Kenny did a beautiful job and was delightful to deal with. We had to wait until the weather cooperated so a few delays but certainly not Kenny's fault. Very pleased and will definitely call again.

I cannot begin to tell the whole story, too ludicrous, you probably would not believe me. Just know this, run, run, run to the nearest exit, this guy is very sincere but totally incompetent, will have to redo at least half of the work, did not finish half of what he said he could in 16 hours, very poor value on money spent, totally disappointed.

I had been searching for a good handyman contractor for months. I read about Kenny in my monthly Angie's List magazine. He returned my call promptly, came by and gave me an estimate for the work. He arrived on time. He was professional and very pleasant, and cleaned up after himself. I am working on my list for next time. I am so happy to have found a really good handyman!

Kenny's immediate preview of my list of needs, on site, and suggestions for remediation helped me prepare for his expert service. He worked tirelessly, effectively, and energetically to complete the list of needs. I could not be happier with the outcome! We worked well together and he cleaned up before he left for the day. I would certainly use him again. His work ethic is amazing!

He was overbooked and worked alone, so he was often unavailable after he scheduled to show up.o

They did excellent work. He didnt leave one single paint spot on the floor. Couldn't be happier.

Over a 3 day period (non consecutive days), Kenny showed up promptly and diligently worked on our checklist of projects. Even when we ran into a curve ball on a couple of repairs, he was unflappable and worked until he solved the problem. My wife and I trusted him immediately and decided to expand our list to have Kenny come back. We originally had chosen another contractor to replace tiles in 2 upstairs bathrooms, but Kenny brought in a tile separate team that did an outstanding job and saved us hundreds of dollars. Kenny was able to do plumbing work, electrical work, carpentry work and intuitively think through each task. He also gave us some great ideas on aesthetic improvements. I could go on and on about how much a pleasure it was to work with Kenny. It is difficult for me to to take seriously a couple of the reviews posted on this site especially after experiencing Kenny's attitude and work ethic. I do not always write reviews on Angie's List, especially if the work is only satisfactory. However, when an individual is outstanding and takes pride in what they do, they deserve accolades. We will immediately think of Kenny whenever we have future projects.

This project has been like the Army!! Hurry up and Wait!! Kenny had to frame out the place/holes where the 10 new windows will go. I didn't realize it would take 2 months once the window openings are measured and then ordered, made and delivered to be installed. Kenny has been flexible in waiting for the windows to come in. In the mean time - he worked on the ceiling and preparing it for the tong and groove wood boards and adding the insulation. He was able to fix/correct the side wall that was pulling away from the house. He is always on the job on the days we select, he cleans up behind himself and his work is quality work. My husband and I feel that his price is very fair. We appreciate his work, his ideas and suggestions.

I have to tell you clearly that I am not pleased with the service rendered and my review is going to reflect that. When I originally purchased the advertised deal on Angie's list, I had him come out to the house for a pre-inspection and discussion and at that time clearly explained what I needed done. External Chimney repair (wooden siding), back 2 steps rebuilt and installation of storm door. He assured me that he had a 'crew' that worked quickly that could accomplish the work quickly after your initial inspection. We settled on a day and he showed up late by himself and then proceeded to renege on the agreed upon work. When he showed up at my home the 2nd time he told me that he could not complete the chimney repair that a different type of contractor would need to do it. Had he told me this initially, I would have told Kenny that we needed to close out the deal and I would move on with finding someone to do that work as it was the primary job that I needed to be completed. He showed up without the promised crew of workers, it took the entire day to accomplish the rebuild of the 2 short back stairs, he did not install the storm door. He disappeared for close to 2 hours when he went to buy wood at home depot (which by the way is 10 minutes from my house) and I had to call him to find out where he was. He left a mess of rusty nails behind that people stepped on. I spent $429.00 including the $80.00 that he asked for as reimbursement for the wood purchase. To date I have not seen a receipt for that. At the end of the day, he asked me to 'be patient with you' and that you would return after working on other jobs. Now in your communication above you are stating that this is a courtesy? I have paid hard earned money for work to be accomplished and I expect that when I do that, especially when it is up front that the work is done. I feel that I have been taken advantage of and I do not want this individual to return to my property under any circumstances.

