When I called them to request an estimate, my initial impression was very positive. The lady I spoke to made an appointment for someone to come by my house and do the estimate. Without being asked for references, she assured me that they would be sure to bring references with them. The guy who came by for the estimate was very polite and professional. However, there was no mention of references until I asked about them. He said that he didn't bring any, but he took my email address and promised to send me some later. I never received them, which left me wondering if they would follow through with their commitments on other aspects of the job. The estimate seemed reasonable, and he said that he would follow up with me in a few weeks to see where I stood on the project at that time. Based on their lack of follow up on the references, I decided to go with someone else for the painting. In any case, I never heard back from them after they gave me the estimate.

We were very pleased with their performance. They arrived on time and worked tirelessly without breaks.They were cheerful and courteous. And finished faster than we had expected.

The painting went okay; acceptable job but not stellar. The pressure washing was quite a fiasco initially and they did not do a good, thorough job. Dixon made it 'right' however in that once they understood my dissatisfaction, the field manager and QA manager paid me a visit and to view the work that had been performed. The work was re-done and they went over and above what they needed to do--they hand wiped the gutters that did not come clean and touched up the deck railing with paint where that did not clean up as well. The second time around they were very good to work with and because of how they handled the problem, I would use them again. They also did not charge me for the work--so the $650 fee was waived.

We had a very good experience with them. They were very thorough and very quick. We were very pleased with them. The foreman was very responsive with anything we asked for and with checking up on the crew. They did have to repaint a couple of things that they did wrong, and they did it.

They did an excellent job and I would use him again in future.

I was impressed by the accuracy of the measurements that was done by the estimator. He gave me recommendations and suggestions for paint color, coverage, and paint type. The painters arrived on time and with sufficient supplies to complete the job. Again, I was impressed with the quality of work that was done by the crew. They covered everything, taped and masked all fixtures. They made corner cuts between the walls and ceiling without tape which made me wonder how such a straight line could be made by hand. They were truly skilled painters. They finished on time and thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. There was very little evidence that they were there at all, with the exception of a nice, white professionally painted ceiling. I was very happy with the work.

The chief contractor, Roy, with Dixon Painting was very professional, courteous, and responsive. His estimate was very fair, and he himself stated payment would be at the time the job was completely finished, not before. We were also having carpeting replaced, which required the bulk of the painting to be completed first, then the carpeting was installed (by another company), then Dixon painters had to come out again to paint baseboards and repair nicks from the carpet installers. They came back as promised, and even re-hung the closet bi-fold door in my daughter's room that the carpeters had damaged. They were pleasant and courteous, and very reasonable. I would definitely use Dixon Painting again!

As I said, the only problem was they twice canceled the appointment to work but considering that was during the heavy rains (any time there was a break in the weather, they had to go back on some backlogged exterior work elsewhere) I think it was understandable.

Dixon was originally scheduled to start on 9/21 but because of the HEAVY rains started on Tues. 9/22 with pressure wash of house. On 9/23 did all prep work and primer painting and completed entire job by end of day on Friday 9/25. It's a PERFECT job and I would DEFINITELY recommend them to anyone needing painting. Also they were the lowest bid from 4 quotes for the job.

They were good all around. They were on time every day and cleaned up. They did everything they were supposed to. Their quality and responsiveness were excellent. I would definitely use them again. We had gotten two bids for the job.

They arrived promptly for the estimate and gave me a very reasonable price within minutes of estimating work to be done. The two painters worked fast and efficiently. The walls look very nice. After completion of the work, the same day, someone from the company even came by to see if I was satisfied with the work. Their customer service/responsiveness is superb.

The paint job was very well done. They were punctual. They bring in enough people to get it all done in one day. They moved the furniture, so I didn't have to worry about anything. They cleaned up after themselves. The price is a little high, but you get what you pay for.

They were very well mannered. The foreman was very good. If we had any problems we spoke to the foreman. The team leader came to check everyday. Their price was in competitive. When the head person came to give the estimate he was very nice, professional and knowledgeable. He gave a very nice presentation and broke things down. He was very easy to work with. They were here when they said they were going to be here everyday but if they were delayed they kept us informed. I will use them again.

I would rated them an A- . For any of their faults they made it up by being understanding and trying to solve the problems when an issue came up. They are good people to work with if you need to get the house painted.

Exterior Impressions: I hired a "professional" to do the wood rot outside so I'd get the job done better than I could do myself. I ended up with a job on par with what I could have done myself when they repaired the post between my fake French doors. The gutter, chimney cap and door work was OK, but there was very little attention paid to preparation of the surfaces before the painting was completed. Interior Impressions: Their communication with me to coordinate which room would be painted when was non-existent and resulted in a lot of stress trying to get things cleaned up and moved for their work. They did move a lot of things for us, but there were many things I'd have rather cleaned up than have them move, if given the chance. As expected, there were definitely areas that needed touch-up work after they were "done." This was not surprising and did not bother me. What bothered me was the quality of the touch up work and the lack of follow-through on completing the things I wanted done. I ended up needing to call them back out again the next week, and even then certain things didn't look like they were professionally done. Before I chose Dixon, I was assured all nail pops would be fixed, all previous poor mud work would be smoothed/repaired and any blemishes would be smoothed as a portion of the work. As it stands, there are multiple nail-pops still obvious, some rough texture left on walls, some overly smooth texture on others (from the previously mentioned poor touch ups), rough mud work, and even one space everybody missed by them doing some mud but not smoothing/painting. Overall Impressions: The only primer used in my project was the gutters. Countless places were repaired inside my house with drywall "mud", and not a single spot of that was covered with primer before the paint was applied. Any stains were covered with mud and not primer. This doesn't impress me as being a quality product. My overall impression of the work done by Dixon Painting was poor for the carpentry work and average for the painting. I would never use them again and would recommend against them to my friends.

They did a great job and they were willing to fix issues that I had pointed out. We also asked them to do a couple of other jobs and they did with no problem.

They came out and did the job very well. They were on time and prompt about finishing the job that they actually finished ahead of schedule and they were tidy and we had no problems at all.

They were very professional, very friendly and on time. I would recommend them and use them again. Everyone spoke perfect English. They also replaced wood too. They were very knowledgeable.

Very professional salesperson, great prep work (especially on the bathrooms) and solid painting. Brought in a crew of five people and had it finished in two days. Did have miscommunication on the paint (flat vs. eggshell), but when I identified the issue, they immediately fixed the issue at no additional cost to me. I was also able to get quick quotes on painting the dining room (was not planning to) and painting the kitchen again (wife did not like the first color - no issues with the painting) and they still got it all done in two days. I would definitely recommend them especially for people with larger jobs who want it done in a hurry. I would recommend that the owner be around while they are painting for large jobs as things get done so quick that you have to be around to make sure you are happy with the results (like your choice of paint color, additional coats, etc.). Bottom line is that they were excellent at what they did, flexible and priced fairly.

Removed wallpaper from kitchen, powder room and upstairs bath, then painted each room along with a bedroom. Did an excellent job in all four rooms. Very professional, cleaned up well and were very responsible.

The estimator and job coordinator, R. Murillo of Dixon Painting, is an all business, courteous professional who has the crews on site when they are supposed to be. The crews work quietly (no radios) and sufficiently to do a first rate professional job.

Outstanding! Good estimating - good follow up. Professional workers on time, provided more than a full days work. Clean men, clean job, polite and pleasant. We could not be more pleased with the project from start to finish!

There were four layers of ugly wallpaper that had to be removed and these guys worked and worked. They repaired the walls and made them beautiful! I love my new room!!
