the side of the house for, get this? $550.00!! WOW, I was already to pay for the new pump and I would have NEVER KNOWN that it was still good since I was not there to supervise the new install. Man that is integrity. The other company was using my emergency situation to rip me off, they assumed that I would make a rash decision and not get a second opinion. I am glad I did and I am glad I called Majestic. Will I use them again? What do you think?

The service man Eric was very nice and very personable, explain what he was doing and did it well.

Arrived punctually, good approach to customer. But the prices quoted were really high, unless I'm in the dark about what plumbers make these days. The Pressure Reduction Valve, including labor, was $342.50, as quoted beforehand. However, after he left (and we subsequently left) the house, the next morning we noticed a 1/2 inch of water on the floor of the garage, originating at the PVR valve. Turns out the plumber used some flux for soldering that he hadn't used before, and it was not sufficient. He fixed it the next day (noon); no long-lasting water damage, we don't think. But disappointing for a standard job. One month later, we needed a complete toilet tank redo, and I noticed that he had priced it at $365. That just sounded way too high for something that was fairly straightforward and not at all difficult for a licensed plumber to do. Would check the price of other plumbers before going with Majestic.
