hardwood floor
+ -1 moreJohn and his crew showed up on time, worked from early morning till late in evening in order to prep the floor. They finished all the sanding and removal of the rubber backing as well as all the new floor the first day and even applied the first coat of finish. They worked efficiently and came back the next day to apply the second coat of stain/polyurethane to the floor and buff out the first coat. They also finished all the show molding the second day and John came in to finish the carpentry projects. John was easy to communicate with and kept me up to date either by phone or text messaging so I didn't have to track him down for status updates. I'm a happy customer.
Description of Work: Hardwood flooring refinishing in a 50's style house just under 1000 square feet. After we removed the carpet the previous owner had put over the hardwoods they needed the rubber backing removed fromt he flooring and the floors needed refinished. The center of the home needed patchwork done where a gas heater was removed and there was also an area near the front door that needed relaid in order to fix rot. One of the rooms did have to have the floor replaced as it was damaged from water leakage thru the years. There was also some carpentry repair needed on the 2 entry door way, the thresholds needed to be replaced and new brick molding put in to replace rotted areas.
