Brandon came by on a cold call and setup an inspection of the roof. There was damage, so we scheduled a repair. We also asked about removing a tree and repairing a section of gutter that fell. They advertised both of these services. We never heard back about the tree. When we finalized the roofing contract we mentioned the gutters and got a quote. We at least wanted them to take down the gutter. Overall I rate the roof as an A. They were quick to schedule and banged out the roof in a day. They did great work and did a good job cleaning up afterwards. I have no issues on the work they did on the roof and would recommend them. The gutters, however, are a different story. Turns out Brandon never submitted the quote for the gutter so they had no idea. So nothing happened the day of the roof repair....still had dangling gutter. We call on Monday and they say they;ll move us to the top of the list....10 days later. They must contract with a 3rd party for their gutters because a random gutter company shows up. After walking around outside for a while they leave. We call Emerson again and ask what's going on. They say that the gutter company saw we have 6" gutters (not true, we have 5") and that they knocked on the door to let us know (not true, I work from home and I have a dog that goes berserk if someone knocks on the door). So we basically gave up. We went with another gutter company that came out the next day and did great work. I think Emerson underbid the gutters and really wasn't interested in doing them. So the bottom line is I recommend Emerson for roofs, but I would not recommend them for their other services.

From the bidding process through project completion they were prompt, courteous and professional. Pricing was competitive and quality of work exceptional. The scope of the job was to paint the entire interior of the clubhouse, walls, trim and ceiling, using multiple colors and brand as selected by the board prior to bidding, accent walls, all existing nails removed and holes patched and painted. The project was completed timely, as instructed, professionally and upon inspection approved without exception. No items left for punch list. Will use as approved bidder for any applicable future projects.

My neighborhood experienced wind and storm damage as a result of a tornado that hit less than a mile away. Emerson circulated throughout my neighborhood explaining they were experienced in working with insurance companies to submit claims for roof damage as a result of such storms. They were very good in providing guidance through the insurance claim submission processes. I asked if they could do some interior painting and exterior painting as well and they said absolutely as they were a complete home services provider. I have nothing to compare the roof installation to but learned after asking, the roofers were not Emerson employees but rather a 3rd party vendor - I was not happy they did not disclose that without me having to ask. On the day of the roof installation, a hammer was dropped through my roof and damaged my kitchen ceiling. I immediately brought it to the attention of the Emerson representative and was not happy that the person who dropped it did not report it to the foreman - what would have happened if I wasn't home when they were putting the roof on? Walk into my kitchen to see sheet rock on the floor and a hole in my ceiling? Conclusion: Emerson did a poor quality patch job on my kitchen ceiling with an equally poor painting job; they had to re-patch the ceiling again and repaint the kitchen ceiling 3 times to get it right. The real nightmare came when trying to negotiate the interior/exterior painting. They are masters of telling you what you want to hear and trying to charm their way through negotiations, constantly trying to reassure that they'll take care of things and "do right by you." After over a month of face-to-face meetings, email exchanges, phone calls etc. they were never able to provide an itemized estimate of the work - it was as if this was the first time they had heard of such a request. After stating that I would pull the plug on using them for this work, they provided a very high level estimate (not at all what I had asked for) but to be honest, I was just worn out from the whole process so I gave the go ahead to proceed. To this day I have no idea who the project manager was for the interior/exterior painting done at my house - Alan and Blake never wrote anything down which resulted in the wrong paint being delivered, scheduling the exterior painting to be done before they even finished pressure washing, etc. (they pressure washed part of the house one day and never came back to finish. I had to follow-up on this with their office manager to get it scheduled to be done). It was such a mismanaged painstaking process that what should have take 1-2 days to complete, took 3-4 because of their disorganization, miscommunication and mismanagement. I ended up having to take time off from work as I did not trust the job nor quality they would do without me being there to watch because again, there was no one from Emerson that was doing the oversight and quality assurance. The unprofessionalism was exemplified when Blake, who supposedly is part owner of the company or something, offered to just stop in the middle of the job and leave because he was getting frustrated with us calling them out on the aforementioned disorganization, miscommunication, etc. We asked he not return to our property/this job and later learned several of our neighbors also banned him from their property/jobs. Long story short, if you use Emerson, be prepared to fill the roles of project manager, foreman, and quality control yourself and have the time to be onsite and oversee it all. Painful does not sufficiently describe the process we went through and I will never use their services again nor recommend them.

Very nice work. Very clean and careful. As this was in the immediate area of the HOA pool we did not want to close the pool to residents for the work to be performed. Workers were careful to keep debris away from pool side and to not block access to bathrooms.

A company representative contacted us to discuss our concerns and refunded the full amount paid. Their willingness to work with us on this issue was much appreciated.

Eddie Emerson, the owner's son, came by on a "cold call" and asked if I wanted him to take a look at my roof. The house is only about 14 years old but the roof was showing signs of age. After inspecting the roof he said he saw damage that was caused by wind. He offered to work with my insurance company to see if they would cover it. He also told me the roofing material was no longer manufactured so simply replacing the bad shingles was not an option. We called the insurance company a few days later and I formally submitted a claim and allowed Emerson to represent me with the insurance company. Their adjuster came to the house and agreed there was wind damage and that the entire roof needed to be replaced. The price was set solely on what the insurance company would pay, less my deductible. So I got a new roof that was better than the old one for about $800. I met the owner of the company, Eddie's father, as well. He's a terrific guy, was very helpful and honest with us. We had a problem with gutter covers, which were not so great to begin with but they did the job. Emerson offered to replace them all at no charge because some of them were damaged during the roofing process. They did replace them all and this is a fairly large house. I highly recommend Emerson Home Repair and would do business with them again.

They were pretty good. I would recommend them to others. It was same day service, and they arrived on time. The girl that answered the phone was knowledgeable and she go me to who I need to speak with right away. The service was great.

They were professional, courteous, and on time. I have no complaints, and I was pleased with it. There was no damage to the house while they were working. They were very clean with minimal disruption.

Extremely well. Came out for an estimate the day after we called. Meet with the insurance adjustor when they came out to inspect, and pointed out the damaged areas. Started the job when they said they would, job ran over due to weather issues. Estimate was right on in regards to cost. Professional and polite.
