I started looking for someone that could complete my unfinished basement in May. I had received several estimates that were all different prices. Though when I meet with Jason Richards, he asked what I and my wife both wanted. Jason listens and within a week he provided me with the estimate. The estimate was fair, and I felt that he would deliver he was honest and truthful that's something that you don't always get. There are contractors that will tell you anything to get the job and then can't deliver. Jason provided me with a time along with time and week each portion would be completed with the total dollar amount due. Two and half months and the project is finished with no hidden charges everything as we agreed. I love everything about the process. This company built out my entire basement (close to 2000 square feet). If you want a top quality job and no cutting corners, you'll want to consider this guy. This is a family owned company that takes tremendous pride in the quality of their work. They've been in this business so long that they can walk you through "do's and don'ts" that are related to the unique circumstances around your own basement. You will not beat the quality of their custom cabinets--simply stunning work. If I had another basement job, I would definitely go back. As with any major job, things can happen. You can count on this company to fix anything that is on "them" and fix it appropriately. They are super responsive and patient, respectful of your property and they stay on task. I found Jason and his contractors easy to work with and very thorough. I particularly liked the way they laid out their plan for the work and stayed with it step-by-step. They cleaned up after each phase and were amenable to changes as our needs shifted during the project. Overall, it was a very rewarding experience, and the finished product has added spice and an upgrade to our living space.

Everything went great! Jason was a real help throughout the whole time. Would constantly communicate and update me on the process. Was very patient and understanding when I added a few things along the way. Jason helped me with recommendations that would improve the look of my basement. The work was very clean and organized. Working with Jason on the my vision for my basement "mancave" was easier than I expected. I've heard horror stories from others about contractors, but Jason and Creative Basements are nothing like that. All the ideas that I wanted to incorporate he got done. And some of them where out of the ordinary. They use great people and are very professional. We live in Dallas Georgia and decided to get our walkout basement finished for my mom to have her own apartment. Creative Basements did a bedroom, bathroom, living room for about 850 ft.². It took about three months starting in the last quarter of 2020 and just finished in January 2021. They did a great job and all the work was performed better than expected. I hired Creative Basements to finish our basement after I quickly realized it was too much of a task to do myself. Jason came to the rescue and created the perfect basement for our family. The quality and craftmanship of the work turned out great. We entertain family and friends regularly, and everyone is wowed by how it turned out. Our project went very well. Jason and Robert were easy to work with and well organized. Jason helped me visualize our basement project and had excellent ideas which were an improvement over my original plan. We ended up with an outstanding finished basement which has all of the elements we needed. Furthermore, Jason was able to expedite the project which began right before the CCP virus panic, so that it would be done should my sons get sent home from college or if my office closed. All of which happened and the finished basement was a blessing. Quality of work is very good, and trim work is terrific. Would definitely hire again.

No matter what the issue was, they were there to make sure the job was done properly and were always receptive to questions and input during the entire process. They are experienced and confident. This was a major investment on our part (>$85k on a >$400k home), so we gathered 5 different quotes from reputable companies with similar service and focus. While price was a factor, it was not the most important criteria. We rated quality of workmanship and executional ease the highest. I have a professional career here in Atlanta and no time or margin for construction headaches. Creative Basements won my contract, even though they were not the cheapest game in town. One difference is that team at Creative Basements has a well-vetted, loyal, high-quality contractor network that they use for every job. They will work for Creative Basements at the drop of a hat because Bob and team pay them a fair wage, on a tight draw schedule that ensures they get paid. We saw this first-hand throughout construction and noticed the great relationship Bob and Jason have with everyone on their team. This is important to me as I want to ensure that I'm partnered with someone who values results and relationships - and treats their skilled workers and partners fairly. Another key difference is their solid execution plan. They present a floor plan ahead of the project, and a full draw schedule, so that you only pay for work as it's completed (minus a very small, initial deposit as earnest funds). This is huge for peace of mind. Let me say that again - you only pay for work as it's completed. This means that you can have 100% confidence that your project is meeting your goals along the way, without feeling a huge financial pressure. Now, since that's the benefit, you need to ensure that you're ready to pay each draw quickly (within a day or two), out of respect for the workers that have completed the work. That's part of the magic here and what makes the whole deal go so smoothly. All of this paid-off in the execution of a gorgeous project for a very large (~2000 sq ft) basement, complete with full apartment, full bath, kitchen, workout room, storage room and two living areas. While it took a little longer (5 vs. 4 months), it was actually due to modifications that I requested mid-construction. Bob and Jason were both gracious, and talked me through cost and timeline implications each time. In these cases, as long as you're willing to work within their good counsel, you'll see great results. Of course, the best situation is to finalize your plans up front and avoid modifications if at all possible. One piece of advice: pick out your colors for walls, carpet, counter tops as early as possible. They need these quickly, once the project begins. So have these all picked out. Bob and Jason are direct and straight-forward in their approach with clients. They work well with clients who appreciate that kind of wise, expert counsel. They won't steer the project wrong. They'll also answer questions along the way. They are incredibly responsive on text, email and phone calls. This was incredibly meaningful and helpful, as questions naturally arise. We actually feel like these guys are a part of our extended family - we trust them and they delivered great results in great way. We have a great basement that we continue to enjoy today. We're often referring friends to Bob. Give these guys a chance to earn your business. I guarantee that you won't regret it.