Please read entire review. First Kenny did not show on the day we initially scheduled - he had overbooked and was already on the other site (minus point). Since I had taken a day off to meet him (and I'm not paid if I'm not at work) Kenny agreed to come on a weekend day - and he did (plus point). The price was fine for 8 hours of work (I could not estimate how long it would take but knew 8 hours would cover it) (plus point). He arrived promptly that weekend (plus point). Kenny was very creative in helping me design a solution for the patio screen (plus 2 points). He did a perfect job on cutting the boards and hanging the shelves, and assembling the furniture (plus 5 points). When he was hanging the living room shelves he banged on the shelf to be sure it was securely in place and knocked off breakable collectables on the other side of the wall (minus 2 points). Fortunately it was not the most treasured of the items and I fixed it with glue although the item lost value because of the break. He later accidentally broke a crystal Champaign glass that was on a kitchen counter because something slipped (minus 2 points). Again fortunately it was not my favorite but it could not be repaired. I could live with the other accidents - things happen. Kenny did not take the TV stand completely off before hanging the TV so even today it has part of the stand on it. (minus 1/2 ) The biggest problem was shortly after he used the restroom there was a knock on the front door and on my way to the door I could tell the problem. The toilet had overflowed and there was (no exaggeration) 2 inches of water on the bathroom and kitchen floors. (minus 8 points) At the door was the building maintenance to say that my downstairs neighbor's place was being flooded. Kenny continued to assemble the furniture as I was left to bail out the flood (I went through all of my wash clothes and had loads of laundry to do as a result). A cleaning company had to be called to vacuum up all the water in both places. Some of my items were damaged due to the water and repairs had to be made to my neighbors place. There is no way there could be that much water without Kenny noticing the water was flowing out of the toilet before he left the restroom. I talked management out of suing Kenny for the damages to the neighbors place. At no time did Kenny apologize for the flood (he did apologize for the two broken items) and he did not offer to pay for the damages to anything (and I didn't ask). I had some time left in the package and had some other things I wanted done but once he completed the major tasks I said we were even and let him go. He was amazingly strong for his slight build. He is very creative (like with the screen) and he did a perfect job on the items he completed (everything was straight / plumb). Just a bit of a bull in a china shop.

I bought a big deal for this and it was okay. There was an additional charge of $120 for the materials and extra time. He had to come back and everything was not done.

Kenny was terrific - I highly recommend him. We quickly made an appointment for a meet'n' greet: he came to my home to see what needed to be done and what tools to bring. Kenny arrived promptly on our scheduled days, was very efficient with his time, careful with his work (he genuinely wants to deliver high quality work) and accommodating with my questions. I'm already scheduled for our next visit, when we'll be using the famous Dust-less Sander. (I'm a total convert - no more drywall grit on everything.) Thanks, Kenny!

Overall Kenny was very professional, courteous, and punctual. He completed a number of handyman type tasks, including repair of drywall in the bathroom, bedroom, and kitchen, installation of an over the range microwave. Through no fault of his, the condo association rules required him to leave about 2 hours earlier than scheduled, so some of the original tasks that he agreed to didn't get done. Because his schedule was booked 3 weeks in advance, I had to bring in another contractor to complete this work, including completing the installation of the kitchen and bathroom light fixtures, reinforcement of the microwave, and installing/caulking the second of two corner beads in the bathroom.

