 + -1 moreHolly Builders was recommended to me by the engineer who calculated what needed to be done to remove a load bearing wall. When I called Dan, I let him know that the framing was all I wanted done, I wasn't interested in hiring a GC. Dan began asking me all sorts of questions about the rest of the job. Did I have a cabinet maker, what kind of appliances was I planning to use, etc. I evaded the questions and again reiterated I was only interested in having the framing done. He scheduled an appointment and came out. After looking around, he told me "I'm a GC and this is a $200K job and unless I do it all, I'm not interested in the job." What a waste of his time and mine. I feel like he thought he could frighten me into thinking the scope of the work was beyond what I could manage and so I would hire him for it all. He also came to my door without a mask, didn't even have one with him in his car. When I asked him to wait at the door, I would bring him a mask, he said, "I don't have Covid. I have a 96 year old mother in law so I get tested." What? How did he know if maybe I have Covid and he would bring it home to her? We wear masks to protect others and I would never assume I was welcome to step into a strangers house unmasked during a pandemic. The whole interaction with him seemed dishonest and shifty.

Description of Work: They built a dining room in my house. This included removing an existing interior wall, installing doors, adding trim, and lighting. Their work was very high quality and everything was done on time and on budget I recommend them highly. They are a pleasure to work with.