Wonderful! Kenny was extremely personable and professional. He says his motto is "every customer is my grandmother," and he appears to live by this creed, as he treated me with the utmost respect and care. The only problem was that it took a while for us to connect for him to do the job because his professionalism and the quality of his workmanship has made him VERY POPULAR! :-) Would use him again and again

First, Kenny installed the exterior flood light that was giving us problems. I had purchased the fixture and Kenny installed it. The height was problematic but Kenny was able to use his experience and get the job done. Our new LED light now lights up the driveway magnificently! He then installed our new front exterior door that we had also purchased. He removed the old front door and installed the new front door. Throughout the process Kenny was very careful not to damage any existing molding, siding or drywall. He was very meticulous in scoring the paint first then removing the existing molding to ensure a clean removal and reuse of molding. Lastly, we need new floor tile and tub/shower surround tile installed in our master bathroom. Kenny used his dependable tile subcontractor to get this job done. They demolished and removed the old tile, leveled the floor, installed new backer-board, installed the tile, grouted the tile and sealed the tile all in 3 days. (day 1 was demo; day two install tile and day 3 grout & seal tile). They did a great job with the transition from tile to carpet, did a great job making great accurate cuts as well as tight grout lines. Kenny Mac is very dependable, he was always on time and always explained the process. There were never any surprises. The 3 projects Kenny did for me exceeded my expectations and will definitely be using Kenny for ALL of our home project needs.

Called gentleman regarding needing some work done fairly quickly. He seemed quite responsive and willing to help. I told him my tight timelines and he said someone had cancelled so he would definitely get me in the following week. I elected to wait. He called me a few days later wanting to do the inspection. I was at work and called him back less than an hour later, but he indicated his window of opportunity had closed. Understood. Never received another call so the morning of the week the work was to be done I called and left a message trying to figure out status. No response. I called back about 7 hours later. He answered and proceeds to tell me he couldn't get to me that week but would schedule me for the following week. Wait...I thought I was scheduled for this week????? As my mom used to say, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."

Kenny's a great guy and customer-focused. I was impressed that he wanted to come meet me and see the job before he put it on his schedule. He was punctual and well-mannered. I had no difficulty with leaving him here in the house to run to HD to get additional supplies. He is thorough, which is both a positive and a bit negative. Less than perfect (B grade) for price because I really didn't think the items on the above list would take the 8 hours that were prepaid. Less than perfect (B grade) for quality because attention to detail could improve ... fan light not completely level, drawer front not exactly centered; Euro hinged doors not adjusted to match center reveal with that of the other cupboards. Nit picky, but to me an "A" grade means perfect.

We originally thought about simple drywall, but Kenny (the HB Remodeling proprietor) encouraged us to consider other options like paneling or bead board. We ended up selecting an unfinished wood paneling system with tongue and groove connections. The work project was estimated to take 2 days (starting June 3rd) but ended up taking 4 days, but Kenny was extremely thorough. He showed up on time, left the workspace clean each day, and was very open to suggestions and questions. Despite the longer duration and slightly higher cost we anticipated, we could not be happier with the outcome! We have already scheduled with HB Remodeling again to continue work in the living room and replace the paneled walls with drywall.

Great. Was very busy but he worked me into his schedule.

He was on time, was easy to work with, communicated well and completed the work at a good pace of time. I would recommend him to others.

They only were available in June. I will not be here in June so I could not use this deal.

I gave them long list of items to do for the day and left them to work. At the end of the day, everything was done and they gave me a receipt of the items they had to purchase ($41). Very professional and honest service.

My husband and I were very pleased with Kenny. He was personable and friendly. The work was completed efficiently and we are pleased with the results. Good attention to detail and the mess has been minimal. I appreciated that he took extra time to survey what needed to be done. I also appreciated his flexibility when we changed what we needed and discovered the leaky sink needed to be done. He was punctual, dedicated and helpful. We actually hired him for another big job following these two days. We would highly recommend him.

Handyman for a day was a great experience. Mac was right on time. I had him rehang a closet door, which took about 2/3rds of the day. He did a great job and cleaned up all the wood residue and dust. There were a number of small jobs, like repair a stair rail in side and a railing problem on the front porch. I liked the work and Mac's professionalism, I asked him for a quote on painting my garage and adding base boards. Quote was nearly $300 less than others. Mac prepped all the walls, got the base boards to find nicely around some tough angles, and did a superb job painting. He ran out of paint needed to do the recessed space where the water heater is located. He came back on his own time and finished the job with no extra charge. He bought the paint and took about an hour and a half to do the painting correctly. He also, at no charge, painted the door jam for the door leading from the garage into the house. The garage looks great! I'd hire him again for sure.
